Mom poked her head back inside. /"yes, yes yes, honey don't you dare say no/" we both waited patiently for dads answer. Not like he even had a choice with mom string at home like that.

/"Fine, if it will shut you two up ill meet the man/" dad wasn't even surprised when me and mom spent the next hour talking about this official meeting. I don't know what the best way for me would be to make this happen, but I also had to work it around his own busy schedule.

/"mom you didn't have to/" I said waiting for her at the door. She was adamant that I take some of her food over to Zach. Turns out Zach wanted to go see a movie tonight which would probably mean I would stay over at his.

She packed some slices of a cake into a box. It was a special caramel cake that we would often eat in our household. A recipe that mom brought from Philippines.
