Chapter 4: The End of Summer

Jasmine walked out of Gringotts with a few more questions and hopeful that the flat in London would have some answers for her. But first, she really needed some new clothes, so she made her way back to the store she had visited before her meeting.

While walking into the store, Jasmine couldn't see the assistant who had helped her earlier, so she walked to the closet shop assistant.

"Hi, do you know where Sara is, please?" Jasmine asked.

"Ya give me a minute, and I will go tell her you are here," the shop assistant said.

Jasmine smiled at her as she looked around the shops and checked a few pairs of jeans.

"Ah, your back," A voice that Jasmine recognised as Sara came from behind her.

"Yep, my meeting is all done," Jasmine replied, turning around.

"So what are you looking for exactly?" Sara asked.

"Err, as much clothing as I can get for 60 Galleons," Jasmine said, not really sure what to do when it came to buying clothes.

"I guess you want complete outfits?" Sara asked.

"Yes, I need a whole new wardrobe," Jasmine admitted leaving out why she needed a new wardrobe.

"You won't be able to buy a new wardrobe for 60 Galleons," Sara warned.

"I forgot to get more money while at the bank," Jasmine said, laughing awkwardly.

"Well, it's more than enough to get clothing while at Hogwarts, as you only really need clothing for the weekends," Sara said before she started to pull out some jeans.

"Do you have anything jeans or skirts or dresses?" Sara asked.

"Err, no, but I haven't ever really worn a dress before," Jasmine admitted quietly.

"I see. How about these?" Sara asked, handing Jasmine 5 different jeans. Three of them were dark blue, almost black, whereas the other two were light blue.

"Err, can I try them on before I decide?"

"Ya, let me get some shirts and jackets, so you have complete outfits to try on.

Jasmine followed behind Sara as she went and pulled out five different shirts that thankfully looked quite plain before she had a total of five jackets.

"Are you sure we need so many jeans? I only have 60 Galleons after all, and I don't want to go back to the bank and wait in line," Jasmine said, guessing they were coming close to her limit.

"Hmm, maybe three pairs of jeans and two skirts, then?" Sara asked, looking down at the clothing.

"Yes, I also need some underwear as well," Jasmine said in a quieter voice.

"Okay, err, let's put one of the light and dark jeans back and swap them for skirts and get a dress as well and then there should be enough for some underwear.

Jasmine watched as she put the Jeans back and grabbed two knee-length skirts and a black dress before ushering her to the changing room.

"Here you go, try them out," Sara said as she placed the clothes down in the room before leaving.

Jasmine walked over to the clothing before splitting them into piles and grabbing the first one to try on.

Looking in the mirror, Jasmine had to admit these clothes fitted her far better than anything her Aunt had bought her.

Turning around, Jasmine walked outside to see Sara sitting across from the room.

Sara looked up as Jasmine walked out and gave her an appraising eye. Jasmine could feel herself blushing under her inspection. She hadn't realised how much her slightly baggy clothing had hidden her body. Now that she was wearing form-fitting clothing, she couldn't help but feel embarrassed yet somewhat confident.

"That looks great on you. Do you play Quidditch?" Sara asked.

"Err ya, how did you know?" Jasmine asked, slightly confused.

Sara looked to be around 21, so she wouldn't have friends at Hogwarts anymore.

"You have really well-toned legs and butt," Sara said with a mischievous smile.

Jasmine blushed even more at what Sara had just said. It wasn't something that she was too new to her. Lavender and Parvati had told her the same towards the end of the 1st year when they had seen her getting changed.

"Ya I play seeker

"Okay, let me just look at the other shirts first," Jasmine said, fast walking back into the changing room.

Jasmine quickly tried on the other shirts before folding them up and placing them with the jeans before she stripped back down and grabbed one of the skirts.

The skirts was made from reasonably heavy cotton that she was sure wouldn't blow around as she was wearing it, something that she would have to thank Sara for thinking of.

Jasmine looked in the mirror and felt that it was far better than the school skirt she usually wore daily during school. Looking over at the shirts, there was a warm-looking long-sleeved cotton shirt and a blue shirt.

Jasmine grabbed the warm-looking cotton shirt and pulled it on before looking in the mirror and nodding, thinking the Gryffindor red went well with the black shirt. She remembered that some older students had talked about the colour-changing charm that she thought could be worth learning.

Walking out of the room, Sara showed an enthusiastic smile as she looked over at Jasmine before nodding happily at the clothing that she had picked for Jasmine.

