The Pitch-Black Door

"Dusknoir!"

Dusknoir angrily called out to the girl.

"Giggle, so you finally decided to let them go," the girl said with a smile.

Yuga, by now, had also noticed this mysteriously appearing girl. To be honest, she was extraordinarily beautiful, perhaps the most beautiful girl Yuga had seen in both of his lifetimes.

She appeared to be about seventeen or eighteen years old, dressed in a plain gray dress that couldn't hide her unique aura. Her long, light-purple hair flowed messily behind her, as if moved by an unseen wind.

However, her eyeballs were pale gray, devoid of any vitality. She hovered in the air, her feet not touching the ground, giving off an eerie vibe.

"Who are you?" Officer Jenny asked with a serious expression.

She had no illusions that this was just an ordinary girl. The girl seemed incredibly dangerous.

"Human? Hehe, really? Do I look like a human to you? Hehe, she said I look like a human, that's so nice, hehe..." The girl suddenly twisted her face into a distorted smile and began muttering to herself, her focus quite peculiar.

Yuga and Officer Jenny were baffled by the girl's response. What did she mean by "like a human"? Wasn't she a human herself?

"But, even if you praise me, those children still belong to me," the girl said, her expression suddenly turning menacing, her eyes fixed on Officer Jenny and the children behind her.

"What do you want with the children?" At this moment, Yuga, who had been quietly observing, spoke up.

"Oh my, there's another person here!" The girl seemed to have just noticed Yuga, and then her expression turned disdainful. "But you have a rather unpleasant smell about you."

Yuga guessed she was referring to the unknown power of the Grass-type Legendary Pokémon left on him. This vibrant energy didn't seem friendly to the eerie girl.

"Who are you, and what do you want with the children?" Officer Jenny asked again, raising her voice.

The girl's voice successfully grabbed the girl's attention, and she licked her lips, smiling as she responded, "What do I want? Well, I want to take them back to the Ghost World, of course!"

As the girl finished speaking, a pitch-black door appeared behind her, radiating dark energy. Swirling vortexes of energy spiraled within it. Even from a distance, Yuga could sense the terror emanating from that door.

"What is this?" Officer Jenny exclaimed, staring at the horrifying scene before her.

"It's probably the Gate to the Ghost World," Yuga said.

At this point, both Officer Jenny and Yuga were utterly puzzled. The children had been in Dusknoir's possession, but it seemed that Dusknoir didn't intend to send them to the Ghost World. Instead, it was this eerie girl. Furthermore, Dusknoir didn't appear to be allied with her.

But who was this girl? And why did she possess the ability to open the gateway to the Ghost World?

"Dusknoir!"

The moment the gateway to the Ghost World appeared, Dusknoir let out a loud cry and raised its fists, attacking the girl.

Seeing Dusknoir charging toward her with raised fists, the girl grew very angry. She said, "You keep interfering! If it weren't for you, I would have taken them back to the Ghost World long ago."

With that, the girl gently lifted her skirt, and a group of Gastly emerged from beneath it, grinning menacingly as they launched an attack on Dusknoir.

Yuga counted them; there were nearly twenty Gastly in total, and they were all quite powerful. In the blink of an eye, Dusknoir was overwhelmed.

Yuga finally grasped the situation. Dusknoir didn't want the children to go to the Ghost World, and it seemed that the girl was determined to take them there.

He turned to Officer Jenny and said, "Officer Jenny, take the children and retreat to a safe area."

Officer Jenny nodded and, with her Growlithe, led the children away from the chaotic scene.

Yuga then turned to Houndoom by his side and said, "Houndoom, let's help."

Houndoom nodded and swiftly shot forward, unleashing Dark Pulse that pushed the attacking Gastly away from Dusknoir.

"Do you also want to hinder me? Unforgivable!" The girl's voice was now filled with malice, far from the pleasant tone when she first appeared.

She once again lifted her gray dress, and this time, over a dozen Ghost-type Pokémon, all Mismagius, floated out from beneath it.

Yuga couldn't help but be astonished by the number of Pokémon she seemed to have hidden under her dress. Was it possible that she carried the entire Ghost World within it?

The Mismagius lunged at Houndoom, screaming as if they intended to tear him apart. Seeing that Houndoom was outnumbered, Yuga had no choice but to release Absol.

As Absol appeared, he leaped near Houndoom. Countless Psycho Cuts shot toward the encroaching Mismagius, like flying knives, aiming to stop their assault.

After undergoing meditation training, Absol had become increasingly proficient in using Psycho Cuts and Future Sight.

The Mismagius screeched, attempting to evade the incoming Psycho Cuts, abandoning their assault on Houndoom.

Although Houndoom's crisis was averted, Dusknoir once again found itself in a disadvantageous situation. Faced with numerous Gastly, it had no way to defend itself.

Yuga didn't want to see his ally defeated so easily. He released Florges, hoping for some assistance.

As Florges appeared, a Grassy Terrain instantly spread out. Then, Florges closed her eyes, spreading her arms. The green gem on her chest emitted a faint glow, causing countless verdant vines to grow from the grass field. They snaked toward the attacking Gastly.

This was a new ability Florges had gained after obtaining the green gem—a mastery of manipulating Grass-type energy in her grassy terrain.

The Gastly blinked and found themselves ensnared by the vines, struggling in vain to break free.

Liberated from the Gastly's assault, Dusknoir raised its flaming fists and fiercely pounded the Gastly down. In no time, over ten Gastly were defeated.

Meanwhile, on the other side, with Houndoom and Absol's combined effort, the Mismagius also lost their ability to fight.

"Damn you! How dare you…" The girl watched as her Ghost-type Pokémon were defeated. Her face darkened, and she nearly shouted at Yuga and Dusknoir.

"If you stop here, we can avoid further conflict. What do you say?" Yuga didn't want to provoke this dangerous girl any further and preferred to keep the peace.

Hearing Yuga's words, the girl suddenly calmed down. She waved her hand lightly, and the Gastly and Mismagius turned into wisps of black mist, returning beneath her dress.

"Avoid further conflict? You wish! You ruined my plans, so now you will all stay here!" The girl suddenly raised her head, her expression twisted.
