Link.

Aiden.

His hands quickly left my neck as he opened his eyes wide in shock, taking heavy breaths. When my feet touched the ground as I struggled to catch my breath, he shook his head in denial, eyes still glowing above me.

He stared in disbelief.

For the first time since I met Bale, I saw emotions flickering in his eyes.

Those eyes that once only looked at me coldly and in disgust stared back me curiously and waryingly, battling uncertainty.

He feels it too.

Those emotions that I've been unable to explain, he feels them too.

I wanted to reach out to him, to ask him if this was some sort of disease or if it was the alcohol that was making me mad, but as I struggled to stand, he dashed out of the room through the other door, leaving me behind.