"Very good do you want to try the dress on now or get some underwear?" Sara asked.

Jasmine was glad that Sara had asked her that she hadn't given the Weasleys a time for when she would be back as she didn't know how long she would be at the bank sorting out her assets.

And she really wanted to check out the flat on her own, and thankfully it was only a ten-minute walk from the Leaky Cauldron. If she didn't do it today, she was sure she wouldn't have time to look at it before Hogwarts started, and she didn't want to wait till next summer break.

"Underwear, please," Jasmine said, turning around.

Jasmine walked back into the changing room and reluctantly changed back into her old clothing. Jasmine gathered up all her new clothing and walked outside to Sara.

"Right underwear?" Sara asked.

"Yes, please,"

"Right this way," Sara said, leading Jasmine to the far side of the store and through a door into a room just full of female underwear, everything from normal cotton ones all the way to underwear that made JAsmine blush just looking at them let alone wearing them.

Jasmine looked around and saw that there were three other girls in the room and two of them whom Jasmine recognised, and they had just turned around to see her.

"Jasmine?" Susan said, a little surprised.

"Hey Susan, Hannah," Jasmine said in greeting.

Jasmine hadn't made much of an effort to make many friends in Hogwarts due to her fame. It was hard for her to tell who actually wanted to be her friend and who was just trying to use her or be seen as her friend. Other than Ron and Hermione, Jasmine only greeted people while keeping her distance.

Her fame was one of many reasons that she hadn't made friends with many people. The other reason was that there was an invisible wall between all of the houses. It was tough to get to know other people from a different house unless you had family in that house.

Parvati was a good example; she had friends in Ravenclaw due to how her twin sister was in that house, and even in different houses, the twins still spent most of their free time together.

"You looking forward to the new year?" Susan asked, walking over to Jasmine, her hands full of bras, something that Jasmine wasn't shocked about. She had heard some boys talking about Susan's chest.

"Well, I guess I can leave you with your friends," Sara said, giving her a wave before leaving the room.

"You got any help for me? I have never bought a bra before," Jasmine said with a shy smile.

"Sure, these were what I had last year; they were quite comfy," Susan said, pointing to a row of bras.

"I would just get three or four. The house elves will clean them as you place them in your laundry basket, and you will most likely be buying more next summer anyway," Susan advised.

"Speaking from experience?" Jasmine asked.

"Yes, I am. I bought 12 or 13 last summer, and now im too big to use them, so they ended up a waste of money," Susan said, looking annoyed.

Jasmine had to admit that it was useful advice as she was a little worried about how she was going to afford 7 pairs with the 10 Galleons that she had left. But if she was only buying 4, then it would just fit in her leftover budget, and she still had a few Galleons at the Burrow in Sickles for buying sweets on the train.

Looking over, Jasmine grabbed 2 grey and 2 white soft-looking bras in her size before looking at Susan and Hannah.

"You both ready to pay?" Jasmine asked, seeing their hands were full of underwear as well.

"Ya, we can pay back here, which is a nice touch. I wouldn't want everyone in the store to see my underwear," Hannah said, with Susan nodding in support.

Jasmine had to agree that she would feel a little self-conscious about everyone seeing her underwear, especially if she had bought something from the other side of the room that was clearly only for a lover to see.

Jasmine followed Susan and Hannah to the back of the room where Sara was waiting next to the register, no doubt knowing that they would want to pay soon and that they wouldn't want to do so on the main floor.

"Are you free after this?" Susan asked.

"Err, I was going to check an old family property out why?" Jasmine asked.

"We are going to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour if you want to join us?" Susan offered.

"Ya, I guess I have time for some Ice Cream," Jasmine said.

Jasmine found that she had a sweet tooth, no doubt because she was never allowed anything like sweets and had to watch as her cousin scoffed his face with sweets and laughed at her because she was never allowed any.

"Great," Susan said with a smile, with Hannah giving her one as well.

Susan and Hannah went first, paying for all their clothes that were placed in a bag and then Jasmine paid for her, totalling 57 Galleons and 8 Sickles, the most she had spent on something that wasn't for school.

She wondered what her parents would have said about spending this much money on clothes for a moment. Before she realised that she hadn't really spent that much on clothes, she was just used to having no money, something she would have to get used to given the ridiculous amount she now had.

