Staring at her father, Alice was at a loss for words. She had no wish to startle right now. All that surfaced was unkind emotions that were headed to recognition.

"But in the middle of saving lives, I actually ruined your entire life. The head witch appeared at that spot and seeing her associate witch dead, she was furious."
"Both I and your mother weren't left in any position to survive. That another witch actually spared our lives. But when she saw the baby bump on your mother's stomach, that was when she had given the curse to you."
