HOW DID I BECOME THE SYSTEM!?

Stella, a seemingly average girl with a remarkable resemblance to a certain tomboy anime girl, dies during an attack on her school protecting her class. However, instead of seeing the pearly gates, she finds herself on trial for crimes committed against the gods in a past life. The verdict is not what she expected... Warning, the beginning isn't too good since it's just me letting my imagination run wild but two chapters in, the quality picks up.

The Real Test Begins

Today was a good day for Izuku Midoriya. He had gotten a full night's rest, ate a hearty breakfast, got to the entrance exams on time, talked to a girl, and he was pretty confident in his chance to pass the test. It's why he wasn't going to resort to things like point stealing or gathering an excess amount of points.

On his hovering light disk, Izuku flew threw the city just above the rooftops looking for villains. His top speed was around forty miles an hour giving him a big speed advantage over other competitors except for maybe the guy with the exhaust pipes in his legs.

He flew for around forty seconds before he found a group of eight robots that weren't near other competitors. When he got close, the robots detected him and unleashed a flurry of bullets which all hit the bottom side of his ride. None of the bullets even made a scratch on his light disk giving Izuku more confidence in his ability to ace the exam. With but a thought, eight stakes of hard light formed around Izuku and at his mental command, impaled and destroyed the robots.

"8 Minutes: 17 Points," Izuku noted. Trying to keep track of how much time and points he has until the end of the test.

Izuku would continue to rinse, sink, and repeat this method for the next five minutes, destroying any robots in his path provided that the robots weren't near a large group of his fellow examinees. It wouldn't be good for him to hit one of them with his light stake while he was raining down his attacks.

"3 Minutes: 56 Points. I think that's enough points to pass. Guess I'll stop here." Izuku could continue to rack up even more points if he wanted to but decided it would be best to stop since he had a pretty high score and knew that the robots in the city were getting scarcer by the minute. If he continued to rack up points needlessly other examines may not have a fair chance to get into U.A.

So with nothing to do other than wait out the rest of the test, Izuku landed his light disk on the tallest roof he could find and watched the other examines fight and destroy robots from his vantage point. It was because of this respite that Izuku noticed that the fourth type of villain, the Zero Pointer, hadn't appeared during the entire test.

It was then that the rumbling began, and the entire city started shaking. Izuku was beginning to lose his balance standing on solid ground so he took to the air with his light disk. Once Izuku was airborne he began to search the area for what could have caused such a disturbance.

"Two minutes remanining!" Present Mic's voice boomed through the fake city but Izuku didn't care about the time anymore, he was sure he already had enough points to pass. Instead, his mind began a rapid Q&A session with himself about the source of the tremors.

Was it someone's quirk? Unlikely, the user would have caused more tremors earlier. Was this a villain attack? Also unlikely. The test would have been canceled already if there was one.

As if to answer all his questions, in the distance, a giant green robot emerged from the street floor, Its form easily towered over the buildings of the city. Izuku immediately knew that the robot was the zero pointer.

The emergence of the Zero Pointer caused many to halt their attempt at gathering more points to just stare at the behemoth of a machine. Unfortunately for the examines, the robot wasn't made to sit still and be marveled at. It was created to rampage.

With a mighty swing of its arm, the zero pointers took out the closest building to it, showering the two-street block in front of it with rubble. Izuku was a good few blocks away so he was safely out of the robot's reach. However, Izuku wanted to be a hero and a hero made sure that everyone makes it out of a disaster, even other heroes. So without any hesitation, began his flight toward the street the Zero Pointer was on.

*Ding*

A system notification appeared in front of Izuku.

Izuku was already going to help anyone in need of escape but with the System promising a reward for his efforts, he felt extra motivated. The only thing he was struggling to figure out was how to defeat the Zero Pointer. Izuku knew that the method he used to destroy robots so far wouldn't get him the same result against the Zero Pointer because of its size and armor. So he decided to go help the examinees fleeing first before trying to defeat the Zero Pointer by going all out with his Light Projection.

When Izuku arrived on the street, hovering just above the buildings, he saw the future Heroes of Japan fleeing in a mass panic away from the Zero Pointer as it once again destroyed the roof of another building and flung it toward the fleeing examines. The roof of the building broke apart mid-air when it reached the peak of its ascent and began falling like a meteor shower toward the examinees.

Izuku noticed that a few pieces of the broken roof were going to hit multiple clusters of fleeing examines, so he stretched out his hand toward them and conjured a massive light wall, successfully blocking the debris from hitting the other examines with only a few cracks in the shield.

None of the examines Izuku saved had noticed that the debris was coming to hit them, so they also didn't notice when Izuku saved them from being hit, which was ok to Izuku since he didn't save them to be thanked.

While this was happening the Zero Pointer wasn't staying idle. It continued to rampage, plowing down everything in its path until it got ahold of half a building with both hands. Winding back its arms, it prepared a mighty swing to launch the broken building toward the fleeing examines.

Izuku began to panic slightly at the sight of the giant robot getting ready to hurl a three-story building toward him. Despite his panic, Izuku still focused and started forming and solving complex mathematical equations in his mind to determine where the debris would end up hitting.

According to his calculations, the debris would hit close to him but miss the retreating examines with only a three percent margin of error. He had determined all of this in less than five seconds thanks to the enhancements his intelligence had undergone from leveling up with the system.

Izuku breathed a sigh of relief, glad that he wouldn't have to block the attack since the size of the debris alone would most likely be too big for his light projections to block. After all, he had never been able to make a projection big enough or strong enough to stop an attack of that magnitude.

Knowing that the examines were out of harm's way, Izuku could move out of the area the building was going to hit and focus on defeating the zero pointers before the time ran out.

Or so he had hoped.

Just as the Zero Pointer had thrown the debris Izuku heard her, more specifically, Ochako. The girl he had talked to at the entrance of the school.

"Ow!"

Her cry was soft and weak. So soft that it would normally be impossible for someone without a sensory enhancement quirk to have heard since he was pretty high in the air. It was only thanks to the enhanced hearing he gained from leveling up that he was able to hear her and trace her voice back to the area it was spoken from. When he had the girl in his sight, his face morphed from calm to horrified when he saw Ochako, the nice girl from earlier today, had gotten stuck under some rubble and was struggling to free herself.

Normally Ochako would just lift the rubble with her quirk, Zero Gravity, but not only had she overused her quirk but the rubble had pinned her in a way that prevented her from touching it with all five of her fingers.

'She must have passed out earlier and just woke up' Izuku guessed since he believed it would be impossible for him not to have noticed her if she was awake and struggling to escape this entire time.

With the building thrown by the robot coming to bombard the area in less than 6-seconds Izuku decided to stop thinking and start moving to save the girl. He pushed his Power and body to their limits.