Jasmine took her bag from Sara before saying bye and thanking her for her help and left the store with Susan and Hannah and walked up the Alley.

The Alley was slightly busier now that it was a bit later in the day, with a few parents rushing around from store to store, no doubt for last-minute things before school started.

Jasmine followed them into the ice cream parlour, where there were what looked like 100s of different options of ice cream.

"What you getting?" Hannah asked as they looked over the options.

"Im going to get the treacle flavour," Jasmine said before asking the shopkeeper for three scoops of ice cream costing a total of 12 Sickles, getting rid of most of her leftover money.

Susan and Hannah picked their ice cream before they all sat down at a table. Jasmine took a spoonful of her ice cream as she wasn't sure what to talk about with Susan and Hannah.

"What did you get the points for at the end of last year?" Hannah asked.

"Hannah!" Susan said in a scolding tone.

"What you want to know as well. No one believes that stupid rumour that she beat the DADA teacher," Hannah said, rolling her eyes.

Jasmine felt awkward about the topic. She had only won the fight due to her mother's blood protection. It had nothing to do with her, and without it, she would have died, no doubt, slowly and painfully.

Not to mention it had taken her weeks before she could finally get to sleep without nightmares of Quirrell's screams of pain as he was burned to ash under her hands. And she could get why people would think it was a lie, and in truth, Jasmine was glad people didn't believe it. She didn't want everyone to be scared of her or for the papers to call her evil.

"Not to mention how unfair it was that points were given last minute and how vague they were, as if a game of chess was worth 50 points. I thought my dad was kidding when he said that Dumbledore played favourites just like Snape does." Hannah scoffed before looking at Jasmine.

"Hannah," Susan said, looking very embarrassed.

"I had nothing to do with that. I didn't know anything about points; I wasn't let out of the hospital wing until that very night," Jasmine retorted coldly.

"As for that chess game, as you called it. It was one of the things protecting the stone that Quirrell was trying to steal. In that chess game, the three of us had to take the place of a chess piece, and if you have ever seen wizard chess, you know how dangerous it was if we lost," Jasmine added, annoyed that she was being called a cheat and liar.

"And what, you beat the DADA teacher, a fully qualified wizard?" Hannah asked in a disbelieving tone.

"No, he wasn't able to get the stone due to how Dumbledore had hidden it as you needed to want the stone but not actually want to use it, something that, if you were trying to steal the stone, would be impossible.

He used me to get the stone out of the protections and then attacked me. I passed out just as Dumbledore arrived, who must have dealt with Quirrell," Jasmine said with a shrug.

"That makes much more sense than you duelling the DADA teacher to the death. Moving on from that, are you looking forward to the new year?" Susan asked, shooting Hannah a look that she guessed meant to drop it.

"Err, I guess, but it seems like DADA is going to be horrible again," Jasmine said, sighing as it was her favourite subject.

"Why do you say that we have Lockheart for a teacher? He is an amazing wizard with tons of experience in dealing with the Dark Arts?" Susan asked.

"Have you read the books he has picked for the year? They have no spells in them at all. They are just stories about what he has done how is that any help," Jasmine said, her annoyance clear in her voice.

"Maybe he will tell us the spells in the actual class," Hannah guessed.

"What good is that if I forget the spell or how to pronounce it what I have to go find him and ask? And if so, why make use buy all of his books at all?" Jasmine asked, knowing that it was a burdensome expense on the Weasleys.

"Im sure he has a good reason," Hannah said as Susan looked a little more unsure.

Ron had told her that Susan's Aunt was the head of the law department, so she guessed that Susan was brought up to question the world more than most people do, or she just had some common sense.

"Do you know Neville Jasmine?" Susan asked out of the blue.

"Err, somewhat. We have talked every now and again, but he seems really shy, so it's hard to talk to him," Jasmine said as she noticed Hannah blushing.

"Really, I thought you would have talked a fair amount both your parents were good friends, from what my Aunt told me. Both of your fathers became Aurors together after leaving school," Susan said, as if Jasmine should have already known that.

"He never mentioned it," Jasmine said, wondering if Neville knew their parents knew each other.

"Well, Hannah has just been betrothed to him, so you will be seeing a lot more of us around," Susan said with a teasing smile on her face as she watched Hannah turn bright red.

"Susan!" Hannah complained at her teasing.

"As in a betrothal contract?" Jasmine asked, given she had a few of them that she had to deal with and didn't really know how to go about it.

