"It has been a long time since I last saw you. I hope you have been keeping well.", Will heard a loud and deep voice say. He looked at the old man who just spoke. After some struggles, he tilted his head to look back at his father.
Raphael was standing there, still. The old man continued to walk down the stairs. Along with him were a few other middle age men, along with a few fairly good looking women. Will saw the women giving him a very bad look, and it seemed that his mother had seen it as well.
"Father. I had a son recently. Per your instructions, I have come back.", Raphael said, quite monotonously. Will observed that Raphael had not answered the question that was posed.
"Good then. Let me see him.", the old man came towards Daphne. Daphne looked at Raphael, and he nodded at her. Seeing that, she handed Will carefully to the old man. The old man looked at Will carefully.
"Good, this one is not a squib. Thank goodness. I was afraid that... the muggle blood would cause some problems. Okay... he will be groomed well. What is his name Raphael?", the old man asked.
Raphael grit his teeth. "Funny that's the first thing you say to your grand child, father. He doesn't have a name yet. We haven't decided."
"Haven't decided? Well, I think you were hoping that you had a girl, and this one popped right out, sending you back here to me. Well, you can't not have a name for too long, it's bad luck. Hmm... we'll call him William. I fancy myself a Shakespeare fan these days.", he said as he handed Will back to Daphne.
"It wasn't your decision to make, father. We are the parents.", Raphael stood his ground.
Not minding his son's words, the old man continued to walk away. He took a napkin from one of the men surrounding him, and cleaned his hands, throwing it back at the man. Will saw this and felt quite offended.
"Come on! You just touched me and you're cleaning your hands right away? Not cool man. You'll see in the future, when I grow up... I am going to remember everything.", Will thought to himself, having his own conspiracy thoughts floating in his head.
"You should set up shop in your old room. You will be here for quite a while. Rest, we have a celebratory dinner planned for the two of you, well the three of you.", the old man said, glancing at Daphne once. She trembled, sending the tremors to Will.
"Come on woman! Take your anger out on him, not on me", Will cried inside in pain, and involuntarily outside as well.
Daphne looked at Raphael, and he nodded back. The both of them went to the right most edge of the huge hall, to a passage that lead to a series of rooms. Will looked at the corridor with marvel. He was certainly amazed by the extravagance of the manor, with the dazzling lights, and the wonderful drapes. After a few minutes of walking, which shocked Will, because the Manor certainly did not look as big as it actually was, and it looked quite big on the outside, they reached the end of the corridor. They faced a white door, which was taller than the other doors. Raphael looked at Daphne and sighed.
He went forward and pushed the doors open. The three were greeted with what could only be described as a presidential suite. There was a huge bed, and multiple closets. A crib was already set up, and there was even a separate room for the study. Will looked at all this with wonder. Daphne went towards the crib and laid Will down. Then, she just collapsed onto the bed with exhaustion.
"Dear, I just can't face your sisters. Did you see the look that they gave to our child? And you father! He named the child, and that's it. Now, whenever I call him out, I will be thinking about your father!.", Daphne sobbed.
"It will grow on you. What do you think I feel like? I am his son. I lived with him the most in this entire household, yet I still don't know him truly. How did he turn out so bitter, when my own grandfather was such a sweet man? I wonder?"
Then, someone knocked on the door.
"Enter!", Raphael called out.
An old man, who was clearly a butler, entered the room. He bowed to Raphael and said, "Young Master, lunch will be served in fifteen minutes. Your wardrobes are already fitted, so you will face no problem attending."
"Well, we have a child to look after, Geoffrey. What do we do? He is not even asleep.", Raphael stated his worries.
"Lady Margaret shall look after him, Young Master. Not to worry. Please do make haste, You do not want the master to wait.", the butler said and left.
