Chapter 21

Ollie decides to help, “I had a rough time when I grew up but then I met Wes and things started looking up.”

Mica nods like that is a universally acknowledged fact that Wes’s presence makes things better.

Wes feels soproud. He tries not to grin too obviously but he considers himself lucky that nobody is looking his way. His chest is so puffed up that somebody could poke him with a pin and it would deflate to half its size.

“Wesley is almost a hundred years younger, right?” Randy asks and Wes can practically see Randy put together the chronology of their lives. “You met when he was…How old was he?”

“I remind you that I have no way of confirming his birth year,” Ollie warns. “But, by the one I guessed, he was twenty-two when we met and twenty-five when we bonded.”

Mica frowns and whips her head to Ollie. “Bond?”