"Ya, I don't have any myself, but I know my Aunt got some offers before turning them down," Susan said.

"How do you turn them down?" Jasmine asked.

"Oh ya, I bet you must have a ton of them," Hannah said.

"Seven of them so far and none that I really want to take some I can just burn when I get back to the burrow," Jasmine said, remembering the Malfoy contract.

"Really, how are you going to reply to them?" Susan asked.

"Im going to turn them down other than the ones from the families of Death Eaters, which I will burn," Jasmine said with a flicker of happiness at the idea.

"You should at least reply. It's considered a slight if you don't reply," Hannah said in warning.

"Why would I care if I slight Death Eaters? I did that when Voldemort was killed," Jasmine said, rolling her eyes.

Jasmine noticed that Susan looked approving of what she said, which wasn't a big surprise. She knew the Bones family was killed by Death Eaters; according to Hagrid, the idea she would give two shits about them was ridiculous.

Jasmine finished her ice cream before standing up.

"Im sorry I can't stay longer, but I don't have much time before I have to go back to the Weasleys," Jasmine said, standing up.

"Okay, see you back at Hogwarts," Susan stood up with her cup of ice cream that she hadn't finished eating, with Hannah following her. The three of them walked up the Alley till they got to the Leaky Cauldron, and Susan and Hannah bought a handful of Floo Powder for a Sickle.

Jasmine was glad that she hadn't spent all of her money, or she would have had to make the long walk back to the bank and then wait before she could go down to her vault all for a Sickle.

Jasmine gave them both a wave before she walked out of the Leaky Cauldron and back into Muggle London. Jasmine didn't find it odd that she could draw a clear line between the magical and none magical world.

After all, while she didn't hate the muggle world, she knew she would most likely spend her entire life in the magical world after Hogwarts. After all, the muggle world did nothing other than remind her of her Aunt, Uncle and cousin, something she hated.

Jasmine quickly walked down the path and towards the street that held her new flat, somewhere she may even consider moving into. After all, it was a far better option that living with the Dursleys.

Jasmine was just glad it was near the Leaky Cauldron as she had looked at the location on a map many times wishing on being able to get there so she knew most of the surrounding streets.

It only took Jasmine a 15-minute walk to get to the street on which the flat was on before she started walking down the road looking for the correct number.

Halfway down the street, she was surprised to find number 20. She had expected that it would be hidden using magic, given that it was used during the wizarding war. So either the magic had faded, or it was never protected by magic at all.

Walking up the steps, Jasmine pulled out the flat key from her pocket and slipped it into the lock before opening the door. Jasmine held her breath as she waited for some kind of curse to be launched at her, but the flat was silent.

After a minute of standing next to the door, Jasmine guessed it was safe before she ventured into the flat. Jasmine walked down the short corridor till she got to the end that split off right and left.

There were two doors in front of her and one to either side that most likely let into the bedroom and living room/kitchen. Jasmine opened the closet door to the left to find a normal storage cupboard with some jackets hung up and shoes on the floor.

On the left, there were two broomsticks in a vertical rack that Jasmine had never seen before but thought was a good idea to keep them out of the way and safe.

Everything was covered in a layer of dust, so Jasmine stepped out and opened the one to the right, which turned out to be a large bathroom far nicer than any Jasmine had been in before, even Hogwarts.

The floor seemed to be made from marble and looked like a single seamless piece of marble, and Jasmine guessed that magic was responsible for that.

Stepping inside, Jasmine saw that there was no bath in the room, just a large shower with the wall to the side made out of a single mirror which Jasmine found a little strange, but maybe it was for shaving.

There was also a sink and a toilet in the far corner of the room, away from the shower. Stepping back outside, Jasmine walked to the left and opened the door, and stepped into a large bedroom.

The bed covers hadn't been made, and Jasmine guessed the flat hadn't been touched since Sirius had left. There was clothing all over the floor that belonged to a man before Jasmine noticed a pair of girls' underwear.

On the bedside table, Jasmine found a newspaper from the magical world. She carefully walked over and looked at the date on the newspaper to see 1 November, 1981.

Jasmine guessed that was the last time that anyone had been in the flat. Taking a better look around the room, the walls were pasted with posters and pictures of some motorcycles and others with half-naked women in several different poses.

But there were also framed pictures with a ground of friends in them, always the same group of four. There was a photo album on the bedside table under the newspaper.

