HIS EUPHORIA

Euphoria has known nothing but to flee all her life. Flee from the predator forcing her to be mated to him. Flee from who she truly is. Powerful beyond any one's imagination, she is the target of many power hungry prowlers and the prisoner of one of the most powerful. Ares Trent is a cursed man. He is often referred to as silent and deadly. He is a man who prefers his solace to anything else. When he finds Euphoria at the bank of the river, he feels the mate pull calling to him. But promptly, he ignores it and her. Now faced with a man, aloof and rude, Euphoria feels safe, even as he wants nothing to do with her. Ares refuses to let nature take course but nothing is stronger than fate. Perhaps Euphoria is truly going to sneak through the walls he's built up and be the source of his euphoria.

Prologue

EUPHORIA

The air was crisp around her as she took deep desperate breaths, the hard grass piercing against her skin as she ran through the woods.

They were gaining up to her and she could hear them so close behind her.

She was about to take a sharp turn at the right when a sharp silver Arrow flew past her grazing her hand making her stop due to the burning pain.

"Not so fast now are we Sunshine ?" Bane said walking up to me with a stupid smirk on his extremely stupid face

"I must say, I'm impressed.... You've never caught me this fast in all your three years of chasing me" I told him as I tried to stand. The silver arrow must have had a little bit of wolfsbane in it cause the pain seemed unending

"Well, what can I say" he said grinning then he yanked me up making me groan

"Enough chit chat, let's go " he said dragging me with him. It has always been like this, he'll chase me, and catch me then take me back to his pack and try to make me his Luna and then I'll escape again. It's always an unending circle.

I looked at the other warriors and noticed the space they were leaving between each other. If I try to run in their midst, I'll probably not make it so I have to try a different method. Bane's grip on my hand was still very tight and by the looks of things, he wasn't going to let go easily. I would've shifted but the wolfsbane still had a little effect on me so I guess I'll have to wait a little bit.

We walked for hours and it was already getting dark. Perfectly what I needed to escape. I stared at the moon and silently prayed to the goddess that my escape plan was going to be smooth and after my silent prayer, I closed my eyes and sucked in a deep breath and by the time I opened it, I could feel the shift in the air. Without wasting any more time, I shifted into my wolf and immediately I let Rye my wolf take over cause she had been restless throughout and letting her out was the best option.

I watched as Bane and his warriors shifted too but by then I was already sprinting deep into the forest. I wasn't really familiar with this part or the woods but I ran nonetheless.

After running miles, I was finally slowing down when I caught a whiff of the sweetest scent ever. Trees and Mint with a touch of rain, just like the forest.

I wanted to go far away from the scent but I couldn't help it and soon I found myself by the river and there he was standing in all of his glory. He turned almost immediately and that's when I saw him. His dark obsidian eyes staring at me with utmost confusion. He looked like he was about to walk up to me but before Rye could do anything crazy, I jumped into the river.
