At this point, Alice's eyes had narrowed slightly. She felt her breath rising but she controlled, "A curse… was there anything done against me?"
"Yes, it was all because of us." King Vilas's tone started to subside with time. There was a tinge of hesitation crawling under his skin.
Despite his several attempts, King Vilas wasn't able to easily detect what caused the turmoil in his heart. The more he tried to suppress those feelings, the more the heartache increased.
Taking a deep breath, King Vilas told, "Your brother was already born. It was later when your mother fell pregnant with you. Almost two or more years after. But at that time, it was all fine."
"Our priest told us that the child will be special but we didn't pay attention. But your mother was always concerned. I never understood the reason behind her worry but she used to tell me that her connection with you is telling her understanding that something will actually come and cause a burden."
