The city Parth

After three more hours and without any kind of attack we could see some walls that surround what seems to be a city.

"Oh I can see Parth!" A horse-mounted adventurer shouted.

The city of Parth was a city that was somewhat known as a resting place for some merchants.

From what Cliff told me their total population was about 10,000. And also the only city to have a guild in the area, was in parth.

Of course there were other cities with guilds and other things.

Now that I remember, I forgot to ask him how to get into the city.

"How much does it cost to enter the town?" I asked my question.

"Ah, it's 3000 Zenis." He answered.

Damn, that's expensive, currently we only have 10 thousand zenis and if we spend those three our money will be reduced a lot.

"I see. How much per night in an inn? The cheapest there is"

"Well, if it's the cheapest it would be 900 Zenis. Of course, only the rooms, the rest with the food would be 1500 Zenis"

Hearing that, I just roll my eyes since we were literally the ones who saved the group of adventurers, but we agreed that no one would say anything about it.

"Okay, it will be 6 thousand Zenis for both of us. I guess the wolf is your pet?" the guard asked.

"Yes, that's right" said Cliff.

"Okay, here's your temporary three-day certificate, once you run out you have to go get another one" explained the guard giving us two cards.

Learning something new, I learned that the adventurers have a kind of special certificate which allows entry to the towns to be free. So we must go there first to register ourselves.

"Welcome to the city of parth!"

To join the guild there is an age restriction which is ten years and older, although the youngest can serve as supports for the teams and have work experience.

Although there is a test to be admitted as adventurers given by an evaluator who will evaluate you if you passed or not.

"Okay I'll go to my shop, I suppose you guys are going to the adventurer's guild?" Cliff asked to which we nodded.

"Yes, now our priority is to be adventurous" I said.

"I see... My store is located on the west street, if you have time feel free to pay a visit."

After saying goodbye we went our separate ways.

Although I asked him for the address of the guild and he explained that if I followed this street I would see the guild building.

I suppose that after getting clothes and money we can pay a visit to our first traveling companion temporarily.

"Well let's go to the adventurer's guild" I told Valery.

"Okay" She said as she stroked the head of Fenrir who was on her shoulder.

We walked down the main street which from what Cliff said was the guild.

From what I see the houses are mostly made of wood, with an architectural style based on Europe around 400 to 500 AD from what I see.

I can even see people of other races, such as humans, others with human features, or just humanoid monsters that wear clothes.

Among the crowd were both civilians and adventurers for their weapons which were in their scabbards.

After a few minutes of walking and appreciating the place, we arrived at our destination.

The adventurer's guild was quite a large two-story building, higher than the other buildings.

I can even feel strong auras of power that were inside.

"Are you ready?" ask eagerly

"Yes" Valerie said.

Without waiting any longer we entered the guild and as expected it was noisy.

There were people talking to each other and others going around taking missions with groups.

Looking around, I noticed that there was a receptionist who was not attending to anyone, so we approached her.

"Hello Miss Receptionist!" I said with a small smile.

The woman gave us a bored look before making a fake face.

"Miss we want to become adventurers" She said calmly.

"You two?" She asked, looking at Valery and me.

"Yeah".

This is getting a bit awkward now.

"Okay but they'll have to do a test if they don't mind."

"We don't have a problem with that" I replied immediately.

"Okay. One moment please" he asked before going to who knows where.

Take advantage of this time to talk to Valery.

"Are you OK?" I asked taking her out of her thoughts.

"Eh?, yes" she replied somewhat uncertainly.

At this I simply put my hand on her head ruffling her hair.

At this I just inflate her cheeks a little.

How cute!

Oh, again those thoughts come to my mind.

"Ahem...If you feel uncomfortable or want to say something just say it" I reminded him again.

At this Valery only remained silent once more.

"I'm sorry I kept you waiting. This way please" said the receptionist leading us to another part.

At the back of the guild was a spacious area surrounded by some walls though in the middle was a large circle similar to a battle arena.

Sitting on top of one of the walls was a seated man.

His height was around 2 meters, he was wearing a crude black and red armor: More or less the appearance of him reminds me of one of the bosses in a video game.

The battle aura from him could be felt perfectly, he was holding a large battle ax at his side, which doubled the menacing presence of him.

"Are you the newbies who want to enter the guild?" his voice was commanding and thick.

"Yes" I said seriously, I wouldn't let him intimidate me.

"I see you've got guts. I'm the examiner for this Neo test."

His name is easier to remember than I thought.

He even reminds me of the Matrix M'C I saw a while back.

"The exam is easy, you have to fight me, it doesn't matter if they come at the same time. If they are defeated easily they fail!" his words were severe.

"Understood" I said taking a step forward.

"Valery I'm counting on you" I told the elf girl who nodded her head.

She is she was using the sword that she had created for him a few hours ago.

At this Neo gave a strong jump where in a second he landed in front of us raising a cloud of dust and smoke.

"We start now" was what he said as he began to release a strong killing intent.