Jasmine picked it up and held it in her hands before leaving the room and walked to the other room to check it out before she sat down and looked through the photo album.

As she had guessed, the other room was the living room/kitchen, with them both being combined. In the centre of the room was a large couch facing a TV against the wall. To the side of that was a table with four chairs.

That was in line with the three friends that she had seen in the pictures in the bedroom. Stepping further into the room, Jasmine was overwhelmed with a rotting smell that made her take a step back in revulsion.

It was the worse smell she had ever had the misfortune to smell, and she felt her stomach flip as she ran over to the window and opened it before sticking her head through and breathing fresh air.

Jasmine took a deep breath before pulling her head back inside and opening the door to the side of her hoping some fresh air would do some good.

Jasmine wondered if she would be able to get away with using magic to speed up getting rid of the smell and was tempted to try before she restrained herself.

Jasmine opened the photo album and started to look through the pages before she found a picture with three people in the picture; it was clearly taken at a wedding of some kind. Jasmine knew who the two in the picture was immediately she had seen them both in The Mirror of Erised all last year it was her mother and father and it was no doubt their wedding.

She guessed that the other man was Sirius Black, given that this was his photo album. It was odd looking at the picture, and he didn't look anything like a mass murderer. He had a boyish look with a warm, friendly smile.

She wasn't sure who the other two boys in all the pictures were, but they must have been close friends, given Sirius had pictures from year 1 all the way to when her parents got married.

Jasmine had never given it much thought looking at the pictures. It wasn't till when Sirius was older than her mother started showing up in pictures she wondered how her parents had gotten together. It didn't seem they were friends during the first few years of Hogwarts or, at the very least, not very good friends.

Turning the page, she looked through all the pictures, with each just bringing up more questions. There was a picture showing them before taking their OWLs and NEWTs with her mother in the picture of the NEWTs exam.

Flipping the next page, Jasmine blushed at the pictures. They all featured Sirius, and he conquests at Hogwarts, she guessed. Jasmine felt like she should close the book and walk away, but no one was around.

Looking through the pictures, she didn't recognise anyone till she got to the last picture when she saw her mother and Sirius. Jasmine froze, looking at the picture.

She felt a little guilty seeing her mother in such a manner but couldn't help taking a closer look and comparing herself to her mom. Jasmine recalled that when she had listened in on some of the older girls at school, they said that girls' bodies usually look like their moms' bodies.

She wasn't sure if that was true, but she couldn't help but compare if what the girls had said was true. Jasmine wouldn't mind her body looking like her mother's.

Jasmine closed the book and placed it in the bag that Gringotts had given her. Maybe the teachers at Hogwarts could tell her more about the other people in the pictures, and if they were still alive, then she could send them a letter.

Jasmine walked over to the window and closed it before closing the door. Although she really wanted to clean the flat, that wasn't an option today. She had to get back to the Burrow, and this flat would take hours to clean without magic.

After making sure the door and window were closed, Jasmine rushed into the hallway closing the door behind her knowing she would need to replace all the furniture and carpet in that room. She was just glad that the walls weren't covered in mould.

And while she didn't venture into the kitchen, she would replace that as well. Clearly, the smell came from there, and she wouldn't keep any of it as she would never forget how it used to be even after cleaning.

Walking to the front door, Jasmine left the flat and locked the door before slipping the key back into her pocket and walking back to the Leakey Cauldron and using the Floo to return back to the Burrow.

"Was everything okay?" Mrs Weasley asked as she took a seat at the table after stumbling out of the Floo.

"Ya, we went over everything, but I couldn't go down to the vaults with the amount of time that I had. I also went clothes shopping," Jasmine said, holding up the bag of clothing.

"I see that's nice the bank had some letters for you?" Mrs Weasley asked as she pulled out the betrothal contracts.

"No, they are offers of marriage," Jasmine said, rolling her eyes. Before she asked, "Where is everyone else?"

"Ginny is in her room, and the boys are out playing on their brooms," Mrs Weasley said, looking out the window.

Jasmine grabbed the betrothal offers from the known Death Eaters families and threw them into the fire without bothering to read them. There was nothing they could offer her that would ever make her want to get married to them.

Jasmine noticed Mrs Weasley looking at her confused as the envelopes caught fire and turned to ash in the fireplace.

"It was from the Malfoy and other Death Eater families," Jasmine said.

Jasmine saw her scrunch her face in disgust at the idea.

