Tournament Starts NOW!

This was just one of his skills that he was so proud of and Wisp Movement was his best move. What about the other skills that he let Arthur know? How devastating would Arthur be if he already surpassed all of Joseph's current skills? Being unranked doesn't matter, having less strength doesn't matter. Having the Will to surpass everything and everyone nothing else matters

"No physical power, no talent, slightly higher than average intellect ... nonetheless, it all pales in comparison to what really matters, the will to survive and adapt." A cold voice reminded Joseph what he had almost forgotten.

"Wills" really do determine how one's life would progress in this 6 Realms. Doing something that people would have to work hard for in years in just a single day. There are kinds of people are deserving of the titles monster and genius.

Still shocked on what Arthur had done, Joseph then tried to calm himself trying to think of possible things that he currently is better at Arthur. After thinking, the only thing that Joseph that managed to be better at Arthur at is knowledge, particularly in the 6 Realms.

"Seems like you might not even need any more pointers..." Joseph coldly told Arthur, he saw Arthur, not as an oblivious young kid but a peerless genius at his age that could even possibly rival the 4 Original Ancient Deities.

In the face of such an overwhelming Great Sage Ranker, Joseph didn't dare escape knowing that he couldn't fight back against Sir Marcus. But knowing that Arthur could handle himself he wasn't

Arthur was confused about Joseph's actions and words as he still doesn' t fully understand what he had done but had a faint idea on the topic.

"Even though you beat me near-death yesterday, I am grateful to you Sir Joseph for everything you have done for me." Arthur looks at Joseph respectfully.

They still have 12 more days until the tournament, Arthur then refined his techniques namely "Full Strike" and "Rock Hardening".

There were 7 days left until the tournament.

Arthur was mastering these techniques because they were different from "Wisp Movement". These were offensive, defensive and, support techniques, these are different from a movement skill which just needs one to understand to comprehend the technique.

Offensive and defensive techniques require comprehension and actual experience. Practical training is usually needed for one to fully understand the technique. While for support techniques it would require a person to do specific tasks and reach the required talent in order to understand it.

Arthur didn't have talent at all having only talent of 2. He instantly gave up on the Heal Technique knowing it was pointless.

"Even though you are a peerless genius, I still suggest focussing on one of these techniques as we don't have the luxury of time since you should have had at least understood the necessities for each technique," Joseph told Arthur.

"Choose one of them to focus huh? Well, I already have Wisp Movement which increases my speed so I guess I'll just focus on Full Strike instead of Rock Hardening." Arthur thinks on the better choice.

Arthur has since focused his full attention mastering the Full Strike Technique. At its full strength, it could increase the strength of the strike by thrice dealing fatal damage. Using his arms, he used Full Strike at the walls of the cell always making a clanking noise after he hit it.

There were 5 days left until the tournament.

Arthur's only focus was the Full Strike Technique thus the overall process of him understanding this technique was faster. He now fully understood this technique and is able to raise his attack by three times.

"At this point, I am not surprised anymore you already are a peerless genius enough to rival the 4 Original Ancient Deities with your Will." Joseph sighed.

Arthur then tried to master Rock Hardening Technique. Using his comprehension, he already understood the fundamental basics of the technique but the problem for him this time was that he couldn't raise it's ability as there were requirements for it to rise in strength.

Arthur then gave up on trying to master Rock Hardening Technique and instead focussed on Wisp Movement since he already has mastered Full Strike Technique. He already fully understood this technique but the problem for him was that he felt as if this technique was incomplete. He asked Joseph but the latter didn't know what was incomplete as Joseph already thought that Wisp Movement was already perfect.

In the following days, Arthur tried to understand what was missing in Wisp Movement.

There were 3 days left until the tournament.

An unexpected event occurred, Sir Marcus wanted to see everyone's potential first before the tournament begins. He did this because there might be some talents that he could take before they would be killed in the tournament. Everyone was tested one at a time to prevent the other participants to see the potential opponent's skills.

"Arthur, don't let them know that you have these techniques. The Silent Assassins Guild will forcefully take you and put a Slave Seal on you forcing you to work for them." Joseph warned Arthur.

Arthur nodded as he was called out in front of Sir Marcus, King Rhast and Mia Amir. Mia has a devious smile on her face as she was thinking of ways to kill Arthur right now. Mia then suggested something.

"I have an idea, Uncle Marcus! Why don't I test him myself? I am the person that's the closest to his age. Since you are scouting potential candidates it must be able to hold his own against me!" Mia exclaimed with a poisonous smile looking at Arthur. Arthur was expressionless, Mia did not know what Arthur learned while he was locked up, in fact, no normal person could have had expected that Arthur could have had grown this much in such a short time.

Mia landed on the arena with a smug look on her face. She rushed Arthur knowing that Arthur would be weak in hand to hand combat as his body strength was only a measly 40 while hers was 140.

