Chapter 18. Call 110

The commercial cocktail party officially begins. Nana organizes several fans to cheer for Linda.

As soon as Linda appears, she sees Nana and several fans around, clapping and cheering enthusiastically.

Linda walks to the stage in a glittering host's dress.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to today's commercial cocktail party organized by the Revitalizing International Limited company. Now let's welcome Mr. Ma, the organizer of this event, to make a speech."

She extends her white jade arms generously in an inviting gesture, with a confident smile on her face.

Mr. Ma comes on stage and Linda goes backstage.

Seeing her best friend's outstanding performance, Nana could not help but send a message to Linda: Sister, perform very well, you are the best.

The event goes very well. When the event comes to an end, Linda delivers another passionate closing speech from the podium.

"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to attend this party. This event has come to a successful conclusion, and we wish our organizer, the Revitalizing International Limited company, prosperous business and a rolling fortune. May our friendship last forever and I wish you all a happy evening. Thank you."

As the audience begin to leave and Linda is about to leave the stage, she notices a young man in the crowd waving at her.

Oh, my God, is that Tom, a friend I met in Korea? Linda quickly steps off the stage and walks towards him.

"Tom, long time no see, why are you here?" Linda greets Tom happily.

"Ha-ha, Linda, I miss you, that is the reason why I am here." Tom just starts joking with her.

Seeing Linda's eyes widen, Tom immediately changes his words: "Just kidding. Just a joke. The organizer invited me to this party, so here I am. How are you lately? "

"I'm fine."

The two old friends exchange pleasantries for a while, and Nana in the crowd wonders how they knew each other. Well, I would better not interrupt their conversation. Nana goes out quietly, prepares to wait for Linda in the car.

Linda talks with Tom for a while. They are ready to say goodbye and go home.

Linda crouches down and touches Tom's nostrils. It is so terrible, he doesn't breathe.

Linda shouts to the crowd: "Please help to call 110, we need an ambulance!"

She straightens Tom's body so that he lays flat on the ground, and unbuttons the underside of his neck.

She doesn't care about her image. Kneel directly next to Tom, with her right hand on top of her left and both hands pressing hard on Tom's chest. After about 30 times compressions, she opens Tom's mouth and gives him 2 times artificial respirations.

Beads of sweat stream down her face.

There are a middle-aged couple in the crowd who also know first aid and join Linda.

The couple direct the crowd: "Everyone disperse, go and open the windows and doors, and give the patient a little fresh air." 

The three of them go through five rounds of rescue together, and Tom finally comes to life. He breathes on his own, and he becomes conscious.

The crowd in the distance erupt in applause. Great, he's alive.

Soon the ambulance comes, and when Tom is carried away on a stretcher, Linda goes limp and sits down on the ground. She was so nervous just now.

Busy hosting the event, she did not even eat anything, and experienced a stressful rescue, she is really exhausted, begins to feel a little dizzy for low blood sugar.

When Kevin reaches the hall, he just witnesses that his beloved girl's hair is wet with sweat, stuck in front of her beautiful forehead, and she is tired sitting on the ground, with a weak smile on her face.

Kevin opens a milk candy and puts it in her mouth.

"All right, then. But I don't want you to see me in this mess." Linda collates the wet hair before the forehead, a little embarrassed to talk to Kevin.

"It doesn't matter, you are the most beautiful woman in my heart at any time. Can you walk?"

"No, I can't walk, I have no energy." Linda replies to him with puppy dog eyes.

"Okay, then I'll help you." Kevin directly holds her across his chest, then strides out the door.

The people nearby are shocked. A few minutes before a life-and-death rescue, now the romantic show, today's shows are really interesting.

Linda's heart is so sweet. Quietly leaning on the chest of Kevin, hearing his heart beating strongly, smelling the fragrance of his body, it is a wonderful moment.
