The start of hell-N

It was dark, so dark that i couldn't even see my hands, i tried to grab my phone but my hand grabbed nothing. I tried to get up but something prevented me from doing that.

My nose caught a putrid smell as something hot fell in my forehead. The liquid slid into my mouth, it tastes like iron.

I only now realized that i couldn't fell my legs and something was weighing on my entire body.

My mind ran wild and i started panicking and then...

I woke up.

I was greeted by the rattling sound of the train and an uncomfortable feeling on my legs. When i looked down i saw a blonde girl sleeping soundly on my lap with a stupid expression on her face.

Her name is Sophia, a german girl that has been living in Japan since she was eight. I've known her for a long time and she grew attached to me because i'm her only female friend. When i looked to my left i saw Haruto, a tall brown haired boy with an athletic body and brown eyes, sleeping on the train seat in a really weird and uncomfortable position. I could only think that he was trying to imitate a crab in his dream. To my right i found Touji reading a book...no, actually he was sleeping with his eyes open. His looks are pretty average, black hair and eyes and a pair of red glasses.

We were coming back from a school trip an we all agreed to stay the night in Haruto's house, but it seems we all fell asleep.

I took out my phone to look at the hour but it was dead. Maybe i should buy a wristwatch...or maybe not, too expensive, it would be better to look for one in the school lost and found.

There was almost no one else in the train and it was too dark outside, so we probably missed our stop. Well i don't really need to worry about getting scolded by my parents but Hauto and Sophia will have to endure their parents nagging.

Seeing Sophia disheveled hair i took it upon myself to make her look presentable. I took a brush out of her bag and started brushing trying not to wake her up, once that was done i tied it up in a ponytail like she usually does.

She opened her eyes for a moment before falling back to sleep. Their color was a hypnotizing sky blue which could captivate almost anyone.

I extended my hand to take Touji's book, remove his glasses and gave him a slight push to make him lay down on the seat. Fortunately he is a deep sleeper so doing that wasn't a problem. I would try to help Haruto accommodate a little but i couldn't do it without waking Sophia.

We already missed our stop so there's no point in waking them up now. Let's just keep sleeping for now

[Next stop ************* station!]

I was woke up by the announcer voice. When i looked around something felt off, there wasn't anyone which wasn't too surprising, but the train looked...older, there was rust everywhere and a thin layer of dust covered everything.

My instincts were screaming danger so i immediately woke up everyone.

"Five more minutes Nayuta-chan..."

Sophia said my name while refusing to wake up. For a moment i looked at my reflection in the window. Long black hair in a wolf cut, dark red eyes and pale skin that looked really unhealthy.

"Sorry but no, you need to wake up now"

I pinched her nose to force her awake.

She looked angry for a moment but calmed down quickly after looking at her surroundings, she was confused.

"I don't know what's happening but pĺease wake up Haruto"

While she was at that i went to Touji but to my surprise he was already awake and looking at his surroundings while still laying down.

He has always been the cool headed and cautious type of guy. Even though he is a little antipathetic he stays alert most of the time because he worries too much about his friends.

The only exception is when he sleeps.

"Touji"

"Glasses, now"

Before i could say anything he asked me for his glasses so i quickly handed them over.

Touji put away his book in his backpack and took out a flashlight and a small knife.

He handed me the flashlight.

"This seems dangerous doesn't it?"

I asked before glancing at Haruto who was woken up by Sophia. He looks just as confused as she did.

"Certainly, this isn't normal"

At that moment the train stopped suddenly almost causing me to trip. The doors opened and revealed an antique looking station.

The station was in the middle of the woods and the only man made structures were the station, the train and a small path which leads to some unknown location.

"What's happening?"

Haruto approached us. He had a baseball bat in his hands, to his side was Sophia who looked oblivious to the possible dangerous situation.

"We don't know..."

Touji suddenly pointed his knife at the door to another wagon. He looked composed but there was cold sweat in his face.

"There is something in there"

Only once he said that i was able to hear a weird sound. It was moaning.

Like the whimpers of a dying animal, but more human.

Haruto pushed me back while he stepped in front with his bat ready. He was cheerful and always happy but got into fights pretty frequently, he knew how to detect danger just as good as Touji if not better.

It was too dark to see what was at the other side, so i turned on the flashlight and pointed it towards the door window.

There was a corpse looking at us. Chewing on an eyeball.
