Why Me?

When Nathan first came to, he had been incredibly confused to hear a familiar voice that definitely shouldn't have been there. Even more so when he was able to process what it was saying. 

Sierra couldn't be here, let alone telling him she loved him. He had to be dreaming!

But he wasn't. She was there when he opened his eyes and chewed him out for being reckless the way she always did. 

He didn't know what to think about any of this but his confusion got so much worse after she kissed him. Twice. He hadn't been kissed in years and, even though they were only pecks, his heart went wild. 

No. As much as Nathan might want this, finding out she returned his feelings didn't change anything. He was still a monster and needed to make up for that in any way he could. Giving up his power and having a normal life wasn't possible for him so he couldn't get involved with anyone. Especially someone he loved.
