Snowball struck when Lyov least expected it. His little white paw arched through the air, and struck the card Lyov was right in the middle of playing.
The card flew right out from Lyov's fingers, spinning through the air. It hit the wall and landed upside down on the table.
"Ah?! Snowball!" Lyov gasped, and then sighed. "Why is it always my cards??"
Snowball squeaked at him.
Lyov sighed and scooped up the kitten in one hand.
She chuckled quietly, petting her beloved fuzzy little fluff ball.
He patted her fluffy boy's head a few times. "You are trouble..." He told the tiny kitten fondly, shaking his head. "Trouble indeed."
Snowball seemed unperturbed. Instead, he leaned in and began to chew on one of the cards Lyov still had.
She watched with amusement as Lyov's eyebrows shot up as high as humanly possible.
