Demon's Training (2)

"Kuro, you want a new training...?"

"If possible, please yes..."

It was truly a weird thing to him. Just a few days ago before his Blackening, the jump rope's training results didn't seem too clear, but after the Blackening, he seemed to be able to achieve multiple big effects, and his mastery over leg's movement sharpness remained the same, or close with when he was in Blackening mode.

Even though jump rope still had an tremendous effect toward him, enchanting his leg's power, leaping strength, landing swiftness, after doing it so many times a day, he eventually got bored.

"Then, would you choose out of this 3 training tools?"

What she took out was, training ladder, stepping circle and... a shackle? That seems to use on leg?

Wait, why is all of them related to leg training? Is it because if my leg was quick, I can escape more easily? but, I am not interested in becoming 'Sanji' mentioned by 21.

Uh oh... Considering his personality and mine, we're basically the same character... I gotta remove my 'lucky opportunities grabbing' personality!

Thus, Kuro swore to himself. By the way, he chose the training ladder because it seemed easy. She may order something exaggerated by placing the circle 5 meters apart and say him to get inside that circle with just 1 step.

If we're talking about shackle, she may throw me to ocean with shackle on my arm and leg, and order me to swim to other lands. She'll definitely kill me without letting me die.

"Oh..."

She then looked at me with a little bit widened up eyes, she seemed surprised.

I couldn't help but become nervous.

"Then, let's begin. Tis' (yo) will demonstrate you."

Each steps ladder was separated between a space just enough to cover 1 leg. Inside that space, it could barely, or with her current feet size, it could fit her 4 feet and Kuro's.

"This is called Skip. This one is, Step. Then this one is Reverse."

Why's she telling me the training name?

By the way,

Skip: Enter the space between the ladder with 1 foot, then quickly insert your other foot. Whilst at the procession, quickly rise the first foot that entered the ladder, as if imitating the movement posture of 'skip'

Seems pretty easy.

Step: Simple technique where you only enter both your feet in the space between the ladder.

Reverse: As the name says, it's the reverse 'step' where you enter your foot the space in your back.

This... seems pretty easy? Why was she that surprised when I chose this?

"Understand?"

Kuro nodded to her as she finished demonstrating the training. Although of how aggressive she moved during the demonstration, the practice ladder was unmoved despite there was no nail or something to hold it down.

Kuro suddenly wondered.

'Would it stay the same even if she used her full power to step it in?'

'No way, her full speed can more or less surpass the speed of sound.'

Although it may be a wonders of millennium, it was interesting to imagine.

Kuro then, moved toward the starting line of practice ladders as Ayame opened her mouth.

"Then, for the first time, how about 'Stepping' from the start line to last line?"

"Using the fastest speed?"

"Umu."

She nodded answering Kuro's question.

"Ready~ Go."

Kuro's leg suddenly blurred, moving toward the space between the 2 ladders, at the mid-way, his rhythm started getting messy, and he finally missed inserting 1 feet in the space as he stepped out to the goal. Meanwhile, because of the momentum, he fell to the ground.

This, is disgusting! It restrains my movement! I want to move out but because I have to follow this 'stupid method' of stepping with 2 feet inside the space, I can't bring out my 100% speed!

and here I thought that because I trained jump rope, it would be easier.

"Then, 'Step' to the final line before going back to start line using 'Reverse' this time."

Ayame said after looking at Kuro's frustrated panting looks.

Despite not practicing that much, he was already this tired. Human's body truly worked weird.

Kuro nodded to her as he waited for Ayame.

"Go~"

a call with a little bit of laziness, and a little bit of supportive voice. Kuro started.

This time, he didn't start to quickly. First, he'll build his rhythm and speed it up.

as his expectations went well, the final speed was faster than the 1st time he tried. It all went well, excluding the 'Reverse'...

Because of "Reverse' not only have he had to stop Reverse's momentum, he also had to walk backward without looking at back. This not only messed up his rhythm, it also ruined his stepping. Finally, when he noticed it, he stepped his foot in the ladder.

The ladder, not the free space between it. The ending was expected. Not only did he fail miserably, he also fell backward, his back crashing the land.

"Haah~ Haah~ It's so frustrating!"

The eyes he used to rely so badly until now, was now useless because he can't see behind him. so, he had to feel it... no, rather, remember it.

What was it called? Muscle memory?

He had to memorise the place, or feel the space between the 2. Nevertheless, it was annoying.

"Do you want to proceed?"

Naturally, Ayame wasn't the aggressive one and wasn't the forceful person. So the truth is, she's actually a bad trainer because if the person she's training give up, she wouldn't force them.

But at least, she met the right person to train this time.

"Ye...s..."

"Okay... Go."

Kuro entered the ladder imitating the movement of skipping.

'Wait, how do I proceed from now here?'

At the instant his 1st Skip has undergone, his mind suddenly became messy, and his rhythm was ruined. He don't know how to step out this time.

He knew how to step in and imitate the movement of 'Skip' but, how do he get out from this process and repeat it to another process?

To skip in, he first had to insert his feet, then change it to another. As if bouncing it, he have to rise his first feet. Until that part, he understood it. But from now on, what do he need to do?

Kuro stopped for a second with his 1st leg still raised up in the air. Then, he finally moved. Regaining his feet back to the land, he step out to the next space with the different feet he used from before to step in to this space.

Kuro figured the theory. 'Skip's stepping process isn't actually 2 but 3. Step in, step in, rise foot, stop at the spot, the move to another space. Even though he understood the theory, it was really hard to apply it to body because his 'habit' to normally walk was there disturbing his brain.

This one was like 5 levels more difficulty than 'Step' as for 'Reverse,' it has its own difficulty and isn't actually at the same category with Step and Skip.
