Wizards and Cultivators

Jack wanted to remain with Tlod for one simple reason: in this inheritance, Wizard Tlod plays the role of the immortal Tlod, the person who will eventually become a true immortal and rule everything. Staying with him would guarantee success.

Of course, the Name 'Tlod' appeared after he discovered his complete law; his parents didn't name him 'Tlod' by birth, but, in this inheritance, he named the Wizard who would play his Role as Tlod; maybe he wanted to hide his real name, or maybe he hated his real name.

There are a few things Jack needs to be careful about. First of all, even though Tlod is not evil, he is not an angel either. He would throw them out if he didn't discover anything useful from them.

Jack can remain safe from the perfection realm cultivators outside as long as he stays here. He would most likely be captured if he is thrown out of the inheritance. Being expelled from Tlod's castle wouldn't automatically disqualify him from staying in the inheritance or winning it, but it would make it much harder.

This is a world of nobility, and Jack is only a commoner with nobody to help him outside. If he loses Tlod's support, he must work hard to fill his stomach. This would be alright if it were a normal world, but it is not. The inheritance doesn't want participants to sit around and fill their stomachs. Events will occur that prevent him from living peacefully. If Tlod throws him out, he would have to work to solve the inheritance or get out; just living here peacefully is not an option.

Jack doesn't want to solve the inheritance or get out. He wants to kill time, and the best way to do that is to stay with Tlod. As long as Tlod allows him to stay, everything will be fine.

Fortunately, Jack has many means to keep Tlod curious: his coding system, task system, grandpa system, etc., all of which Jack would expose to Tlod if he had no other options.

In any case, Tlod is not a danger. Every time a participant fails and exits, the entire inheritance world resets to its original state. Nothing Jack tells Tlod could be leaked to the outside. Even if it leaks, so what? They are already looking for him, so it most likely won't get worse than it already is.

As the real creator of the inheritance, Jack knew exactly what would happen and when—the flow of events, timelines, etc. The entire inheritance's story was about the past of Tlod.

The Wizard Tlod here really existed in the far past.

The world was not always a cultivation world; it used to be a wizarding world. It just changed over time. Quite a few rank 9 Detachment realm Wizards actually lived in the Wizard's era; they are still alive even after who knows how long.

Wizard Tlod's story is about one man's pursuit of the truth. He wanted to discover the reality of life and death. In the Wizard era, everyone thought that after death, they would be reborn, but Tlod was doubtful. He researched until he proved it to be false. It's not to say that the reborn-after-death theory is nonsensical. There are many worlds where people would be reborn after death, but this world wasn't one of those.

Wizard Tlod researched life, death, souls, blood, and all of these forbidden subjects and published his damning evidence that proved that those who die just die and wouldn't be reborn. Doing this greatly angered the Firespirit Kingdom, who ousted him from his lordship and ordered his arrest.

Tlod ran away and researched for thousands of years, finally coming out of the woods, overthrowing the Firesprit Kingdom, and completely revising supernatural training.

When wizards were in power, they believed one must not alter the soul in any way because any such modification would result in issues in the cycle of reincarnation. That's why wizards would go around the nascent soul realm, and their realms of supernatural power would not involve the soul at all. This means wizards have no nascent soul, divine soul, substance soul, multiple soul, void soul, soul transformation, or perfect soul.

Tlod's technique, in direct contrast to wizard cultivation, deeply involved the soul. In the end, the results were obvious. Tlod's methods were much superior, making it much easier to reach 9th rank.

It's not to say that Tlod was the first person to discover a complete law; even wizard methods lead to rank 9. Some wizards successfully discovered their complete law and became true immortals using Wizard techniques.

It's just that the cultivation method involving the soul is much more efficient.

The wizard realm started with rank 0 wizards, also called energy-gatherer wizards. They were as powerful as energy-gathering cultivators, and their only purpose was to gather enough pure energy in their aperture.

The next wizard realm, the 1st rank, was called plasma wizard, which basically involved increasing the concentration of energy in the aperture to the point where it turned from a gas state to a plasma state. Peak plasma wizards were only as strong as late-stage core formation cultivators.

The next wizard realm, the 2nd rank, was called crystallite wizard. It increased the energy to the point that it solidified into an internal energy crystal. The crystal wizard's peak was barely as strong as the early nascent soul realm.

The next wizard realm, the 3rd rank, was called the divine body rank. Contrary to what many people think of them, high-level wizards had very powerful bodies. Divine body wizards had bodies that could withstand powerful spells without needing the protection of spells. The peak of Divine body wizards was stronger than the peak of the nascent soul but not quite as strong as divine soul cultivators.

The next wizard realm, the 4th rank, was called the replacement crystal realm. The energy crystal in the aperture has limits. To advance further, one must improve the quality of energy or the quality of the crystal. Improving the quality of the crystal is easier and is the purpose of the replacement crystal realm. Wizards of this level must look for treasured energy crystals, take out their own energy crystals, improve the quality of their aperture, and merge the outside crystal with their own, placing the final crystal in the strengthened aperture. It is extremely difficult and deadly, but they invented a few techniques that greatly lowered its dangers. Wizards at the peak of the replacement crystal realm are as strong as peak divine soul cultivators.

The next wizard realm, the 5th rank, is called the source energy realm. Wizards who reach this realm have improved aperture, energy crystals, and strengthened bodies. It's time to improve the quality of energy. They have to fuse pure energy together and form what wizards call source energy. Wizards at the peak of this level are as strong as those in the late stage of the substance soul realm.

The next wizard realm, the 6th rank, is called the multiple crystal realm. Wizards of this realm have to gather more treasured energy crystals and implant them in different places of their bodies to increase the quantity of their energy. Wizards of the peak of this realm are as strong as the mid-stage of multiple soul realm.

The next wizard stage, the 7th rank, is called the unitary crystal realm. Wizards of this realm have to unite all of the energy crystals in their body and create a united, integrated, and perfect central energy core. Wizards at the peak of this realm are as strong as the initial stages of the void soul realm.

The next wizard stage, the 8th rank, is called the dismantling realm. Those in this realm must dismantle their energy crystals. Until now, wizards have depended solely on their cores for power. After this realm, they would have power regardless of their core. Their power comes from 'themselves' and not a core. It is very complicated, involving a 'self' power, but it doesn't involve the soul. Wizards of this realm become much more dependent on their physical bodies. They have much stronger physical bodies than soul transformation cultivators of the same realm. The big difference is that cultivators ' bodies are dispensable, but wizards would die if their bodies died. Wizards at the peak of this realm are as strong as the initial stages of soul transformation.

The final wizard realm, the 9th rank, is called the detachment realm. Wizards of this realm can finally change their bodies easily. Their sense of 'self' is no longer in their body but in their existence as a whole. They can exist even if their body and soul die. Killing detachment wizards is much harder than killing perfection cultivators. Even though in pure power, wizards are weaker, they are much harder to kill. Even the strongest detachment wizard is as strong as the initial stages of perfection. In terms of survivability, however, they are much superior. It is doubtful anyone could kill them, aside from rank 10s and higher. The biggest downside is that the success rate of reaching the detachment realm is at least a hundred times lower than the perfection realm. Even after countless years, extremely few people ever managed to reach detachment.

Wizard supernatural training had completely avoided the soul, but Tlod changed everything. He pioneered modern soul cultivation and increased the possibility of people reaching the 9th rank hundreds of times. It can be said that he is the reason that nowadays there are so many 9th-rank existences.