Jasmine opened the rest of the letters and gave them a quick read. She had already decided that she was going to turn them down, but she had never seen a betrothal offer before. It had fallen out of practice a long time ago in the none magical world.

All of the offers were basically the same: she would marry into their family, her firstborn son could have the Potter family name, and all her children would have their family name after that.

They may not have been Death Eaters, but that didn't stop them from trying to take advantage of her. For example, what if she didn't have any sons? The Potter name would die out.

Jasmine spent the next hour writing out several letters to each one of the families that had made her an offer, no matter how insulting she found it. She knew it would take a while before she could send them all as she needed to do them one at a time but at least Hegwid was getting some good flying in, given she had been locked up all summer.

After she had written out all the letters, Jasmine ran up to Ginny's room to get changed into her new clothing. Jasmine wasn't surprised to see that Ginny was writing into that book again.

Jasmine removed all of her old clothing from her trunk and replaced it with her new clothing before changing out of her old clothes and into the new ones.

Jasmine spent the next few hours talking with Ginny as she wrote in the book before they were called down for dinner, where she was subjected to a plethora of questions about Muggles from Mr Weasley.

It wasn't till later that night that she had remembered the picture with Sirius and her mother, and she pulled out the album to have another look. She knew that Ginny was absorbed in her own book, and even if she tried talking to her, Ginny wouldn't really pay attention.

Looking closer at the picture, she could see Sirius's penis as they fucked, and she felt her face getting hot as she watched him thrust backwards and forwards into Lily, and Lilly bounced on his lap.

Jasmine looked at some of the other pictures noticing one with what looked like an older Susan, given the much larger breasts that the girl had, and there was even an older-looking Luna.

Jasmine guessed that these were most likely Susan and Luna's mothers that Sirius was having sex with. From the little she knew about sex, it seemed Susan's mom was being fucked like a dog as Sirius pulled on her hair, which seemed painful to Jasmine.

As for Luna's mom, she was sat on his lap, bouncing herself up and down as Sirius laid back with a smile on his face.

Jasmine took a closer look at her mother, who seemed to be enjoying herself from her facial expressions. While she knew that sex was meant to be pleasurable, it looked like a very large thing to be sticking in a very small place.

Jasmine rubbed her legs together and felt her body warmer the more she looked at the picture, and her face and pussy grew warmer as she felt the desire to rub herself before she caught herself and closed the photo album and laid back in bed, trying to sleep unsure about the new things she was feeling.

The following two days passed quickly for Jasmine, with her playing Quidditch with the Weasleys, and Jasmine was surprised to see that Ginny played as well. Given she was the only daughter, she was sure that Mrs Weasley wouldn't let her do something so dangerous.

Jasmine was sure that if her mum wasn't dead, she also wouldn't be happy with Jasmine playing Quidditch either, not given how many times she had managed to get injured.

She also managed to get 2 more letters out as she didn't want to push Hedwig too much.

Jasmine wasn't sure what to feel the night of her departure. Last year she couldn't wait to leave and get to Hogwarts, and at the end of the first year, she wished that she could stay at Hogwarts all year and spent most of the summer counting down the days till she would be back.

She hadn't done that since getting to the Burrow the entire house was warm and inviting, and Jasmine knew she would miss it when she got back to Hogwarts.

It took a long while to get started in the morning. Mrs Weasley had got them up at dawn, but somehow they still seemed to have a great deal to do.

Besides Percy, herself and Ginny, everyone else seemed to be rushing about and doing last-minute packing or checking they hadn't forgotten anything.

She was also surprised to learn that they would be taking the car to the station, something she found odd as she didn't think that many magical families bothered to buy a car, and she couldn't imagine someone like the Malfoys using a car either.

Given that the Floo seemed to be able to go from any magical house to another magical house or magical area, Jasmine was sure that they would be using that to get to Platform 9 and 3/4. Still, she wasn't upset that they wouldn't be using the Floo. The last thing she wanted was for the whole school to see her come flying out of the Floo and falling on her face.

After breakfast, Jasmine was shown one of the most amazing magics she had ever seen. Jasmine couldn't see how eight people, six large trunks, two owls, and a rat would fit into one tiny car that was quite snug with just her, Ron and the Twins.

"Not a word to Molly," Mr Weasley whispered to Jasmine as he opened the trunk and showed her how it had been magically expanded so that

the luggage fitted easily.

But Mr Weasley said it was a very advanced charm that was very difficult to perform but made no other mention of the charm or how to cast it, which made sense given that Twins were nearby and could hear them talking.

