Chapter 6 - Cultivation

Sitting down on a cushion, Scarlett dreads another boring lesson. Opposite her sat Elle, who was already pulling of book from her space ring and giving it to Scarlett.

Yup Space ring.

Apparently all cultivators with the space element could make them.

'I should probably ask her for one'

She's pulled out of her thoughts as Elle starts talking.

"As your final lesson today we'll be going over cultivation. There are six stages of cultivation. The first is the reconstructing stage it has 5 levels and 3 sub levels."

'Finally an interesting topic'

"In the first stage, you will be cleansing your meridian paths. Basically getting rid of all your impurities and strengthening your vessel", she pauses to take a breathe.

"You don't need to know about the other stages until your about to advance to stage 2."

Standing up from her spot , faster than one could blink, she grabbed Scarlett off the floor. Teleporting, she moves them into a sealed room without an exit. Inside was a cushion on the floor and too many ceiling lights to count.

Putting down Scarlett, Elle teleports out of the room.

'Hmm? Did she just leave me here?'

Before she could get out of her shock, she hear Elle's voice echoing in the room.

"I'll only let you out once you officially step into the ranks of a cultivator. To do that you much sense the spirit energy in the air and bring it inside your body. Remember the first stage of cultivating is the absolute worst. When removing the impurities of your meridian path, the pain will be unbearable. You must grit your teeth and bear with it. DO NOT FAINT."

Silence.

"Wait….wait….haha….your real funny Elle. I don't want to start cultivating right now. I WANT TO SLEEPP." Scarlett says through gritted teeth, "and I read that children couldn't even sense spirit energy till there 7. So you expect me to stay here TILL IM 7!!!"

At this point Scarlett was yelling so loud that her voice was echoing off the walls.

"Work hard! I believe you can do it!" Rang out Elle's cold and stiff voice with a hint of humor.

"Tsk, she really left me hear. Ughhhh, I just want to sleep. Sigh, fine! The quicker I do this the faster I can go and sleep in my room!"

After motivating herself, Scarlett opened the book Elle had given her before the lesson. Laying on the floor she sits on the cushion, she brings her knees to her chest, cups her chubby cheeks in her hands and starts to read out loud.

"Beginners guide to cultivation. Sigh, page 1. To start on the path to cultivation one must first sense the spirit energy in the air. This process usually takes around 10 days so no need to feel down if you can't sense it right away."

'Yeah it usually takes 10 day for 7 year olds. I'M FREAKING FIVE....well maybe it should easier for me because my mentality isn't an actual five year old.'

"Next, once your able to sense the spirit energy, you need to bring it into your body. For beginners this process would take much longer than the first step. It will also be much more painful as your clearing the impurities from your body. Once you've brought the spirit energy through your meridian paths and below the naval, you'll store it in you dantian. After doing that 1 time you'll officially be in the reconstruction stage level 1(novice)."

'Well then, let's get started!'

Sitting cross legged and palms faced up on her knees, she empty's her mind like Elle had told her before.

She didn't sense anything in the surrounds for a couple of hours but she didn't give up. Her sleep was riding on being able to enter the ranks of cultivation!!!

She must succeed no matter how long it takes!

While Scarlett was inside the room, outside Elle was watching her threw a camera stone.

Even Elle herself new that cultivating at age 5 was pretty ridiculous. Maybe her little Miss could sense the spirit energy in the air but actually absorb it?

Simple wishful thinking.

In all honesty, Elle just wanted to test her theory about the identity of Scarlett's father.

She didn't know much about him and the things that she did were just whispers she heard.

1. He was from Orion, the central continent.

2. He was a holder of a rare elemental affinity, darkness.

In Orion resided the strong of the strong. It was said that children that were born there could cultivate at age 5. Technically speaking, if her Master really had a child with a man from Orion, then little Scarlett should be able to start her cultivation now.

But it had already been 9 days!

'Could she really do it?'
