Chapter 50: Challenges (2)

Hermione blushed when she heard what Arthur said. But she didn't think to hesitate. She took a big breath and jumped down.

Arthur's arms remained open, and he instinctively gave Hermione a little bounce when he caught her in his embrace.

Then he said something that instantly broke through Hermione's defenses.

"Why does it feel like you're heavier this time?"

When Hermione heard this, she went crazy and hit Arthu in the chest. Even after Arthur put her down, she still tightened her grip on his arm.

Harry and Ron, watching from above, felt relieved seeing everyone was fine.

One by one, they jumped down as well.

Then they heard...

"Ouch!"

"Ouch!"

"Arthur, you caught Hermione, why didn't you catch us too?"

Harry and Ron looked at Arthur with resentment as they rubbed their back.

Even though the ground was covered with soft plants, jumping from that height still hurt.

Arthur looked at the two of them with a somewhat ridiculous expression.

"Are you'll Hermione?"

These words struck their hearts like a sharp arrow. They looked at Arthur, then at Hermione. With a shared understanding, they realized that both of them were not to be messed with.

Arthur just ignored them when he saw their stupid faces.

'How could a little girl like Hermione fall to the ground?'

"Lumos!"

Everyone used their wands to cast the Lumos spell, which lit up the space around them.

Hermione saw the plants on the ground and screamed in horror.

"Oh my goodness! These are Devil's Snare! They're not safe. We need to use fire..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Arthur snapped his fingers.

"Incendio"

After uttering the incantation, a ring of flames appeared beneath Arthur's feet and rapidly expanded.

The Devil's Snare pulled back all of its vines at once, leaving the three of them dumbfounded by the speed.

"Let's go, don't waste time here."

Arthur walked in the direction where the Devil's Snare had gone, which led to a wooden door.

Harry looked at Arthur with envy, wishing he could be as cool and handsome as him.

Harry didn't even know what spell Arthur had used, let alone that magic could be done without a wand.

In fact, it wasn't even a specific spell but rather precise control over fire.

The bunch of blue and white cards Arthur obtained from his gacha had advanced his proficiency in basic spells to an extraordinary level.

Arthur had simply made up a name earlier to show off.

Clearly, he had done a good job of showing off. Didn't you see how Hermione's eyes looked like little stars?

As they walked into the wooden house, they were shocked to see keys with wings flying around.

Harry's eyes lit up when he saw the flying brooms nearby.

"There are brooms over there! If only..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Arthur pointed his finger to the ground, and instantly a giant hand appeared, waving through the sky and grabbing a bunch of keys in its palm.

With another snap of his fingers, Arthur transformed the hand into a cage, securely trapping the keys inside.

"Go find the one with injured wings. If someone opened the door just now, that key's wings would definitely be different from the others."

When he said that, Arthur summoned a chair and sat on it.

Arthur couldn't stand those brooms just sitting there like nothing was wrong. It was like playing an escape room game and having someone slap the map onto your face.

Harry opened his mouth, realizing, "Well, at least I have some use. I can still find the keys."

Harry and Ron went up to look for the keys to help him feel more useful.

Meanwhile, Hermione was left by Arthur's side, sharing a chair with him.

While Harry and Ron searched for the keys desperately

When the two of them found a key with sky-blue wings and inserted it into the eye on the stone wall, a piercing and unpleasant sound followed, and the stone door opened.

As soon as the door opened, the key was thrown away and caught twice in a row, making it look tired.

The group walked through the stone door and entered a pitch-black hall.

Suddenly, the room was brightly lit, revealing an amazing view.

In front of them was a huge chessboard.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione turned pale.

The chess pieces on the board were gigantic, towering over them by more than twice their height.

The pieces in front of them were black, while the opposite side was white.

The white pieces had blank faces like the black pieces and the white chessboard, creating a creepy and strange atmosphere.

Several black pieces were missing, and it was clear that they were supposed to be chess pieces. They would move on to the next level if they beat the other side.

At this moment, a spirit of mockery burned within Arthur's heart.

'Do these level designs dare to be any more obvious?'

'The previous phase highlighted Harry's flying skills, and this stage was obviously designed for Ron. Is this the personalized favor of the wizarding world? Professor McGonagall, why not create a flying chessboard and let them play an intense and exciting game of Wizard's Chess?'