They all managed to fit into the car, no doubt due to Mr Weasleys expansion charm something that Mrs Weasley didn't seem to know about from the way she was surprised that they all managed to fit into the car.

"Mom thinks that car can only fly, but it has tons of other charms like invisibility even if it's a bit iffy," Fred or George whispered to Jasmine, ensuring Mrs Weasley didn't overhear.

Jasmine wasn't sure why the car could fly or turn invisible. The expanded space made sense as for everything else; it seemed that Mr Weasley had done it just because he could.

It brought back memories of her dream of a flying motorbike which now she wasn't sure was a dream anymore after she had seen a flying car.

They had managed to get to the station with around five minutes to spare, with everyone making a beeline to the platform, which was odd to the muggles, given the looks they were shooting.

Jasmine and Ron were the last to go through with Mr and Mrs Weasley helping Ginny through the portal to the platform.

"Let's hurry up, or Hermione will be lecturing us for the entire train ride," Ron said.

"Ya, let's go," Jasmine said before pushing her trolly at the wall picking up speed as she still found it a little odd to walk into a wall.

Jasmine closed her eyes as the wall got closer before she heard a loud crash. Jasmine slammed into the trolly knocking the wind out of her and making her tumble over the trolly painfully, and she heard Ron crash into her trolly, causing her to tumble to the floor.

"OI! What the hell are you both playing at," one of the staff members shouted at them, seeing them crashing into the wall. Jasmine let out a small groan before getting to her feet, her stomach and leg throbbing in pain from where she had it them.

"Im sorry I lost control of the trolly," Jasmine said to the man.

"Be more careful next time," the man warned before he helped place everything back on the trollies and walking off.

"Why can't we get through?" Jasmine asked Ron hoping he would know given his family had spent years going to Hogwarts.

"I dunno," Ron said, looking around confused.

"We're going to miss the train," Jasmine whispered to Ron.

"I don't understand why the gateway's sealed itself. It's never done that before," Ron said with hints of panic in his voice.

Jasmine looked up at the clock seeing that the train was due to leave in one minute time, and started looking around, hoping that there would be some form of ministry worker or someone from the school, yet she couldn't see anyone.

Jasmine walked over to the barrier and pushed against it, only to find it felt like a solid brick wall.

"Three... Two... One... We have missed the train," Ron said.

"Well, let's just wait here. Your mum and dad have to come back out," Jasmine said, trying to think of their best option.

"What if Mum and Dad can't get back through to us? Have you got any

Muggle money?" Ron asked Jasmine.

"No, I only have Wizarding money, and they have to, or the Ministry will send someone to fix the problem," Jasmine said as she noticed that the muggles were giving her and Ron even more strange looks.

Jasmine looked at her trolley and understood that she and Ron were really standing out with an owl and rat in cages, not to mention they both looked very lost, and it wouldn't be long before someone, maybe even the police, would come and see what was wrong.

"Let's go wait by the car. The muggles are looking at us; if we stand out for too long, people will try and see if we need help, and we can't explain why our tickets say Hogwarts or the trunk full of spellbooks," Jasmine whispered to Ron.

"Okay good idea," Ron said as they pushed their trollies back to the car.

"Jasmine!" said Ron, his eyes gleaming as he saw the car. "The car! That's the solution."

"What about it? How is that going to help."

"We can fly the car to Hogwarts!"

"What? We can't fly the car to Hogwarts!" Jasmine hissed. "If we are seen, we could be expelled or even in real legal trouble."

"We're stuck, right? And we've got to get to school, haven't we?

And even underage wizards are allowed to use magic if it's a real

emergency, section nineteen or something of the Restriction of

Thingy..."

"Well, I errr..." Jasmine said, unsure about the wizarding law.

"How will your parents get home if we take the car?" Jasmine asked.

"They don't need the car!" said Ron impatiently. "They know how to Apparate! You know, just vanish and reappear at home!"

Jasmine didn't know what Ron was talking about but guessed it was the ability to teleport from one place to another, which she assumed was an advanced magical skill.

"Do you even know how to fly this thing?" Jasmine asked.

"Of course. Now come on, if we hurry, we can follow the Hogwarts Express," Ron said, opening the boot with a tap of his wand.

Jasmine felt her worry rise as she loaded her and Ron's trunk into the boot, closed the lid, and climbed into the car.