"Remember Mia no weapons and you cannot use your Will." Sir Marcus reminded Mia about the restriction as if she had used any weapon or her Will alone she could kill the majority of people on a 1 v 1.

"Wind Dash"

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! Let's see you get out of this unharmed brat!" Mia used her skill Wind Dash and appeared in front of Arthur instantly.

Arthur's expression was still the same, unchanging while blocking the punch with his arms. He already knew about Mia's rotten attitude and had already reached the body strength of 230.

A loud thud could be heard from Mia's fist hitting Arthur's arms. Mia's face was full of content as she thought she broke his arms with her strength. But her expression soon changed when she looked at Arthur once again, there was no damage.

"HUH?! WAAAAIT WHAT?! How the bloody hell did you not get injured brat?" Mia's expression was sour.

Arthur did not respond but Sir Marcus did.

"Hmph! So what if that kid could block your attack Mia he could have had just been born with a strong body. It doesn't matter at all if he could block it." Sir Marcus' expression was solemn still radiating a dominant aura.

Mia couldn't argue against his uncle but knowing that Arthur only had a measly a body strength of 40 she was shocked at how he could have not been injured by her full punch backed up by her Wind Dash.

Mia kept on punching Arthur but compared to the beating he got from Joseph this was mere tickles to him. As Mia got exhausted, Sir Marcus called her to go back as he has concluded the youth's abilities.

"What are you so worried about? That kid couldn't do anything about your attacks! He just stood there taking all your hits meaning that although he has a strong body he is still inexperienced in fighting even scared to throw a single punch." Sir Marcus concluded his analysis. Mia didn't try to argue with her uncle as the latter had already made up his mind.

In the cold cell of Arthur and Joseph.

"Arthur, how did it go?" Joseph asked Arthur.

"I did well in hiding my techniques and Sir Marcus only thought of me as a mere ant not good enough to be recruited." A smile formed on Arthur's face as he said this. Joseph sighed with relief hearing the news.

When Joseph was called out, he faced three guards and he acted as if he couldn't handle them purposely fooling Sir Marcus to ignore him. Joseph's scheme worked as Sir Marcus didn't bat an eye at the old man but Mia, on the other hand, was furious. She knew how strong the old man was and how humiliated she was when she was forced to the ground helpless by the old man.

The events, later on, were uneventful except two times, it was when a man at his 30's impressed Sir Marcus by being an Adult Ranker and having a strength of 250 and soul of 160 and a female Infant Ranker died to a punch to the gut. Night slowly came as only a few days remained until the tournament.

The day of the tournament arrived.

The seats in the Colosseum of Guilt was filled to the brim with very loud voices waking up the majority of the contestants. There were two figures that seemed to be not bothered by these voices, it was the youth and old man.

"Seems like it is time, Sir Joseph" Arthur warmly told Joseph.

"Well, I have no worries about you passing but the only thing that worries me is that if we meet up in the tournament." Joseph worriedly told Arthur.

"Well if that's the case may the better man win. Regardless, thank you Sir Joseph for all you have done to help me in the world." Arthur bowed in front of Joseph.

"Shush now! Don't jinx us! Hahhahaha! Don't worry about it if that would happen we'll escape and try to run away!" Joseph calmed Arthur's mind by telling him this but in reality, it wouldn't happen and it would be a fight to the death.

As the 27 participants entered the arena, voices of loud cheerful cheers surrounded the arena. Arthur looked at Mia and she was looking poisonous as always when looking back at Arthur. Her smile made him uncomfortable as if she held Arthur's life at the palm of her hand.

The participants were grouped by Sir Marcus. At this point, Joseph and Arthur were fearful that they would be at the same group as Mia's smile frightened them. Instead, they sighed with relief as they were grouped differently from each other.

The reason why Mia was smiling was that she was now participating in this tournament and was at the very end of Arthur's group filling up a spot meaning that if Arthur and Mia were to meet it would be for the final battle. Arthur was not fazed at all knowing that he could now probably kill Mia with 50-60% chance with his skills alone but he still had his Will which counters Mia's Will increasing his chances of winning up to 80-85%.

"Welcome everyone! I would like to introduce our important guest, Sir Marcus! A Great Sage Ranker!" Applause filled the air and a faint smile could be seen on Sir Marcus' face.

"Now without further ado! LET THE TOURNAMENT BEGIN!" The cheers of the crowd were even louder than before.

The tournament is starting now but the face of the youth and old man did not change from start to end of the introduction. They have steeled their selves in order to survive. If Arthur needs to kill, he will kill but he will still try to avoid as much bloodshed as possible. In this instance, Arthur couldn't avoid killing someone.

A loud gong drowned the voices of the crowd.

"FIRST ROUND: REGRIS REAH VS. JOSEPH TAMPUS!"
