Professor Flitwick & Transfiguration Class

"I am Padma Patil. You can call me Padma."

All of us had gathered together in the Ravenclaw common room and were busily conversing with each other in a state of high excitement.

Terry Boot, Mandy Brocklehurst, Michael Corner, Anthony Goldstein, Padma Patil, and Lisa Turpin, Isobel MacDougal, Stephen Cornfoot, Sue Li, and myself.

Ten students are admitted to each House annually. It was what Ravenclaw students concluded happens each year from past student records from the prefects.

Our Common room suddenly opened and came a short person, walking towards us with a beaming smile.

"Welcome students, We are delighted to have fresh faces in our midst." The professor started with a smile.

"Let me introduce myself. I am Professor Filius Flitwick, and I teach 'Charms' and I will be your Head of the House for the next Seven Years. If you have any doubt regarding the subject, and even about the workings of the Hogwarts and other such miscellaneous information, you can find me in the Charms Classroom after the classes are over."

Every Ravenclaw student was thrilled, apart from Oliver whose features showed a lack of interest, but was listening keenly.

"Let me Introduce our Ravenclaw House" Professor Flitwick cleared his throat and gently swished his wand and he rose from the ground and stood on a nearby table.

"Nice!"

"Awesome."

"So Cool."

"Can we do that?"

All the students began to communicate among themselves.

"Silence," Professor Flitwick smiled and said, "Yes, you can all do this after you have trained yourself sufficiently and learned all the shortcuts of spell casting."

All the students were excited, and the Professor continued,

"As I was saying, Ravenclaw house is known for its Intelligent and Creative Students. But what it separates from the other houses is that our house mostly focuses on learning, and improving oneself, while House Gryffindor are known for the braveness and Courage and Determination. But that doesn't mean they don't like learning and Ravenclaw are not Brave."

"While House Slytherin is known for their Cunning and Ambition, they are and will be your major competitors in the subjects as they are just as elite students as yourself."

"But that doesn't mean you can neglect House Hufflepuff, while most people basically dismiss Hufflepuff, did you know that in recent years, majority of the Aurors from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement are from House Hufflepuff."

Professor Flitwick told this information deliberately so that all the students could understand them.

"Professor! I have a question," interrupted a boy rudely.

"Yes, you can ask me, Mr.?"

"Goldstein. My name is Anthony Goldstein."

"Tell me what you want to know, Mr. Goldstein?" asked the professor jovially.

"Are you a goblin?"

"No, I am a Half-Goblin or you otherwise known as part Goblin."

"Are you even qualified to teach us?" Anthony questioned the professor.

Professor Flitwick's face did not change as if he had heard this question a thousand times, "Yes, Mr. Goldstein, I am perfectly Capable of teaching the Charms subject to all the year students" and then he turned towards all of us and said, "You may not know me, But I was a Dueling Champion in my youthful days."

Everyone marveled at the professor's revelation. It intrigued even Oliver.

"Taking into account that all students are present here, I will a give a little reward, unlike other Houses that, if you can get 'O' in at least 4 Subjects, I will give special permission to that student for visiting Hogsmeade. "

"Yatta"

"Yes."

"Awesome."

"Wow, our Head is so cool."

"I heard only 3rd year students are usually allowed to visit Hogsmeade, but Ravenclaw Head has special permission from the Headmaster that is any of his students attain 4 O in both the First and Second Year they can visit Hogsmeade." Padma was eagerly explaining this to Oliver who had a interested expression.

Quest No. 3

Have a minimum of 4 'O's in each subject throughout the year.

Reward: +25% Ancient Rune and Magical Theory understanding.

Professor Flitwick will help you in Most Cases involving you other than the Dark Arts.

Failure: Nil

Oliver's eyes widened at that. He quickly went through the rewards section.

'Yes, Runes will be a major help in the future, and I have some understanding because of Borgin. He had many objects inscribed in Runes, but those were Dark Artifacts.'

'Magical Theory?, what is that? Looks like I have to do some research'

Taking a moment to slowly turn his attention to Padma, he pretended to be listening to her.

Padma did not notice his unusual state and was speaking to Sue Li and Stephen Cornfoot, who had just joined us.

It looks like we will be a group of Four.

Oliver turned his thoughts to 'Padma', who was a witty and outspoken, which she had mentioned was just like her twin sister, Parvati, from the Gryffindor.

'Sue Li' who was shy, but was very competitive in learning.

'Stephen Cornfoot', the recent addition to the group, was a mystery. He was the silent type, but there was a look in his eyes which Oliver found very familiar.

'You all will be a great help in my quest,' smiled Oliver.

"Look, he is doing that again" Padma pointed to Sue Li and Stephen when Oliver was smiling.

"Yes, it was definitely creepy," laughed Sue Li, and even Stephen nodded at that.

Oliver rolled his eyes at them. 'If only they knew.'

a total of 40 students per year

Hope you like this concept of all students together. I thought it would add more Drama. ]

**Transfiguration Class Room**

All the four houses were joined together, which resulted in the rooms being much larger and able to fit in all the students.

"Transfiguration is some of the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts," she said.

"Anyone messing around in my class will leave and not come back. You have been warned."

Then she changed her desk into a pig and back again. They were all very impressed and couldn't wait to get started, but soon realized they weren't going to be changing the furniture into animals for a long time.

They were given a match and to try and turn it into a needle.

The Gryffindor students were having some trouble and the match didn't show any signs of change. Only Hermione Granger from that group managed to turn it and got herself a point which greatly pleased her by the look on her face.

Despite their best efforts, none of the Hufflepuff students were able to turn the match into needles, yet Susan Bones nearly succeeded in doing so.

Half of the Ravenclaw and Slytherin students managed to turn it to needles which greatly shocked McGonagall and she gave each one who turned it to a needle a point.

Oliver felt an overwhelming sense of boredom as he stared at the countless matchsticks he had assembled into perfect Silver Needles.

"Ten Points to Ravenclaw" said Professor McGonagall to Oliver which shocked all the students. "Keep up the good work" and showed a rare smile.

"Damn it, Oliver help us" pleaded Padma whose matchstick was half a needle, while Sue Li and Stephen hadn't turned.

"Sure, Sure" and he helped them with the Transfiguration spell.

Suddenly he felt a stare from different directions on him.

He slowly turned and saw that it was a Gryffindor girl who had been the only one to turn the matchstick into a needle.

She had Brown eyes and a Bushy hair. She had two teeth to showing at the front, otherwise she looked pretty.

Then he turned his gaze towards the Slytherin Table and found that a girl with a Blonde hair who immediately turned her head when she'd felt his gaze towards her.

'Hmm, Interesting'

His eyes sought the how the Parkinson girl and the Nott boy did the exercise.

He was cautious and alert in order to be prepared for whatever skills his future adversaries may possess.

Pansy Parkinson did not manage to do it, while the Nott kid had turned 3 Matchsticks into needles.

Then he turned to check how Harry Potter did the exercises, and it slightly shocked him that the Great Harry Potter couldn't do it. Potter and a Red-headed kid were still attempting and not succeeding.

He wondered what happened to that? Was Potter keeping a low profile? Did he know about Voldemort?

'Was he pampered to the point he did not know the spells?'

'Does he know that what he will face in the future?'

'Can I even use him in my plans?'

Oliver thought he should rework his plans. 'Damn it. Let's slow down, We shall see what happens in the future.'
