Chapter 8 ( Of All Troubles)

Alicia's eyes widened but after a short while she dropped her head as her cheeks was really red.

She fiddled with one of the rose petals that covered the surface of the water nervously.

She took in a deep breath before looking at the man who was still staring at her intently without uttering any words.

" Yeah, well since it's my virginity, I can decide not to ask you to take any responsibility. Right?"

She asked defiantly with her nose raised in the air as high as it could go.

Because Luca was standing fully upright now and it was hard to see his expression from the tub.

He nodded in reply " of course you can, but have you thought about the two people who set us up? Do you think they would give up after what has happened?....... Let's not waste our time arguing"

Alicia bit her lips, she knew he was right. Her aunt wasn't going to give up at the stage things were now.

But she just didn't want to be with the ' jackass'

So she insisted, shaking her head " I have to insist Mr Gray" she replied while almost straining her neck to look at him in the eye from her sitting position.

They had a stare down contest for minutes, then Luca broke it " fine " he answered in a cool tone

He turned and went out of the bathroom immediately.

" Hey" Alicia tried to stop him but he was already gone

She gritted her teeth as she thought of her torn pieces of clothes that was lying in the room he could have at least gotten her a towel.

" Jackass " she hissed in anger, this was one of the reason she hated him, he's just too inhumane.

She looked around the toilet but there wasn't really any article of cloth.

She sighed in frustration and cursed Luca loudly as she climbed out of the bath tub to lock the bathroom door first.

She winced after every step she took but was able to walk normally after a few steps, holding in her discomfort. Such little pain can't hold her back.

" Of all troubles, why did I have to get into his? " She shouted in anger and pulled at her already dishevelled hair.

Luca dressed up in a dark blue suit with a white shirt underneath. He went out of his room and saw everywhere was already bustling, it was almost evening time which was scheduled for his grandmother's birthday.

He looked at his wrist watch, he spent more than seven hours in the room with ' that woman ' he had an amused and surprised expression, then he suddenly frowned as he thought of something.

He dialed his assistant number " get me an evening gown, her waist should be about 38.6 inches and about 6 ft 1 tall.....color?.... Black"

He hung up after making his order clear " you " he pointed at a maid. Who scurried towards him with a frightened look, none of them was use to his interaction, as they all knew him as aloof.

He never bothered any of the servants, so Martha the maid he summoned was really frightened thinking of all possibilities of why he could have called her.

" Ye....yes sir " she answered as she tried hard to avoid his gaze

" Go to my bathroom and take care of the lady's needs"

He said in a " not so low tone " intentionally for the butler who has been lingering around to hear .

When the old man heard Luca's instruction he straightened his back with effort and had a sly and surprised glint in his and scurried away hurriedly to report his findings to the old eager madam.

The maid's eyes went wide when she head his instruction and couldn't resist raising her head to confirm if she heard his words clearly but quickly lowered it unable to hide her surprise...
