Going Back Home Part 2

BOOM!

A sudden blast came in the carriage where Erella and Max were. The carriage was burst into splinter. Then Max flew to the bushes while Erella was just standing where the carriage was before and emitting strong mana. Everyone was astounded while looking at the little girl who destroyed the carriage. They already heard about how strong Erella was but, experiencing it firsthand was really unbelievable! The monsters who were fighting the knight stopped for a moment. They greatly felt intimidated at Erella's exuding power. The monsters kept on looking at one another with fear in their faces, then decided to back down and retreat. Max's groan made Erella return to a normal state. Afterward, she ran towards Max and checked if he was alright.

"MAX!? Are you alright? Where did you get hurt? I'm really sorry Max! I can't still control my powers." She said apologetically while worrying about him. Max warmly smiled at her. The knights who were with the young duke for a long time were dumbfounded. That was the first time they saw their master smile warmly.

" Don't worry, I'm alright. I immediately covered myself with my mana when I felt your power coming out."Max explained.

"How about you? Are you alright?"Max added worriedly. Then it was his time to check Erella. While he was checking her, Erella noticed his left wrist was bleeding.

"MAX STOP!" Erella cried out suddenly. Then she felt dejected.

"You are not ok Max. You are bleeding!" Erella exclaimed. Then she took her handkerchief out and wrapped it to Max's wrist.

"Don't worry Erella, this is nothing. It's just a small wound."Max reassured her. Erella still didn't feel good about what happened to Max. She still felt guilty. The people in the von Heinlein duchy would protect Max to the cost of their life just to make sure he will not get even just a scratch on his body. Then because of her, he got a wound on his wrist.

"Don't say it's nothi------------- Erella suddenly stopped what she was about to say when she realized something. She nervously looked at the knights. Her face turned pale when she saw how serious their faces were and they were coming their way.

'OH EM GEE! I'M DEAD!' Her inner voice screamed! She was about to apologize to the knights but they suddenly held her small hands and looked at her admiringly.

"Milady! You are really amazing!"

"Our lord is really lucky to have you!"

"Surely, Von Heinlein Duchy will be invincible in the future!"

"Don't worry about our young duke. It is just a small scratch! He will not die with that." The knights expressed their opinions at the same time with cheerful faces.

'Woah! Now it's just a small scratch but if I'm not loved by the Marchioness, for sure you will kill me!' Erella rolled her eyes then checked Max's wrist once again. But the knights' cheerful faces suddenly turned sour when they saw monsters coming back. Their small numbers before multiplied ten times. Erella who felt something was amiss, turned her head and looked in the direction where the knights were looking. Her eyes went wide. Monsters that looked like mutant animals were heading towards them.

The seven knights suddenly circled them into protection.

"Don't worry Milord and Milady we will protect you until the end!" They proclaimed.

"Thank you but I can fight too!" Erella said. Max second the motion. The low tier and middle tier monsters ran towards the knights while the stronger monsters went to Max. She was worried at first maybe someone will die in their group but her worries flew away when she saw how they kill the monsters in an instant. She nodded her head in satisfaction and concentrate on her battle too. She used her wind magic to slice the monsters approaching her. They kept on fighting for already ten minutes but the monsters were still not getting lesser. Erella was already getting annoyed because her nose was already getting stuffy with the smell of the monsters' blood. They smell like a rotten dead rat. She wanted to instantly annihilate the monsters, but she was worried that maybe she would include Max and the knights in her annihilation.

'Darn it! I really want to finish this! The odor is killing me!' She thought. Then she thought of killing the monsters the same thing as she killed the bandits in the forest. But then she shook her head, she didn't want her crush Max to see how frighteningly she will be if she will do that.

'GEEZ! It's already hard to make him fall in love with me because of this appearance. Then I will add some more reasons for him to not fall in love with me? No way howay!' She thought then decided to endure the smell while fighting. But her endurance failed when she saw Max was getting deceived by a human-like monster. Max let it go thinking it was a human. But when he let it go, it tried to kill him. That was what Erella saw. Her body instantly moved and all of a sudden she was already in front of them holding the human-like monster's hand that tried to kill Max. Max was stunned by her sudden appearance. Suddenly, the hand of the monster burst into pieces. The blood of the monster splattered on Max's face. But Max was not bothered by it, his stare was concentrated on her lovely ocean-like eyes that suddenly turned into crimson red eyes.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! MY HAND!" The human-like monster screamed in pain.

"How dare------------- It did not finish what it was saying because Erella slew it instantly. It took Erella only 20 seconds to kill all of the monsters within the vicinity. Then she looked around to check if there are still monsters. She saw them looking at her with terror in their eyes. Her angelic face turned evil when she smiled at them. The monsters panicked and tried to flee from the place but she didn't let them get away. She killed them all instantly. She didn't leave even one monster. Max and the knights were stupefied by what they saw. The knights could not believe that the little girl that looked like an angel killed the monsters mercilessly with her bare hands. She is really too powerful! They flinched when Erella looked at them.

"Captain, do you think she is still in her right mind? Do you think she will mistake us as a monster?" A burly knight whispered to their captain with fear in his eyes. The captain of the knight didn't answer him. Max who heard him, answered him.

"Don't worry. Erella will not kill us."Max reassured them confidently. After Max said it, Erella was already in front of them. The knights were scared except Max. Max saw how anxious Erella was looking at him. Her crimson eyes slowly returned to their original color, the ocean-like eyes. Then he could feel she was afraid that he will get scared of her. He took a deep breath and knelt one leg in front of her. He held her hands and said.

"You did a great job!" Max said smiling brightly at her. Erella's anxiousness flew instantly when she heard what Max said. Then she smiled back at him.

"Thank goodness you are fine."She said sighing a relief then close her eyes because she felt tired after killing the monsters. Max caught her immediately.

"Just sleep my princess," Max said.
