Quirrell surprised by the figure suddenly appearing inside the chamber turned towards Harry with his wand ready. But having the Dark Lord sticking at the back of his head clearly took a toll on the professor, he is slow and sluggish like just moving his body is a struggle for him.

Harry's eyes narrowed as he noticed that Quirrell is a lot paler than last time, his eyes bloodshot, looks like he is barely standing. Quirrell tried to attack but Harry easily disarmed the professor with a simple wave of his wand.

Quirrell's wand flew out of his hand and landed on the floor. Of all things that Harry was expecting to happen when once again coming face to face with Voldemort and his minion this was not anywhere near this. To think Harry took so many precautions just to come here and find that Quirrell is already half-dead at this point.

What the hell! Harry doesn't even have to do anything, he is pretty sure that Quirrell's body would just give up in a few days and it's not like he can take the stone out of the mirror. But how did this happen? Last time while Quirrell looked a little bit pale but that was it, he was at least physically speaking completely fine.

But even after seeing that his opponent is in no condition to put any kind of fight Harry still keeps his guard up. He knows better than to underestimate Voldemort no matter how weak he seems.

"Don't you have any manners? We should greet our unexpected guest. Let me speak so I can properly welcome him." Voldemort's raspy voice came from Quirrell's turban.

"But master you are still too weak." Quirrell pleaded but Voldemort interrupted him.

"Silence! Do what you have been told." Voldemort's voice commanded.

Quirrell nodded with fear apparent on his face before he started to remove his turban. Quirrell stands right before the mirror so Harry and Voldemort finally came face to face with each other after all this time through their reflections on the mirror.

"Pest! So we finally meet again. I was hoping to run into you so I could properly crush you. I have been waiting for this since you had the audacity to attack me the great Voldemort himself in the forest." It didn't even take that long before Voldemort's arrogance and pride is on full display.

"You know for all-powerful Dark Lord you certainly don't look like much. It would just take a breeze for your vessel to just drop on the ground." Harry retorted from under his hood. Due to the enchantment of his cloak, the voice that comes out is deep and rough completely unrecognisable for his own voice.

"I would have killed you for such insolence if I was not feeling so generous and merciful today. Help me get the stone from this mirror and I promise you that I can fulfil your every desire. Wealth, Power, Fame, etc anything you want will be yours if you follow me." Voldemort spoke trying to be as enticing as possible but his arrogance still showed itself with every word that came out of his mouth.

"As great as that sounds coming from a talking skull but the answer is no" Harry replied.

"I was hoping that you would say that. This vessel is already dying so I need another one and yours will do just fine." Voldemort yelled back.

Suddenly Quirrell's neck did a 180° twist instantly killing the professor and Harry came face to face with Voldemort. A black veins like pattern also appeared on the professor and slowly started spreading over his entire body.

Harry didn't need his mage sight to tell that Quirrell's body is literally rotting from inside out. With Quirrell dead Voldemort took complete control of his body but as far Harry could tell this is only a temporary situation. Voldemort must have used some dark ritual to sacrifice Quirrell in order to gain a body for a short while and regain some of his magical abilities. Then Quirrell's wand flew back into his hands.

As soon as he got a body Voldemort shot three consecutive killing curses at Harry at a frightening speed. This is completely different from Quirrell who looked almost dead just a while ago.

Harry dodged the first one and raised a wall from the ground in front of him for the other two, the wall shattered into countless pieces as soon as it formed as two curses made contact. Without wasting any time Harry quickly launched the pieces of the stone wall at Voldemort while they were still in the air.

Voldemort quickly raised Quirrell's wand and a shield made of darkness formed in front of him defending him from all the stones coming his way. Harry quickly followed through as a whip made of fire sprang out of his wand and tore right through Voldemort's shield and coiling around Quirrell's body. The professor's body couldn't even last a second under Harry's fire and melted right in front of him.

Voldemort's spirit bursts out of the melted remains and the Dark Lord simply chose to flee without any fanfare or threatening speeches.

Harry could never have defeated Voldemort so easily if he was anywhere near his full power. Using someone's body can only take you so far and Voldemort knew that he stood no chance against someone powerful so he just flew away to safety.

Harry watched as the spirit disappeared from the confines of the castle and then he turned toward the mirror sitting inside the chamber.

As he came in front of the mirror he felt the stone appear inside his pocket just like the last time. Harry took out of the blood-red stone before pointing his wand at it and shattered it into hundreds of pieces.

All the pieces fell on the ground and Harry watched as the blood-red colour slowly drained out of the pieces leaving nothing but black stone fragments on the floor.

With that done, Harry was about to leave the chamber but suddenly he felt Dumbledore coming toward the chamber.
