Chapter 5: Unkown Enemy

"That is not good, Anne. You should not have gone to that extent. Anyway, do you still feel the pain? You mentioned…..,"

"Menstrual cramps. I lied about feeling any discomfort. I just wanted to tie you up so you wouldn't go back to her," she mumbled.

"I never said that. I will not fall into your trap ever again. I'll be departing for somewhere, so don't assume I'm going back to her. Whatever you believe, I'll give you the complete facts you requested," Valentino stated, and Shayanne rolled her eyes in frustration.

"Whatever, I am starving. Do you have any food in the house," she inquired in answer, prompting Valentino to rise and murmur before leaving, "Sort it out yourself, I'm off," 

Shayanne fell flat on the bed and closed her eyes, blushing with embarrassment as she remembered what had transpired with Valentino and her earlier.

"I'm going insane, I shouldn't have interfered in his personal life," she mumbled, muttering.

"You cannot choose her as your breeder, Master. Someone else may be better…,"

Grayson's eyes widened at her, revealing how enraged he was saying that. Why the hell did she start making decisions for him?

"You may be my chosen Luna, but you have no right to make my decisions. You're dismiss, "But, Master. I assumed you needed me…," Debra's comments were cut short by his steely stare. She bowed in shame and departed.

"I have to get pregnant before that bitch," she reasoned. A minute later, Thiem strolled in, "You called me, Alpha,"

"Yes, I want you to start providing my property with the necessities it requires because she is my breeder. Carl picks up her scent," Grayson said making Thiem surprised.

"Alpha, don't you think it's risky to choose a human as your breeder? She doesn't even know what you are yet," he whispered in concern, "I know; but, I'll tell her when the time comes. It doesn't matter anyway," Grayson replied coldly, and Thiem simply nodded.

"Okay, I'll assign some slaves to accomplish it. I can also guide her," Grayson signals to him to depart by nodding his head.

"What if she doesn't bear me a child?" That's what concerns him a little.

Sunshine looked so worn out that she fell asleep on her carriage as soon as she entered her mansion. Suddenly, two children ran to embrace her, saying, "Mommy, you're back, but why is Daddy not with you?" Isabella eagerly enquired.

"Daddy moved on and doesn't want 'us' back. He's really in love with her, "Didn't you say Daddy loves you, Mother? He doesn't love her, so he'll come back to you for sure. Maybe he intended to make you long for him so he would return," Isaac, Isabella's twin, turned to face their mother and begged her not to be depressed.

"Back then, your father loved me, but I didn't return the favor. While we were young, I never felt ready to start a family. He begged me fervently, and I could see that he was sincere. However, I deceived him; I betrayed his affection for me. With tears in her eyes, Sunshine mumbled, "I should have realized my love for him sooner,"

She doesn't want to cry in front of her two children, her confidante, and Valentino, the only thing that has brought her joy since he passed away.

"Please don't worry, Mommy. Daddy's coming back to us," Isaac comforted her, saying, "We should be strong enough to see him," and the two of them put their heads on her bosom.

Sunshine gave their little body an embrace. She would stop at nothing to ensure her two children saw their father, since she had to be strong for them.

Shayanne was found sitting outdoors in the pouring rain, looking quite lost. Valentino had been on her thoughts a lot. How is he acting? Why hasn't he returned yet?

All attendants were instructed to cease work, but Shayanne kept herself busy by cultivating some flowers in a little area. She then let the rain shower down on it while continuing to stare at nothing in particular.

"Why am I yearning for him?" 

"Because you're missing his company," her conscious said to her, but she ignored it as she continued to consider Valentino, most likely with the unidentified woman.

"He's having more fun in her company than I am, so I shouldn't worry about his wellbeing. He's all right, isn't he?" She spoke loudly in a whisper, addressing no one directly.

She was clearly lost, "Why are you out here, Anne?" In the middle of her trauma, she heard the most beautiful voice she had longed to hear. She really wanted to respond to him in a kind way, but she ignored her desires and allowed her rage to take over.

"Anne, are you feeling sick already?" With concern, Valentino walked up to her and placed his jacket over her chest. However, Shayanne stepped back two feet and faced him.

"Anne, put this on," she ignored his troubled expression as she continued to think about the unidentified woman. He tried to put his jacket on her and said, "You'll catch a cold, it's raining a lot outside," but she retreated even further.

"I'm not getting sick, and I'm not interested in it," Valentino's eyes widened in astonishment as she mumbled, "Moreso, it shouldn't concern you, "Of course, your health matters to me.Tell me what's wrong, please. We'll resolve it,"

"Do you prefer her company over our time together? I genuinely need your honesty…"

"I was never with her, just to clarify in response to your inquiry. I never wanted to leave you; I always feel at ease when I'm with you. But I had to go take care of a very urgent matter. Since the day you realized we knew each other, why have you been thinking about her all the time?"

"Because she was much more familiar with you than I am," she muttered, "I was never with her. However, I want you to know that you worry about my safety constantly and that you understand me much better than she does. I must say, I'm lucky to have you as a partner," He muttered.

Happy moments were in the air as they both fell silent, unsure of what to say. Suddenly, he remarked, "You're catching a cold, should I give you a piggyback?"

With a questioning expression on her face, Shayanne said, "Piggyback? I've never had that experience before. You were very stressed out, so I don't believe that's really necessary,"

Valentino firmly responded, "I wouldn't take no for an answer," and Shayanne gave in by fiercely biting her lip. Valentino threw his arms around her right away, causing her to gasp, "Valentino? Put me down; someone could be observing,"

"Ignore the people who are critical of you. I haven't done this in such a long time, and I'm really missing it. Please try not to create too much noise," Shayanne nods, waiting to see what would happen.

She felt her entire body in a short while, dancing wildly in the air. Shayanne was dancing to the beat as Valentino continued to circle around in an erratic manner. His legs smoothly glided on the grainy sand without causing him to lose his balance. 

"Valentino, I believe I'm at home now. Roll faster, I'm flying," She cried, "As your ladyship desires," Valentino quickly rolled over and returned a giggle. Her feet dive down a little way into the rain, tossing about with enthusiasm.

"Valentino, halt; I believe we are going to tumble. The earth revolves around us," Shayanne said hysterically, visualizing herself in paradise. Unaware of it, Debra had been observing the scene the entire time.
