I'm really in the Doraemon!?

[Note: The system will make its appearance in Chapter 10.] As an average individual, I never imagined that the cliché trope of a truck, often seen in otaku culture, would be the means to transport me into a parallel universe. Initially, I believed that my new surroundings were merely another version of reality, a parallel world. However, much to my surprise, I found myself in the universe of Doraemon—a beloved anime and comic from my previous life. (Note: There will be some difference in novel's timeline and the canon, to have a stable pace. Due to the canon have inconsistent timeline in every episode since it's a kids comics and it almost have the same pace as Detective Conan.) (Read advance chapters in Patreon.com/NewComer714.)

----

In Ken's room, as the lively party came to an end, our dear friend Ken found himself in solitude. With a heart full of curiosity, he stood in his room, a twinkle of hope in his eyes, ready to put his hunch about the dokodemo door to the test.

Ken's eyes lit up with realization. Could this wondrous Dokodemo Door truly transport me to that parallel world I once ventured into?

The thought bubbled up within him, filling him with a mix of excitement and melancholy. So, in theory, could I journey back to my own world, given that it's a parallel existence?

Giddy with anticipation, he reached for the doorknob of the Dokodemo Door, his fingers tingling with a blend of hope and trepidation.

As he turned the knob, thoughts of his past world danced in his mind. He expected to step into the comforting embrace of his own house...

But what met his eyes was far from his expectations. The room, which in his memories was tidy and bright, now lay in ruins. Cobwebs adorned the corners like delicate lace, and a plump rat had made itself at home in the shadows.

Perplexed, Ken's mind raced. Is this truly the room of my yesteryears? His gaze lingered on the decrepit surroundings, a bittersweet ache tugging at his heart.

Though it seemed unrecognizable, a familiar warmth emanated from the remnants of his once-beloved space. With hesitant steps, he crossed the threshold, and the floor let out a mournful creak, as if echoing the passage of time.

A single thought echoed in his mind: What could have transpired to bring my cherished abode to this state?

Joyful memories collided with the stark reality before him. The room he stood in, while a shadow of its former self, still resonated with a hint of the past, a poignant reminder of the life that once flourished within these walls.

I searched diligently for my portrait, which was supposed to be beside his bed, but my efforts yielded nothing.

As my gaze swept across the room, memories of my parents and the life I once lived flooded my mind, causing tears to well up uncontrollably.

Within my family, there were many of us - four brothers and three sisters. While they had their own lives, it was my elder brother who shouldered the responsibility of caring for our parents, while I lived independently.

Exiting the previous life's room after I fully explored it, I returned to my current room. With thoughts of my parents weighing heavily on my mind, I reopened the dokodemo door.

The door swung open, instantly transporting me to the presence of my current parents, huddled together as they watched something on the flat-screen TV.

Reacting swiftly, I closed the dokodemo door with a sense of urgency. Clearly, a specific approach was required.

Contemplating the memory of my previous life's parents, I summoned the courage to open the door once more. Instantly, I found myself transported back to the world of my former existence.

As the door creaked open, a wave of anxiety washed over me. I wondered how my parents had fared and felt a surge of trepidation about what their fate might be. Had they passed away or continued living a normal life after my departure?

With a mix of anticipation and apprehension, I hesitated at the open doorway. Eventually, I mustered the resolve to step through, and to my relief, I materialized in the familiar living room of my elder brother from my previous life.

A rush of familiarity overcame me as I gazed around the room. It seemed that my parents were indeed doing well.

Surveying the scene, I noticed my parents were now elderly, engrossed in watching a cartoon on the expansive flat-screen TV, surrounded by five children.

"Grandma, look! Doraemon will definitely save them!" one of the children exclaimed excitedly, pointing at the TV screen, which depicted the round figure of Doraemon in a struggle to rescue the young Nobita, whose adult counterpart's consciousness had taken over his younger self.

"Oh no, Nobita is in trouble!" the elderly woman exclaimed, her expression kind and concerned.

A girl shook her head in disbelief, anger evident in her voice. "Those three adults are ganging up on a child?"

"Yeah, they're being unfair!" chimed in an elderly man, sharing the sentiment.

...

Amidst this poignant scene, a smile of relief spread across my face, accompanied by a single tear that seemed to fall unnoticed.

A young boy, about six years old, suddenly seemed to sense a presence behind him. He turned his head and caught sight of me, still visible through the dokodemo door within my current room.

For a moment, I was oblivious to the boy's reaction. Then, his eyes widened in astonishment and excitement. "Grandma, Grandpa, look! There's a dokodemo door with a guy inside!"

Upon hearing the boy's exclamation, the other children also turned their heads and saw me.

Swiftly realizing the situation, I hurriedly closed the door, though one of the children attempted to reach it before it vanished, to no avail.

The kindly elderly couple, seemingly unaware of the supernatural encounter, remained focused on watching "Doraemon: Stand by Me 2," guided by their grandchildren's insistence.

Just as they turned to look at the boy who had darted toward the door, the dokodemo door vanished from sight.

"Oh no, it's gone!" the boy exclaimed sadly, his momentary joy replaced by a sense of loss.

"Don't worry, dear. Let's watch Doraemon," the grandmother comforted, but the boy continued to sob, refusing to be consoled. The other children who had also glimpsed the door and the figure inside shared in the frustration and sorrow.

...

With a sigh of relief, I acknowledged the close call. I had narrowly avoided being discovered. More importantly, I was reassured that my previous life's parents were leading content lives.

As the dokodemo door to my past life's world closed behind me, I felt a weight lifted. It was time to let go of the past and fully embrace the life I had in the present. My focus should be on enjoying the present and making the most of this new opportunity, far more fulfilling than the monotony of my former existence.

My past was just that – the past. I had already left that life behind, and now I had a fresh start with a circle of friends who genuinely cared for me, even if they had originally been mere cartoon characters. Moreover, my current parents were there for me, offering genuine care and affection.

With newfound determination, I set my sights on a goal: within a week, I would copy Doraemon's time tunnel and time machine on Nobita's desk.

The path was clear, and whether the system offered random duplication or choices, I was ready. With three copycat slots available, the weeks ahead held promise and potential.
