Chapter 169- First Anniversary!

Teja POV:-

Today is 1 December, our first wedding anniversary.

I'm eight-month pregnant, and my delivery time is after 25 days.

Everyone is happy today, and our family is going to plan another family day.

As my condition is not good, Akaash decided not to hold a grand party.

These days walking is not easy for me.

Let alone other physical activities.

I took leave from the hospital from preventing any problems.

Hannah is handling everything these days as Akaash took off his days with me too.

Our family is pampering me too much.

Today, our family held our first wedding anniversary and baby shower.

They didn't let me out today as they were planning a surprise for me.

They even locked Akaash with me.

So, he won't dare to spoil their gift.

Today, Akaash and I are enjoying our private time alone.

Right now, I am sitting on the bed while Akaash put his head on my lap.

I am playing with his hair.

" Life is unbelievable, right Akaash? Who would have thought we got married that when we completed our first year, I was carrying our children in my womb.

Also, we were living such a happy life. " I said and sighed in relief.

Akaash held my hand, and I looked at him.

I am happy to be with you. " Akaash confessed, and I smiled.

" I am glad you didn't stop loving me. I am so lucky. I wish on this day, We live our whole life together like this. " I confessed, and he smiled.

He sat on the bed and kissed my lips gently.

" That's what I want to wish too. " Akaash replied, and we smiled.

" How about we watch something? It's been five years since we last saw a movie together. " I asked, and he nodded.

" What do you want to watch? " Akaash asked, and I thought about it.

" How about a soft movie? " I asked, and he nodded.

" What about "Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi"? " Akaash asked, and I nodded immediately.

After all, as an Indian, I love that movie so much.

It's so soft, and the songs are amazing and soft.

We enjoyed the whole day watching movies and some board games we bought for Vihaan like ludo, Carrom, and Chess.

We didn't even realize when the day turned into evening.

Vihaan came into our room when Akaash and I were playing the last turn of ludo.

" Mumma! Daddy! It's for you both to get ready. Grandmas will come here soon. " Vihaan said, and we nodded.

We left our game, and I went to the bathroom to change my dress.

I wore a royal peach frock suit and salwar.

These days, I am wearing more Indian suits as they are more comfortable.

I came out and went in front of the mirror.

I looked at myself and decided to wear my tika and just kohl.

" You are looking beautiful, my love. " Akaash said, and I blushed.

I looked at him. He wore a peach shirt and black pants.

He looks handsome.

" You look handsome, my dear husband. " I confessed and winked at him.

He looked at me with shock for a minute, then smiled.

Akaash's mom came into the room and looked at us with a smile.

" You are looking gorgeous. Let's come, Teja. Everyone is waiting for you.

We have decided to do the baby shower first. " Mummy Ji said excitedly, and we chuckled.

We went to the hall, and I gasped to see the decorations.

Akaash's mother helped me sit on the couch.

I saw everyone had gifts in their hands.

First, Akaash's parents came.

Akaash's mom did the tika and put the chunar on my head.

I held the corner of the chunar, and she started to put the sweets, fruits, dry fruits, and cash on my pallu.

I took everything and lowered my head in respect.

At the last, she gifted me some jewelry sets, which were packed in boxes.

She helped me put them on the side and give me two little boxes and said, " Open them. "

I opened the boxes and gasped.

She bought anklets and bracelets for my children.

I smiled and hugged her.

" Thank you, mummy Ji. " I said and smiled.

I broke the hug, and she smiled.

Papa Ji gifted me two towels red and blue in color, which any children can wear.

Then my family came forward.

Mom gifted me a baby product set.

Dad bought me in front of the big box and told me to remove the ribbon.

I did and saw two beautiful cribs.

One is silver in color while the other one is gold.

The bells were attached to them.

Those cribs are beautiful.

I sat on the couch again.

And everyone gave me something.

In the end, Akaash and I looked at each other.

I called Hannah, and she entered the hall.

" Happy Anniversary, boss and sir. " Hannah wished us and gave me my gift.

" Thank you, Hannah! I will give you a bonus for all this time of your hard work. " I said, and she looked at me excitedly.

" Thank you, boss. I need to leave now. I have some urgent work. " She said and left hurriedly.

I looked at Akaash and raised the gift in front of him.

" Opened it, Akaash. " I said, and he opened the box.

He looked at the box with shock and took out the cufflinks I gifted him.

Yes, I gifted him cufflinks.

" They are looking familiar. " Akaash mumbled.

" Akaash, remember when we were at the white coat ceremony, I bumped into you by accident, and you lost one cufflink at that moment.

You threw the other one, and I picked it up secretly and made it, especially for you. " I said and showed him the cufflink.

These cufflinks are in a red rose flower shape, and they are beautiful.

Akaash smiled and hugged me.

" Thank you for such an amazing gift. " Akaash said, and I smiled.

Akaash went to the kitchen and came back with a red rose.

I smiled when I saw my favorite red rose.

He gave me the red rose and said, " Happy Anniversary, my wife. "

I took it and smelled the fragrance.

Then Akaash took out a box and gave it to me.

I opened it and found a bracelet.

It's a beautiful bracelet.

The diamonds looked like stars.

The pearls are royal blue which enhances the beauty of the bracelet.

" Alright! Love birds, it's time for the cake cutting. " Kavita said, and we blushed.

Akaash and I cut the cake with Vihaan, who was giggling.

Everyone congratulated us.

Akaash looked at me and said, " Teja, I need to show you something. "

Suddenly, I felt something strange.

I looked at him with shock.

" Akaash! " I growled.

" Teja! What happened? " Akaash asked with concern.

" I think... my water broke. " I confessed, and he looked at me with shock.
