Chapter Seven

I stumbled. How did this women know my name?

Mrs. Fall brought her hands to her face.

"Oh lord, it's really you. You have your father's eyes," she sniffed, tearing up.

I felt paralyzed. How did this women know my parents? I didn't even know them. For as long as I remember, it was just me and Devin. He said they had committed suicide when they realized they gave birth to a 'horrible' daughter like me. At that time, I believed him. But now, I'm starting my question my entire life. Was all of it just a lie?

Daniel and Huntress looked confused too, which confused me even more, since I thought they would know something about this.

Mrs. Fall, seeing our puzzled expressions, sat down with a heavy sigh.

"I suggest you all sit down. It's gonna be a long story,"

Hunter's POV

I looked at the picture of a girl with black hair and a single white stripe like me. She was about five-years old, and had thrown her arm around my shoulder. We were both grinning, baseball caps pulled low over our faces so you couldn't see our eyes, with me holding a baseball bat. Hovering over the girl, was a women with bright white hair, with pure black eyes. A hand on my shoulder, was a man with dark black hair and white eyes with a black lightening design for his pupils. The four people were all laughing. My family. The picture's edges were yellowed with age.

I sighed. Putting the picture back in my wallet, I buried my face in my face.

Going to the new school to look for my mate was just a cover story. We were actually trying to find my long lost little sister. We had been for 7 years now. She was abducted at the age of 5. Only a few hours after this picture was taken, in fact. She was my precious little sister. She was only five. And she sure did look a lot like Thana.
