Kira's POV
"Oh, you've created a new technique recently, but I can tell it doesn't suit your young body," declared Zeno, caressing his beard, but he suddenly raised his hand to block claws aimed at his throat.
"In this form, I can properly use the Rokushiki, so be careful," declared Kira in a voice that seemed maniacal.
His appearance no longer resembled that of an ordinary 5-year-old child. He had red skin with swollen veins that writhed under his skin like earthworms.
His eyes, now red, would give chills to any ordinary person.
"Fascinating, I can see there is clearly a world of difference between him before and after using this technique," observed Zeno, but he could not help but frown as he observed Kira's attack patterns.
"I see that this martial art gives you more brute force, but it doesn't really suit our way of fighting. Maybe later, you'll be able to combine it with our Zoldyck style, but not now," declared Zeno abruptly during their exchange of blows.
Zeno deflected all of Kira's attacks with minimal movement. He was like a slippery, elusive serpent from Kira's point of view.
...
"Damn it," I said, panting with fatigue after the training session.
I had underestimated the impact of "The Advance" on me, but I don't regret using it. It was necessary that I could use it in a fight sooner or later.
"This technique you used, I forbid you from using it except as a last resort," declared Zeno, approaching Kira's location with a bottle of water.
He had surely obtained it from a butler stationed nearby, and in appearance, Zeno had no injuries, but some parts of his clothes were damaged from the impact of my blows.
"Why?" I said, frowning.
"Your body is not ready to endure this technique. I can see that it has overly high physical demands," he declared, shaking his head, clearly frustrated.
"For now, it is harmful to you and prevents you from properly using our Zoldyck fighting style," explained Zeno before touching my shoulder, an action that slightly tensed me up, but I quickly calmed down.
If Zeno wanted to kill me, I would already be dead without understanding how.
"I can also feel that your heart is now beating too erratically compared to normal. This technique is dangerous," he finally said.
"Okay," I said, sighing with disappointment before drinking the water offered by Zeno.
I already knew that "The Advance" would be dangerous, but I had hoped that my abnormal Zoldyck body would allow me to overcome these flaws.
It seems I was wrong.
"Well, rest up, and training is over. We'll resume later since you also need to use the Zoldyck techniques against me," explained Zeno, calmly walking away.
"Wait, Grandfather," I said a little too quickly.
"What is it, Kira?" asked Zeno, turning slightly.
"I would like to have weights with me, preferably ones I can wear 24 hours a day," I requested, hoping to get something good.
I had wanted to wear weights for a long time, but I had decided to wait a bit. But after this training session, I changed my mind.
Recently, my physical training had stalled, and Killua continued to make progress. I didn't want to fall behind, and that was also the reason why I had developed "The Advance" from the Kengan universe.
Unfortunately, that option was out of the question for now, so I will focus on my basics first.
"Understood, I will find suitable weights that you can wear all the time without being hindered by them," said Zeno, nodding his head as if satisfied with my decision.
"I will send them to you after our evening training session, but don't overdo it with the training."
After saying these words, Zeno left like a ghost.
"He's not wrong, I have a lot of time ahead of me," I muttered, looking up at the blue afternoon sky.
...
"You finally came, I didn't believe it anymore," declared Milluki without taking his eyes off his screen.
"Sorry, I had training with Grandfather," I said, scratching the back of my head, slightly embarrassed by my tardiness.
"Take the books on the bed, those are the basics you need to know before we start our practice," he said, typing furiously on the keyboard.
"Okay, and thanks again," I said, taking the books scattered on Milluki's bed.
"You're welcome, and I'll remind you that it's not free, but a deal between us," he replied before gesturing for me to leave his room before grabbing some chips to put in his mouth.
I was too tired to play a video game with him, and I was proud of my winning record, so I left with about ten books under my arm.
"It's been a while, Kira," a familiar voice resounded behind me.
"Killua, it's been a while," I said with a gentle smile.
"Yes, Father informed me that you were undergoing 'special' training with Grandfather," he declared, making a teasing expression.
"Am I the target to be eliminated?" Killua questioned with a finger on his chin. He was clearly provoking me.
"No, bro, I just like feeling stronger after each challenge," I replied with a shrug.
"I see, can you pass me a few books? You seem overwhelmed," he said, taking a few books.
"Thanks, I'm taking all this to my room," I said, leading the way.
Along the way, I had a chance to discuss various subjects with Killua, such as whether Father had taught him anything other than the family's assassination techniques, or if there was any news about Nanika and Alluka.
Currently, Nanika's powers had been freshly discovered by the family, so everyone in the residence was a bit on edge.
"Father has isolated Alluka, I can't see her alone anymore," Killua expressed in a slightly depressed tone.
"I see, they preferred to postpone the problem," I said, frowning.
"What problem? Alluka is our kind little sister, Kira," Killua declared in a slightly aggressive tone.
Killua was clearly emotionally unstable due to the isolation of Alluka and Nanika, but to be frank, the confinement of Nanika was logical.
She was literally a bomb capable of decimating the entire Zoldyck family if she was not handled properly.
"Sorry, bro, for calling Alluka a problem. I misspoke. I meant that her power is dangerous if it's not controlled by her," I expressed as if I were unaware of Nanika's very nature.
As with Killua, Milluki, and Kalluto, I had an excellent relationship with Nanika and Alluka. But unfortunately, I had not reached the level of having the ability to order her around.
Anyway, it wasn't that important for me to be extremely close to Nanika. I literally had Gremmy's "The Visionary," so I was theoretically capable of being more powerful than her.
That's why I never really showed off around Nanika or got too close to her like Killua.
"We finally arrived, thanks for the help," I said, arranging the books next to those reserved for medicine.
"You'll thank me if you can postpone your studies and play with me today," Killua said, gesturing for me to come play outside.
I definitely can't refuse this guy anything; I should set some limits before he gets too spoiled.
"Just a few hours, after that I have to meet Grandfather again."
...
(Time skip of a few months)
"Happy birthday, bro!" Killua yelled on my bed.
Author's Note: I'm happy to receive comments and feedback, and please continue to support me in various ways.
I almost forget, Alluka and kalluto are gender female in this fanfic and yes officially kalluto is a guy and alluka is described several times as a guy by her family but in this fanfic they are girls
