Chapter 4

"El" I heard Sebastian called my name. He's my friend who migrated to Paris when we were just in junior high school. I came to the airport to fetch him because he decided to spent his summer vacation here in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, our hometown

"Seb" I exclaimed when I saw him. I ran towards him and hugged him tight.

"gosh, I missed you so much Seb" I said and pinched his cheeks.

"I miss you too El, you're so tall and slim. What did you do? Where's my chubby bestfriend?" He exclaimed and twirl me around that made me chuckle.

"dude, why did you left your bag? It's so heavy. Did you put stones inside?" A man who just walked towards us complained sarcastically while pushing cart where they put their luggages.

"stop, complaining dude. Anyway, this is my girl bestfriend, Elise. El this is Midnight my 2nd bestfriend" he said and placed his arms on my shoulder.

"second? Me? Really?" He asked and scoffed at Seb.

"yes dude second, she always comes first." Seb said and tucked his tongue out at Midnight who just rolled his eyes at Seb.

"I see that you are still childish Seb" I said and pinch his arm hard which made him flinched.

"Ouch, that hurts El" he groaned while caressing his arm.

"Stop over acting, it's just a pinch. You want me to punch you?" I said and chuckled that made him pout.

"Why are you doing this El? You are really taking his side?" He said, still pouting.

"Because you are bullying him" I said and shook my head.

"No I'm not. He's the one who always bullies me when we are in Paris." He said but he shut his mouth when he noticed that I'm glaring at him.

"Alright, I'll stop" he said and put his arms back to my shoulder and faced Midnight. "Stop staring at her Night. She's off limits dude" he added that made me nudge his side.

"Stop being over protective Seb" I said and faced Midnight.

"Hi, I'm El" I said smiling and offered him my hand that he accepted immediately.

"Midnight" he said and smiled.

I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling.

"How are you feeling?" Dra. Ana asked while wiping my tears.

"i-I'm f-fine" I said and closed my eyes again. Minutes late, I began sobbing. I hugged my knees and cried. I felt Dr. Ana's hands tapping my back gently without saying anything.

"I saw him, b-but" I can't finish what I'm saying because my tears won't stop falling.

"shhh, don't push yourself too much." She said and hugged me lightly.

"I-I want to try it again" I said when I got tired of crying.

"No, you should rest" she said but I shook my head.

"No, I want to remember him. I wan t-to.." Again, I didn't finish what I'm saying when my tears starts to roll down my cheeks. I heard he sighed and helped me wiped my tears.

"Alright"

When we started the hypnotism, I got back to the room I went a while agp But unlike earlier I can easily walk towards the table across the room.

I read it out loud just like a while ago. I noticed the door opened slightly. When I got close to it I looked back at the table and saw someone sitting at the chair behind the table. I know that he was facing me but I really can't see his face. I tried to walk back to the table but I felt some strong energy pulling me at the other side of the door.

"Elise" I heard Seb shouting my name and when I looked for him, I saw him waving at me from a far so ran towards them. We decided to have a picnic near the lake but I have a class so they just decided to wait for me here.

"Sebby" I said and hugged him tight.

"Miss me?" He asked and messed my hair.

"Nope, I'm just tired and needed a hug" I said and distanced myself from him. I noticed Midnight cooking barbeque so I walked towards him.

"Hey" I greeted him and bumped his shoulder.

"Hey" he said and smiled when he gaze at me. "You want some?" He asked and offered me a barbeque which I gladly accepted because I'm really starving after attending my five hours seminar at the university near this lake.

"Thank you" I said and sat at the chair near the grill.

"I'll just buy some ice, I forgot to bring the cooler." Seb said while scratching the back of his head.

"Alright grandpops" I said teasing him.

"grandpops? Really El?" He said raising his eyebrows at me so I just nodded. I usually use that terms when I'm teasing him when he forget something. I heard Midnight chuckled so I turned my head at him.

"Happy?" I asked while munching on the barbeque.

"Yes. I like it when he is pissed" he said still chuckling and handed me a tissue.

"Thanks" I said and wiped my lips. "You are into boys?" I teased.

"Of course not. I just like the way you pissed Sebastian. You can easily tease him but he will just shut up and not talk back at you. But if I'm the one who will teae him like that, he will ready his fist and run after me." he said while shaking his head.

"Well" I said and just continued eating the barbeque I'm holding.

"Is it good? I'm really not good in cooking. I just followed the recipe I saw in the internet." He said while avoiding my gaze.

"It's good. Not bad for a first timer" I said and smiled.

"Thank you" he replied and jokingly bowed at me as if he's some kind of a prince in a movie or fairytale.

"Welcome" I replied while chuckling and threw the stick at the garbage bag.

"I see that you are really close to Sebastian" he said and continued what he was doing.

"We are friends since we were little. That's why he treated me as his little sister" I said.

"Little sister?" He asked then I nodded even though he can't see me 'cause I'm facing his back.

"Yeah. Well, he has feelings for our other friend. He likes her since we were a child. Puppy love I guess. He used me as a bridge for them to get close to each other." I said and chuckled when I remember that time where he used me as a messenger and delivery girl for his Crush.

"He already told me that once, I thought you are that girl he was talking about before" He said and chuckled.

" No, of course not. That's just absurd" I said, disgusted at that thought.

"Seb is really not good making moves for the girl he likes." He said and shook his head in disbelief.

" You know, he has his reasons. Just like me, he's just afraid" I said and helped him in grilling.

"Afraid? Of what?" He asked and stopped what he was doing. He faced me and stared at me with his curious eyes.

"Afraid to fall in love again" I said and avoided his gaze.

"Why?"

"I don't have the right to tell you about that. Just let him open up to you" I said and smiled.

"How about you? Why are you afraid to fall inlove?"

"I don't want to get hurt or hurt someone." I said and flipped the barbeques.

"It's your choice if you want it to turn out like that" he said.

"No, In a relationship you need to choose. You'll get hurt at the end or you will broke someone else's heart"

"We don't know that"

"Well, I know that" I said and shrugged.

"Have you experienced it already?" He asked but I just smiled at him and decided to ignore his question.
