22: Draco And Harry

"Trevor!"

Neville's shout startled Hermione. "What happened?" she asked.

"My Trevor is missing!" Neville exclaimed, looking anxious.

Hermione, confused, asked, "Who's Trevor?"

"Trevor is the toad I raised," Neville explained.

Hermione felt a bit uneasy at the thought of someone keeping a toad as a pet, but she didn't question it further. After all, wizards often had unusual pets, which fit perfectly with the Muggle stereotype of witches and wizards.

"Don't worry," Hermione said reassuringly. "Think carefully about when you last saw him."

Hermione was always eager to help, and seeing Neville so distressed, she immediately began searching for Trevor. Neville was their new friend, and the sight of him on the verge of tears prompted Ivan to join in the search as well.

If the object is visible, it behaves as a Flying Spell. The Summoning Charm cannot summon living creatures, but the Flying Spell doesn't have that restriction, as seen in Fantastic Beasts.

"Is that so?" Hermione asked, having never seen the advanced spellbook that contained the Spell. "Then what should we do?"

"Trevor…" Neville whimpered, looking even more lost and on the verge of tears.

Ivan didn't blame Neville. What more could you expect from an 11-year-old child?

Finally, when Neville's eyes started welling up with tears, Hermione couldn't stand it anymore. She decided to head out and ask other passengers if anyone had seen Neville's toad.

Ivan did not go, but stayed in the carriage to comfort Neville.
