After that eventful evening, Isabelle was quite busy the next couple days, running to and fro across the city and the outlying lands.
That morning in particular she went to check up on a few issues regarding infrastructure. The slums, which had been burned down, were not the only infrastructure concerns.
Other neighborhoods needed assistance as well, especially as many had been displaced due to the fires.
So much damage was caused not only by the fires themselves but the negligence of the palace in the lull between her mother's death and her coronation, that much of the slums had been rendered either unlivable or extremely poor in its livability.
The plague had compounded matters.
That said, most of the area with issues that weren't directly caused by the fire were outside of the capital proper, where people had begun attempting to build makeshift shelters with the wood outside the city walls.
