Chapter 22 Explore

(Sathe's Pov)

It's a normal day, as usual, my siblings are doing great and the sun is bright and warm, a perfect day to go fishing and play games. I went out for a walk and feel the air.

I always am in school all the time, my first male friend, Nil is a kind and hardworking man with good ambitions, he seems so trustworthy, despite his appearance, he's normal and has freckles, I felt comfort in him, not in a romantic way, but a reliable person for me.

I wouldn't mind if I were interested in him.

Stop that me, your going overboard now. 

I stopped walking and found an abandoned temple, and there's a trace of magic in it, there are monsters there, I have to be careful, I walked cautiously, to be sure, that I will not make a sound to alarm them.

I just saw a little group of kobolds, there are two swordsmen, one archer, and one healer. I first fire at the healer kobold with [Firebolt] then cast a spell on the three kobolds with [Slow] so that'll not get to me as I prepared a spell for them called [Instant Death] which is what necromancer used, I'm an element master and I'm very good at all elements.

The kobolds are dead meaning I already defeated them, they have the same consciousness as humans, but still a monster, I feel sorry for those who are hunted down, reasoning to them is not going to work anyways.

As I went straight downstairs and try to discover where the magic came from, and there is none, I could have sworn there is magic there, guess it's my imagination?

I went back to the surface and discovered the magic trace I sense and it's that kid, wait.

I asked them. "Hello, how can I help you?" They back away from me because they don't even know me, I'm not going to rob them or anything, maybe try to make myself approachable?

I gave them a calming aura in me so that they'll feel at ease. "Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you." They are now normal and not scared of me anymore. 

"Anyways, my name is Sathe, and I'm from the academy where I'm trying to learn and fight for the sake of the empire, what's yours?" I gave a smile to them. and they answered.

"Manoaly, the name's Manoaly." Their name is Manoaly, what a strange name. I wondered how they got that name?

"What are you doing here at the abandoned temple?" Asked with curiosity.

"I don't know, I just came out of nowhere that's all, please I have no memories." They replied with a sad look.

That's really depressing, how could they become like this in-state, I love to help them but, when the king sends us to school, we are not allowed to save anyone because we are not fully prepared.

I know war is cruel, but still, I need to help this child so that they'll meet their parents.

 "Umm... do you remember what happen after you got separated from your parents?" "Parents? What parents? I don't have parents?" The child is lost and cannot answer that question.

"Sorry if I gave you the question that is hard to answer." "No it's fine, it's just that, it's my time interacting with someone for once in a while." The child answer with a surprised look on them.

"Oh, is that so?" Answered with a smile and glad because I didn't want to hurt their feelings.

"Do you mind if I come along with you?" Asked me if they are fine going with someone like me, but I don't know, what the hell I'll them along.

"Sure, but the king told us to not rescue someone, so you have to keep it a secret and-" Then suddenly he turned invisible. "Oh, I didn't expect you could make yourself unseen, alright then, maybe you can come along." They follow me wherever I go.

I arrived home at last, but they don't feel hungry or tired anything doesn't affect them at all, maybe it's alright if they stay in the house.

"Since I discovered that your a normal human as I thought you would be, maybe you can stay in  the house and try to make yourself unseen alright?" Asked and they nodded.

"Be careful now," I said to the child and came back home and it's really a lovely dinner we had, Leland, Halete, Calden, Atlin, and Fronar, we always stick together even if times are rough and it's a good thing since we always relied on each other, but we never replied our secrets, we always hid secrets, even if we tell the truth we experienced, it'll be a burden to them.

I don't want that, Calden approaches me and said. "Your back huh..." Not surprised as usual, I thought he would have show worrisome for going a bit far away.

"So, how was it finding a bunch of devilish handsome sexy men?" He smiled with a mischievous look. I somehow got annoyed and step on his foot.

"Ow! It hurts! What was that for!?" Shouted as he is pain, oh dear, did I really overdo it, not care anyways, I smiled at my brother. "Is it, because I thought there is a bug on your foot?" As he proceeded to scream in pain, how pitiful...

"Sathe, help us do the work in the house," Fronar asked and I replied. "Alright, I'll do it." With a smile, as I leave him and Fronar comforts him and said. "There, there. That's alright, it's always sibling fight so it's fine." "What do you mean, I was like hurt you know!?" I proceeded as these two have a chat with each other.

I helped prepared the table and Leland finished cooking, we started to eat and it was delicious, Leland is really blessed for cooking food like this, I wish he would cook other foods so that we will taste it.

"That was delicious, big brother!" Halete said with a smile as she is enjoying her food. "I'm glad you like it." He replied and smiled her back.

I really want this to last long. As we go back to our room and decided to let them come out. "You can reappear now." They appeared right in front of me, I went to ask them this.

"Do you want to read books?" I said to them and replied. "I would love to." I smiled and show them the book I'm reading. "You are going to love this book." After that, we became book buddies.
