“I do not believe you,” Franks states.

Ollie shrugs. “Why should we believe your story?”

“Uh…” Frank’s face takes on many emotions. “I am telling the true—truth.” But he doesn’t put that much power in it because he immediately adds, “You cannot know for sure.” He ponders the problem for a little while. “We are going to have to trust each other.” His expression says just how much he likes the thought.

Ollie looks on steadily, waiting for Frank to decide.

Wes takes advantage of the lull to check in on the others. Mica looks attentive but, at times, she seems oddly absent. Wes is worried and Randy looks generally concerned too. He also must’ve noticed something wrong with the way Mica’s acting.

“Yes,” Frank says. “Let me go.” But when Ollie moves to him, Frank crawls back a little, “You have to promise.”

“You first,” Ollie says and Wes can tell from his tone that Ollie won’t budge.
