the final 25: Saku vs Jiro

~Jeiku: 1 month later~

the final 25 fighters remain now, after a series of long and tedious battles with nothing out of the ordinary happening it finally became time for the final phase of the tournament. i dont fight for another 3 days, 2 fights will happen a day until the final battle which will be a full day event. the match to kick off the final stage in this tournament is the leaf shinobi saku vs the stone village shinobi, Jiro. i dont really know anything about saku, hes more than 10 years older than i am, ive only seen him briefly in passing, it'll be interesting to see another member of the leaf village fight.

"welcome everyone to the first fight of the final stage in this tournament!" the referee says into a microphone and the crowd applauds, the stadium is completely packed and now instead of a bunch of small arenas theres one big one. "there is no time limit on this fight, it will end when either contestant surrenders or is unable to continue fighting!" the crowd listens intently to the refs words, "killing is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate disqualification! now whenever you're ready, may the best fighter win!"

the ref blows a whistle and the fight begins, both fighters waste no time in attacking, they rush in at the same time. jiro looks to be slightly younger than saku but his muscles are toned significantly more, this match should be interesting. jiro throws a flurry of attacks and saku dodges them all with grace, saku swings his leg up and hits jiro in the head with it, jiro stumbles and falls, catching himself in a roll that skids to a halt.

before jiro can get back on his feet saku is on the offensive, he throws a jab at jiro that looks like it could've taken his head off if it connected. jiro manages to duck under the jab and delivers an uppercut that sends saku into the air, the crowd cheers. jiro leaps into the sky right before saku hits the ground, jiro goes for a swinging overhead attack but saku rolls out of the way, hes on his feet again and jiro throws more attacks at him, jiro isnt able to break through sakus defense, saku hits jiro with an open palm slap. jiro makes distance with saku quickly,

"damn it youre strong" jiro spits out blood "i was hoping i wouldn't have to use this so soon" jiro begins to perform hand seals, its so fast i cant tell what hes about to use, then jiro yells out in pain, saku had speed blitzed in front of jiro and with a swipe from a kunai jiro loses 3 fingers from his right hand, saku kicks jiro in the stomach hard.

"just give up now" saku stays on guard ready for jiro to attack, "you cant beat me"

saku is strong, way too strong, i can feel the chakra of the two fighters and i can tell only one of them is a 10, and it sure isnt saku.

"divine intervention, blind demon!" jiro shouts, theres a flash of light and jiro is standing there, but now hes taller by at least a foot, he has scales instead of skin and a long slender tail flicks around like a snake, his hair is spiked up and bright red, hes wearing a blindfold and his ears and nose appear to be missing, he smiles maliciously, his mouth full of sharp fangs. the crowd which had been cheering loudly goes silent.

"what are you-" saku says in a scared voice but before he can continue jiro is behind him, with a clawed hand jiro swats saku away like a fly, sending him flying. jiros tail flicks around as if looking for something and then it stops and jiro is instantly in front of saku.

it hits me, jiros divine intervention takes away his senses and makes him rely on his tail which acts like a snakes tongue. the tail senses his prey and with his amplified powers from the divine intervention hes able to dispatch his opponent quickly and efficiently. in other words, destroy the tail and jiro becomes defenseless not being able to see, hear, or smell in that form, or at least thats how it could work in theory, unfortunately i dont think ill be able to see that happen in this match.

jiro grabs sakus head and raises him in the air,

"for not being a 10 im impressed with how strong you are"

"what are you" jiro appears to not hear sakus words, so it seems like his tail only gives him vision. jiro throws saku out of the arena and his unconscious body lays there.

"this match is over! jiro advances to the next round!" the audience which had been silent now erupts into applause and i cant help myself from clapping along with them.

"how come you get fire powers even though thats my thing!" fuya asks me angrily

"well its not like i chose to be covered in white flames" its the day after my fight with jo and im being confronted about my divine intervention,

"well fuya," mikku interjects, "fire isnt even really your power"

"whats that supposed to mean? fires been my thing"

"well actually" mikku is about to reveal information that could discredit a certain person, "if you remember your jutsu was originally just a cheap knock off of gaara but for some reason the author retconned that a few chapters later and made your jutsu fire"

"oh yeah thats right" i say, "didnt the author retcon a bunch of stuff"

"like how Rōgan said no one knew about his power but then a chapter later he said his father knew" fuya cuts in.

"hey cut him some slack he can kill you off at any second if he wants" i say, we all laugh.
