FAREWELL...MY FRIENDS (4)

"When did this whole love affair start?" Rixa asked.

Scarlet cleared her throat and let out a sigh for what she was about to say.

"A month after I joined the Vallians" she replied.

"What?!!" Drey and Martha expressed their surprise.

"So, it has been going on for three months." Rixa said calmly.

"Yes" Scarlet said in whispers.

She was going crazy trying to figure out what Rixa was thinking about. When Rixa asked her the question, she noticed that her countenance changed. From someone who was eager to know to someone who had suddenly lost interest in it and it made her wonder what Rixa is up to.

"How did it all start?" Rixa asked yet again calmly.

Scarlet took a deep breath before she let it all out.

"I was coming to the base after meeting up with a friend when I accidentally bumped into him which I apologized for, bowing my head down before I continued going my way. He called me back and asked for my name and batch number. Once he figured out that he was my commandant,he said to me 'We will meet in the training field' before he walked away."

Scarlet took a pause to notice the effect of her words. Martha and Drey appeared intrigued and wanted to know more while Rixa's face was blank, giving off no emotion. It made Scarlet worry. Nevertheless, she decided to continue narrating the ordeal.

"After he said that to me, he walked away. I stood on the spot, scared to leave thinking that I might have put myself in trouble. I was in a dilemma, I didn't know what to do. Should I go after him or should I shove his words aside and continue my journey? I thought hard before I came to the conclusion to go after him. He was heading towards his office when I bumped into him, so I just decided to go there." Scarlet put out.

She took another pause to catch her breath for what she was about to say next. She could swear with her life that Rixa's face was about to change.

"When I arrived at his office, I took deep breaths before knocking on the door. I was quivering in fear of what he would do to me. He heard the knock from inside and told me to come in. I entered with fear and closed the door behind me. He asked me what I was doing in his office and immediately after I told him why I was there, I began to beg him profusely, even going down on my knees. I begged him not to report me to Ragnar Nova for misconduct and rudeness. I begged for his forgiveness. I begged him not to make life hard for me on the training field. I begged him so hard that I began to cry." Scarlet narrated and swallowed a lump in her throat. She was suddenly feeling teary.

"Wow…that must have been hard." Drey said after sighing out loud. His face could clearly depict the feeling of pity and support for Scarlet.

"I am sorry that happened." Martha added in support.

"Continue." Was all Rixa said calmly and somewhat politely.

Scarlet looked at her and her worry increased much more. She never knew why she had always been attached to the approval of Rixa. In all she did, she felt like she always needed Rixa's approval and support. Even when they were friends, she would do things just to impress Rixa and gain her support. Part of the reason why she joined the Vallians was because of Rixa. She wanted her to be proud of her, support her and love her. Scarlet is obsessed with Rixa's approval,love and support. Rixa is the only person she is always trying to please.

Scarlet, nonetheless, did as she was told. Even though her stomach was in knots and her palms were getting sweaty for what she was about to say next, she still continued the story.

"After profusely begging for what seemed like an eternity, he told me to get up and clean my face. He offered me a piece of cloth to do that. The cloth was soft and scenting, it also had something like an initial on it. I used it to clean my face before I returned it back. He asked me if I was okay and when I said yes, he told me to sit down on a seat so that we could talk properly. I complied and sat on the seat which he offered to me. He went ahead to say that he would only forgive me on one condition." Scarlet paused again and took a sip of water.

Their food had gotten cold and appetite had been lost. Interest now on a story with secrets.

"What is the condition?!" Martha asked impatiently.

"Wait let her finish drinking the water. She would continue the story. I also want to know too" Drey explained nicely.

Scarlet finished and dropped the cup before she stole a glance at Rixa. She could have sworn that she saw Rixa's face like that of someone interested in the story before it went back to the way it was. It uplifted her mood a bit, seeing that Rixa wanted to know.

"He told me that he would only forgive me on one condition. And the condition was that I have to…" Scarlet paused, hesitated and looked into the eyes of everyone present before she continued. It took a minute or two before she continued after prying into their heart and soul.

"The condition was that I have to kiss him." Scarlet let out.

"Kiss him?!!" Drey and Martha yelled out in unison.

"That is misuse and abuse of power. It could also be sexual assault if I know more about the story. He should be punished for what he did." Rixa said with her interest shooting towards the sky.

"Go on." She added.

"Okay" Scarlet said before she carried on. She was beginning to worry that she might have landed commandant Ryzza in big trouble.

"I was totally skeptical about it and highly against it. I asked if there was another way else and he said no. I begged him to please reconsider but he told me that if I didn't do it then I should just leave and await my punishment. I was scared and with me being naive, I had to do it. I kissed him and he reciprocated back. One thing led to another and we ended up having sex in his office before I left." Scarlet said.

Drey and Martha couldn't hold back their surprise and let out a gasp of shock.

"Is that all?" Rixa asked.

"No" Scarlet responded.

"Then carry on. This time, I want to hear the whole thing without you pausing. Say everything at once." Rixa said.

"Okay, I'll do just that." Scarlet replied and continued.
