When Audra's mum dies, she goes back home, even knowing she would finally have to face his first love, Chris – who’s also his foster brother. After what appears to have been a pretty painful breakup, they’ve been avoiding each other over the past 11 years. But will the pain of the loss bring them back together? *Audra's POV, Past*
As I walked closer to the three of them, Chris seemed to feel my presence and his face turned to where I was.
His eyes lit up with a smile as he saw me coming. However, Stacie was so busy with herself that she didn't notice me until I came next to Chris, who was quick to snake his arm to hold me sideways and give me a quick peck.
"Oh, you…" She muttered, a mix of disappointment and disgust.
And although she had already let go of Chris' arm, she was still too close for our comfort. Well, she would be too close for my comfort even if she was on the other side of the school.
"Hi, Kyle!" I said looking past Chris' shoulder to smile at Kyle. "Look who I brought today" I turned to point to Claire as she was almost hiding.
She waved shyly, avoiding looking at Kyle.
"Hi Claire, I'm really happy you came!" Kyle immediately said.
