The years after prince Nate's death

Loren was  in prison and ivan gave him nate's ring in the prison.

After a month,he was released in the night by the chief of imperial guards.

As he came out,the chief of imperial guard told him about the king's death and gave him the decree.

Loren opened it and closed it as he gave it back to him,"This is rubbish".

"General loren,the throne has been passed to you,it is not rubbish",the chief of imperial guard said.

Loren looked at him,"The king was murdered,wasn't he?.And you mimicked his hand writing,am I right".

"General,whether that is the case or not,you must still take over"he said.

"I said,I do not want the throne,I have never yeaned for the throne.I just want to die now!,I have lost everything!,what is there to live for?!",loren yelled in anger.

"His son is suppose to be the next in line for the throne but he is still little and lady vanessa doesn't know a single thing about politics.Prince karl can't take the throne,I don't trust his leadership,I wish not to see another devil on the throne.

That is why I need you to take over.You do not have to worry more, than half of the ministers have your back".

Loren hesitated,"I will do it and give the throne back to him when he is 16,if I live that long".

The imperial guard announced the king's death and delivered the king's decree.

Some ministers argued and prince karl argued that the decree is fake but nothing could be done He could only harbour hatred in his heart.

LOREN POV

I went to nate's grave and cried for a long time.It was my fault.If only I didn't go that night,he couldn't have used his body as a shield.

The coronation was done and I sent prince karl to the west province to be the governor and never return to the capital.

I visited princess kresna and she didn't wish to see him.Am sure she blames me.

I heard the rumors I heard I killed prince nate and the king but I didn't justify it.

I visited the crown princess.She was in her bedchamber holding her son in her arms.

I looked at her,"can I hold him?".

She hesitated before she gave the child to me.

I held him in my arms,He was strong in health and was beautiful"What is his name?".

"Loren".

"I haven't heard anyone call my name in along time,a I hear is, your majesty",I said as I held the child pinkie.

"His name is Loren",she said and I looked at her.

"Loren?",I asked.

"Yes,the late crown prince gave him the name.I liked the name so I didn't argue.He said his full name is Loren sorock-merve",she said.

I held back my tears as I looked at the child once again before I gave him back to his mother and left the residence.

Months passed by.

I was in my study reading reports.

"The crown princess is here",the chief of imperial guard announced.

She entered and bowed while she held loren in her arms.

"I was bored in my residence,I hope I do not disturb you,your majesty",she said.

"No you do not".

"Your majesty,great news,loren can walk today",she smiled as she dropped him down.

"Loren"I smiled as I called him.

He held his mother leg for support.

"Come"I smiled at him.

He smiled back as he tried to walk to me.He fell down and with a delighted face,he tried to walk again.

"You can do it,almost here",I said as I clapped.

I hugged him and carried him up as he walked to me,"You did well,loren,now let's go outside".

I visited nate grave everyday at the end of the day and told him about loren and things that happened in the day.

Kresna visited me sometimes but we didn't say anything to each other.After some time,she will bow and take her leave.It continued like that for years.

It was the year 1513.kresna was 18 while loren was 7 years old.She never stopped her training in swordsmanship.

She visited me again in my residence and we sat across each other.

"How are you",I asked to break the silence.

She broke in tears,"I miss him".

It was the first time we spoke to each other for the past seven years.

She told me how she want to go to the north province and form the white tigers army again.

I gave her the permission.

Loren entered as she was about to leave,"Huh,aunty?,greetings princess kresna".

She smiled at him.

It was the year 1521,I was 37.loren was 15.He looked more like nate,the only difference was his hair.His hair was dark brown like his mother's.

And also he talks too much but I never complained.Better to be lively.

I was walking with him after the palace court was dismissed.

Ivan met me and bowed with a boy beside him,"your majesty,your highness",he greeted.

"Ivan,long time no see".

I looked at loren,"He was your father's  personal guard,he is ivan".

He greeted him.

"Who is the boy beside you,your son?".

"Yes,your majesty.I was the prince nate personal guard and I hope for my son to serve as his son's protector".

"Very well then",I said.

"I will being his things today,am grateful,your majesty",he said and left.

Loren walked around ivan's son as he looked at him,"Introduce yourself".

"I am zeal,16 years old.live with my dad in the capital but am from the west province.Your highness,I swear to protect you till the end of my life.I'll block all the arrows for you.You won't be hurt with my______".

Loren stood as he folded his arms,"I only asked you to introduce yourself".

He looked at me,"I thought I was a talkative but this is worst.And besides ,who is protecting who,look at his body".

"Your highness,am not a talkative,I spent many nights memorizing this words and no need to worry about my body,I may look like this but i am stronger than a lion and my body is made of iron",zeal said confidently.

"Oh,is that so?",loren unsheathed his sword,"let me see if my sword will pass through your body".

Zeal eyes widened,"Your highness?".

"Better run",loren said and zeal started running while loren pursued him.

I passed the throne to loren when he was sixteen,which was the year 1522.

I continued to speak to nate. I told him how loren was work.zeal looked like he's been his personal guard for years,meanwhile,it's just a year because of loren's trouble.

I sat by nate's grave,"I wish you can see loren.He had grown.He's a good leader.its a few months since he became 18.

He's avoiding the discussion of marriage.Should I find a suitable girl for him? The ministers are pressuring him for an heir.

I talked to him for a longtime before I decided to sleep for a shirt while beside him

Loren didn't reply.

He got close to loren and put his fingers under loren's nostrils.

He kowtowed to him,"Your majesty!" He wailed.

It was the year 1524,king loren sorock  died at the age of 40.
