Tsubaki went in a stance with her drawn katana and prepared to fight while I thought how all of this came to be. After I accepted her request Tsubaki told me we are going to her apartment and fight in her backyard it has the necessary equipment after all. Well, so she told me the others only nodded and asked if they can come along Bete was being rude as always but in the end still tagged along. On or way Riveria began questioning me. „How can you use so many different magic spells and incantations?

I am really interested because normally any person can only use 3 spells or incantations unless you have some special skill or racial trait. So I am really looking forward to what you have to say about your miraculous ability?"

She acted somewhat out of character but that was to be expected so I was ready for it and responded. „Riveria-san it's just that I can use all and any magic since birth here is nothing strange about it maybe whoever is gonna give me my blessing can tell me more about my abilities."

She seemed to accept my answer and didn't pry further. After the conversation was over we jogged to Tsubaki's Apartment on my suggestion because I was eager to spar with a first-class adventurer ad get some experience. After arrival I went along to the backyard following Tsubaki she told me I can come over anytime she doesn't have costumers over. I happily told her that I am surely gonna take her up on the offer in the future.

When I saw the backyard for the first time I was shocked because of its extreme size well now I understand how she can say she has the right equipment here is a small scale arena with practice weapons of all kind.

„So lad take any weapon you might like and use it I want to see your skill!" Tsubaki said in a loud voice filled with hearty laughter and giggling. When I took up a katana with a 120 cm blade and a 20 cm handle. She looked at me with a curious glance started laughing as she also took up a katana. As we prepared she still had that curious glance which made me think why her behavior changed so drastically.

Even after minutes of thinking when the preparations were finally done I couldn't figure out why she had made such a drastic change.

I went and took an iaijutsu stance and got ready to receive the onslaught of one of the strongest adventurers in town. After Tsubaki took her stance with the drawn blade Finn looked at us and said „If any of you goes too far I will get in the way so be ready.

And now begin!" as soon as the words fell I only saw a blur and I instinctively drew my sword and slashed diagonally down to my right side took a step back and blocked a strike coming from my right side with a slash diagonally upwards and looked into the surprised eyes of Tsubaki when her clothes showed sign of tearing.

„Winner Cedric Sommerscave!" when I heard Finn's words my mind blanked I didn't think I would be able to win it even took only three movements to win. I went over to Tsubaki and thanked her for the spar she still seemed surprised. When I looked at my status I was shocked as well it seems I made a breakthrough.

It seems I have reached the limit my body can handle so my growth was actually limited. {Host you have reached your limit please join a familia or your body will not hold out any more growth.} I thanked the system in my head and looked forward to the talks and I already decided to join the Loki familia and ask for permission to learn smithing from the Hephaestus familia.

After Tsubaki calmed down we made it way into the mansion Tsubaki seats us around a low table of Asiatic style. Everyone was now seated when Finn began to talk. „So Cedric Sommerscave it would be nice if you could join one of or familia I want to say join or familia but I don't want to put pressure on you so make your decision."

When Finn was done Tsubaki began talking in a small voice. „You want to join a familia right normally I would say to you that should go around and search for a familia of your own but with your capabilities, this could get rather dangerous for so it's a well-meant advice please consider joining any of us." At this point, Bete interrupted all the others that wanted to speak by slamming his fist weekly on the table and saying.

„I have to admit you have potential so I have no problem if you join our familia but never get level headed you will regret it!" In a very pissed attitude. When I gave him my answer everyone in the room was shocked beyond belief. „Then why don't you teach me Bete I think you know best how not to get to level headed right."

I gave him the answer in a playful manner and it seems like I shocked him quite a bit. Then he began to laugh his heart out it seems like I may have hit a nerve. „Hey brat you really want to be my friend really a weakling like you I can't hold my laughter it so funny." he was laughing hard when I realize he was laughing to hide his tears.

„Bete stop being level headed you don't have to hide everyone here is your family so just cry if you need to." I almost screamed the words but in the end, Bete seemed to have calmed down somewhat. „SO BRAT you say that I need to stop hiding my tears what do you know about pain ha!" when Bete was telling me this he seemed to have hatred in his voice but the hopeful glint in his eyes didn't escape my notice.

„I know it's best to let all pain go so you can take all the love and care you can get. It's not easy getting over the past but at some point you have to accept that there are always some people that care about you no matter how much you cry and how much others laugh at you here will be only one victorious you if you show persistence so stand up cry and weep all you want you have friends and family that will always hear you out." Bete became enraged and started ranting.

„What a brat you think it's easy too always stand and be a hero no it's hard you can't even imagine how hard it is to stand without having a floor! Without having anyone to rely on! You can't understand the loss and loneliness that follows you never experienced it! And you say it's easy brat!?"

„A hero is someone that even when tragedies nearly swallowed him stood back up with the support of some nice people that couldn't handle seeing an once bright person being dim and tainted by others that's why never allow your past or your circumstances to define you always walk and think it's always to soon to give up and you will never outgrow your past it's a part of you so learn to fight by taking all of it with you!"

After my speech Bete didn't talk for a while after some minutes past Bete stood up looked at Finn and said „I am going to the dungeon also the boy hope you look after him while I am away I am going to take care of him once I am back." Finn just gave him a short nod as he watched him go on his way.

Tsubaki was really happy and said

„Well if I remember correctly Hephaestus told me to train someone in smithing so you can come by once in a while. But you have to give all the money from items you forged to our familia till you reach a level where you can sell him on your own." Finn also began explaining „So you want to join our familia and we don't have any problems with it, to begin with here are some rules I have to explain don't pick a fight with other familia's because it will only give us a bad light and always think of how to benefit the familia besides that I just have to say don't cause too much trouble. I am no we are looking forward to seeing you as part of our familia everyone present will help you to grow so take your time and adapt to your new life. We will help you along the way we are all friends now."

When his words were finally over we said Tsubaki our goodbyes even though she probably wants to press any information she can out of me so she won't fail in our next spare it seems I will have to take care of some hassle from now on. I began carving my way towards a new life and my new home the twilight manor.
