Eve's eyes widened at my words – they all seemed surreal to her…
"You have powers?" Eve asked and I gave a small nod.
"It's quite stressful being a hero, I tried it out on Saturday," I replied while getting up, stretching my joints a bit.
Eve chuckled a bit.
"Nobody said being a hero was easy," Eve said, "But what kind of powers do you have?"
"Superstrength and Flight," I replied quickly, unwilling to divulge all of my powers to her.
"Oh, let's meet outside after school today," Eve said, "We can go on a little bit of flying while searching for crimes,"
"That'll be nice," I said, "Hope your boyfriend won't mind me having his girlfriend all to myself in the sky,"
The Brown haired beauty stood up from her bench and laughed.
"He won't mind it," Eve said.
Before we could continue talking, a bell rung and my face turned pale – It was damn first period and I wasn't in class yet… Shit.
"I'll leave you to that," Eve said with a small smile, "See ya,"
She jumped off the roof and I immediately looked over, watching her fly away – sticking close to the ground.
"Damn women," I complained under my breath while carrying my textbooks again, "It's because of her… I would have been in class already,"
#####
I gave a small sigh of exasperation while sitting down next to Madison in the Cafeteria – classes were… something else today.
"We aren't even halfway done with the school day and the instructors already gave us three assignments," I complained to Madison, "Alongside the stuff I missed from last week, it's almost like they're trying to kill me,"
Madison waved me off, her cheeks puffed cutely as she stared me in the eyes, I raised an eyebrow.
"What did you talk about with Eve?" Madison asked, jealousy evident in her tone, "It seemed awfully important,"
I took a bite out of my burger and smirked.
"Are you jealous?" I asked playfully.
"Of course I am," Madison replied, "You've been gone for a week Peter, I finally see you alive and well after a week and then you go off with Eve,"
"Well, we didn't talk about much," I said with a shrug, "I was flirting I guess,"
"Flirting? When did you grow so bold Peter?" Madison asked with a surprised gasp.
"I guess I grew a few inches," I replied and stuffed my mouth full of the burger once again, "But seriously, I'm starting to hate school,"
"It's already final year, don't worry, after we graduate – you can work your dream job at Burger Mart," Madison said while taking a bite of her own lunch, "I'm sure they'll be glad to have someone as talented as you,"
"I'm definitely sure that they need you more," I shot back, "You could be a Cheerleader or something,"
"Are you guys seriously arguing over lunch?" Eve asked, I raised my head up and looked at her, standing with a tray in hand, "Can I sit here?"
"Of course you can," Madison replied, "It's a free country,"
Eve nodded thankfully and set down her tray, as soon as Eve took a seat with us – tension flooded the air around us, Madison's gaze was solely on Eve… it was a bit uncomfortable.
"How was Physics class?" Eve asked a question, that single question succeeded in easing up the tension that had been building up.
"Horrible,"
"Entertaining,"
I turned to Madison…
"Physics was entertaining? I didn't even succeed in understanding half the equations," I said.
"Then you're too dumb to get it, cause I understood it easily," Madison shot back while stretching out her tongue.
I looked back at Eve and saw her laughing at the predicament.
"I think Physics was entertaining as well," Eve said, "The equations were simplified, weren't they?"
"Exactly," Madison said, "And Peter said he didn't understand… he's a dummy,"
Physics was never my strong-suit, I was an average student in that subject and I didn't plan on forcing myself to understand the complex equations that revolved around the subject… Physics can go fuck itself.
"Well, at least I'm a good Biology student," I said with a prideful grin, Biology was where the pride was at.
Our conversation continued with a lot of jabs being thrown my way but it was enjoyable in the least, almost made us feel like a group of friends – that is, if we weren't already.
Lunch was soon over and the rest of the school day continued, they hadn't given us any more assignments but I was still lagging behind in the classes… my main focus was soaring through the air once again.
The closing bell rung, pushing me out of my thoughts. I silently observed the instructor put down his textbook which he had been using to explain a little bit about history to the class and leave the classroom, prompting me to hurry out of my seat, hanging my backpack over my shoulder.
"Peter, wait up! We're supposed to walk home together,"
A lot of students had already started leaving the history classroom, I looked over my shoulder and turned to Madison – I felt a little bad for leaving her to go home alone but it was either walking home with her or soaring through the air with a Superhero hottie and I have made my decision!
"I have something important to do Madison," I said, "We won't be able to walk home together today, I'll see you later,"
Madison sighed dejectedly, her eyes widening as I made my way past the other students hurriedly and arriving outside. I was welcomed by Eve's beautiful curvy figure, waving at me.
"Took your sweet time," Eve said, "Let's go – I wonder how your Supersuit looks,"
I chuckled nervously as we walked away from the School.
"Well I don't have a Supersuit yet," I said.
Eve raised an eyebrow but nevertheless she continued walking.
"Then what do you wear?" She asked, her voice carrying an unmistakable hint of curiosity.
