Chapter 161: Aurors

Arthur gave Lupin a small nod to show that he understood.

Then he sat down next to Luna.

She was feeling better now and had wiped away the tears from her face, but she was still quite pale.

Arthur gave Luna the chocolate that Lupin had just given him.

The young witch obediently opened her mouth and took the chocolate, then smiled at Arthur.

Arthur knew that it would be best for Luna to rest and take a nap at this point, so he cast a sleeping spell on her.

In an instant, she fell asleep with her head on Arthur's shoulder and a tight grip on his hand.

The train had resumed its journey, but it wasn't long before it stopped again.

Arthur was getting frustrated with all these troubles on their way to school.

He decided that next semester, he would use the Apparate to directly transport the girls to Hogwarts and avoid all this trouble.

The compartment door suddenly burst open, and two wizards dressed in Auror robes stepped in.

The taller one was about to say something, but Arthur glared at him and instantly silenced him with a Silencing Charm.

The expressions of the two Aurors changed, and they pulled out their wands as they looked at Arthur.

Arthur motioned for Hermione to come over and gently leaned Luna against her before he and the Aurors left the compartment.

Arthur cast a protective shield to ensure that their conversation would not wake Luna before he spoke.

"Okay, you can speak now. What do you want to ask me?"

He sounded impatient.

The two Aurors felt somewhat dissatisfied but remembered Arthur's wandless and silent spell earlier.

They suppressed their anger and said, "The Ministry of Magic sent those Dementors to search for and capture Sirius Black. You just killed seven of them, which will make it hard for the Ministry to do its job."

Arthur sneered, "So, those Dementors were here to search, huh? I think they were here to eat."

"My friend was almost consumed by those Dementors. I expect an explanation from you."

The shorter Auror said mockingly.

"You killed Ministry's employees. Why should we give you any explanation?"

"Even if they were overreacting, you could have easily driven away those Dementors just by casting your Patronus Charm. Why did you have to kill them?"

The taller Death Eater questioned.

"Are you trying to teach me how to handle things?"

Arthur scoffed.

But before he could say more, Arthur continued, "Forget it. Your level is not enough, and I will just contact Minister Fudge myself."

"Who do you think you are, kid? Contacting Minister Fudge directly? Why not just say the Ministry is run by your family?"

The shorter Auror sneered, thinking this boy was delusional.

Arthur flashed a smile that was not quite a smile.

"My name is Arthur Gaunt, and I assure you the Ministry is not run by my family."

When the taller Auror heard Arthur's name, his face turned pale, and he asked anxiously, "Is that the same Arthur Gaunt who invented Alchemical Beings?"

Arthur nodded, and the Aurors forced a bitter smile. They had walked right into a trap.

Other wizards only knew that Arthur was famous, but they didn't fully understand his current standing in the magical world.

Many pure-blood families knew not to mess with Arthur for the sake of buying some of his Alchemical Beings.

They even tried to please him when necessary.

The Auror himself was from a pure-blood family and had discussed with others at home how to establish a connection with Arthur.

He didn't expect to run into him today.

He suppressed his frustration and forced a gentle smile.

"So it was Mr. Gaunt, then this must be a misunderstanding. We will have a talk with the Dementors about it."

Arthur shook his head. "There's no need. I said I would talk to Fudge myself. If you have nothing else, I'll be on my way."

And with that, he removed the barrier. A lot of young wizards had surrounded them, looking worriedly at Arthur.

Even Draco came over, shouting, "Arthur, are you alright? Don't worry, killing a few Dementors is no big deal. I'll have my father talk to the Ministry of Magic about it."

"Yeah!"

"If it weren't for Arthur, the Dementors would have attacked us!"

The other young wizards were also filled with excitement.

The two Aurors were bitter and smiled. Normally, the wizards they met were nervous, respectful, and fearful of them.

Today was the first time they'd been surrounded and attacked.

But since they were all Hogwarts students, one careless move could easily cause serious problems.

The tall wizard had to explain it to everyone.

"Don't misunderstand, we were just trying to get some information from Mr. Ganut. We know the responsibility lies with the Dementors."

"Don't worry, Mr. Gaunt not only won't have any trouble, but will also be commended by the Ministry of Magic."

After saying this, he saw that the young wizards had calmed down.

The tall Auror breathed a sigh of relief and quickly led his partner away using Apparition.

The young wizards cheered as if they had won a victory, and Arthur smiled at them.

The sight of everyone standing up for him had touched him.

Everyone returned to their seats in an orderly manner. Arthur returned to his compartment.

Luna was still sleeping soundly.

Hermione saw Arthur come in and gave him a questioning look.

Arthur assured her that everything was resolved and there was no need to worry.

Only then did Cho and Hermione relax.

When the two girls saw Arthur and the Aurors leave, they were very worried.

But now that Arthur said everything was fine, they felt relieved.

Arthur took out a piece of parchment and wrote something on it. After finishing, he instructed Furry to deliver the letter to Fudge.

"Deliver this letter to Fudge, and be a little arrogant."

Arthur whispered to Furry. He wasn't joking with the two Aurors earlier, he really intended to hold Fudge responsible.

Furry nodded and disappeared with the envelope.

After that, Arthur and the others remained silent since Luna was still asleep.

When the train arrived at the station, Arthur woke Luna up. Her nap had refreshed her, and her eyes regained their dreamy quality.

After a few people got off the train, Arthur released Celestia from his suitcase and went directly to the school in a carriage.

Arthur did not allow Luna to join the Sorting Ceremony.

Instead, Cho took her to the dormitory. Arthur went to Professor Flitwick's and asked for time off for Luna.

Meanwhile, Fudge hurriedly approached Dumbledore's office, ready to confront him.
