Pull My Devil Trigger

Human World, Japan, Kuoh.

On the outskirts of the town, Rias and her peerage, along with Irina, were confronting the former exorcist, Yaegaki Masaomi after his attempted murder of Irina's father, Shidou Touji.

"Everyone, get ready." Rias said as she fell to the back of her group's formation.

While the Gremory peerage arranged themselves to intercept Masaomi, who was charging towards them in a bid to re-enter the town, Yuuto was the first to step forward.

"[Balance Break]." Yuuto said as a sword with a black and white blade appeared in his hand. "[Sword of the Betrayer]."

Once his sword manifested, Yuuto put the speed from his [Knight] piece to use. Charging forward, Yuuto swung his sword, which was blocked by Masaomi's Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi.

*Clang!*

Unlike Irina, when Yuuto met swords with Masaomi, he was neither pushed back nor was his sword destroyed. Instead, they both found their momentum coming to a complete stop. Just as both swordsmen paused, Koneko appeared on Masaomi's right with her fist reeled back and ready to land a devastating punch on Masaomi's ribs.

Noticing the incoming blow, Masaomi injected some of his magic power into the sword in his hand. Then, a serpentine dragon head shot out of the blade and intercepted Koneko's fist. After that, it tried to bite her. Luckily, she had heard Irina's explanation of how dangerous the fangs of this dragon head were. So, she quickly distanced herself from Masaomi.

Unfortunately, the dragon head had no intention of letting her go. So, it began to follow her with its neck elongating.

*Crack!*

Just as the dragon head had finally got close enough to bite her, Koneko was saved when a flash and a bolt of lightning landed on the dragon's head, causing it to dissipate.

"[Holy Lightning]." Akeno said, holding her hand up toward the sky.

"Thanks, Akeno-Senpai." Koneko said as she charged back towards Masaomi.

At the same time, Issei rose from the shadow that was created on the opposite side of Masaomi due to the bright flash. Then, he thrust his two clawed fists at Masaomi's side. Reacting quickly, Masaomi used Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi to deflect one of Issei's gauntlets while he kicked out at the other, successfully avoiding the simultaneous incoming attacks.

In the next moment, Masaomi parried another incoming slash from Yuuto, while simultaneously blocking a slash from Xenovia who was wielding Durandal, with two dragon heads. Unfortunately, the dragon heads were quickly cut down by the destructive holy aura Durandal radiated. However, it bought enough time for Masaomi to once again disengage from Yuuto and jump back, avoiding Xenovia's slash.

Just after landing, Masaomi felt his whole body growing heavy, an effect of Mio's [Gravity Magic]. A moment later, Maria appeared in front of him and threw a right hook at his solar plexus Although his movements were greatly slowed, Masaomi, after circulating his magic power through his body, was able to block the punch with the flat of his blade, though he was sent flying backwards due to the force behind the blow.

"You damn brats!" Masaomi shouted in rage. "For getting in the way of my revenge, you'll have to die!"

Just as gravity was about to pull him back to the ground, Masaomi felt everything around him stop. When he looked around, he saw a young girl, no, a young boy wearing female clothing, staring at him with glowing red eyes.

Although Gasper's [Sacred Gear], [Forbidden Balor View] does not generally work well on holy sword wielders, Gasper found a way around it by stopping the time of the air around the holy sword wielder. So, even though they were not stopped completely, it took quite the effort to move through the stopped molecules in the air.

"[Burst Destruction]." Rias said as she fired several orbs of the [Power of Destruction] at the immobilized Masaomi.

Knowing that he would not have enough time to dodge the incoming attack, Masaomi materialized all eight of Yamata no Orochi's heads. Then, he wrapped them around himself like a cocoon. After that, Rias' first orb of the [Power of Destruction] landed on this makeshift defense and expanded to about double its original size of a softball. Then, the next softball sized orb landed on the first and doubled it once again. This process continued until the ninth and final orb landed and completed the attack.

Once Rias attack concluded, Gasper stopped his [Sacred Gear]. Then, a smoking heap fell from the sky as Rias' attack dissipated.

*Boom!*

Debris was kicked up when the smoking figure, Masaomi made contact with the ground.

"Did we get him?" Gasper asked.

"Dude, you just chanted a revival spell, nice." Issei said while shaking his head.

"Huh?" Gasper exclaimed in confusion.

Before anyone could explain what Issei meant, a peak ultimate-rank aura radiated from where Masaomi landed. However, unlike before, this aura was draconic in nature. Then, the cloud of debris was blown away and they could see Masaomi's figure. Other than the tattered clothing and burns on his skin, Masaomi's figure had not changed much. There was a major change, however, and that was the fact that his right arm had been replaced by the blade of Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi.

"Did he fuse with the sword?" Akeno asked with a concerned expression on her face.

"It looks like it." Rias said. "Everyone, don't drop your guard."

"Ahahahahaha!" A creepy voice laughed out from Masaomi's mouth. "Finally, this body is mine. Ahh, it feels good to have a body again. I really should thank you, young devils. And what better way to thank you than killing you all swiftly?"

An instant later, Yamata no Orochi, who seemed to have taken control of Masaomi's body, appeared in front of Koneko with his bladed arm slashing down at her. Unfortunately, Koneko was unable to react to the much higher speed.

"Koneko! No~~~~~!" Rias screamed.

*Clang!*

*Ban!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

Lucky for Koneko, a large Western sword appeared between her and Yamata no Orochi. Then, the Evi Dragon was forced leap away when several bullets peppered the spot in which he was just standing.

After not feeling the pain of a holy sword slash, Koneko looked up and saw a tall white haired man with ice blue eyes holding out his sword, Rebellion, in the path that Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi had just taken.

"Dante, thank you." Koneko said in a relieved tone.

"No problem, Kitty Cat." Dante said with a smile and tried to pat Koneko on her head.

"Don't call me that." Koneko said as she swept Dante's hand away. "Only James-Nii can call me that."

"Dante, stop fooling around." Lady said as she aimed her pistol at Yamata no Orochi.

"Why shouldn't I?" Dante asked. "It's not like we're even getting paid much for this job."

"Issei, is this why you brought them here?" Maria asked.

"Yeah, I knew that Devil May Cry was on the south side of the town." Issei said with a nod. "So, I thought that we would be able to get some back up if we needed it."

"That was surprisingly smart for a perverted idiot like you." Mio said while crossing her arms under her breasts.

Koneko nodded in agreement while shooting a disdainful glare at Issei who stared at Mio's breasts for a moment before shaking his head and focusing back on Yamata no Orochi.

"Anyway, I think you all should leave this to me." Dante said while resting his sword on his shoulder. "I'm not trying to downplay your abilities, but this guy is above your pay grade."

Although it hurt to admit it, Dante was, for once, not just being a sarcastic ass. With Yamata no Orochi at the peak of ultimate-rank, while the strongest member of Rias' peerage, Rias herself, was only at the peak of the intermediate-level of the ultimate-rank. Although it would be possible for Rias and her peerage to come out victorious, the chances of some of them getting severely injured or even killed was high.

"*Sigh* Fine." Rias said in a frustrated tone. "We'll provide back up if we can."

"Thanks, but there's really no need for that." Dante said with a confident smile on his face.

Then, Dante began to walk forward towards Yamata no Orochi. As he did, he reached into his coat with his free hand. When he pulled his hand out of his coat, Dante was holding a small music player.

"Let's rock." Dante said before pressing the play button on the music player.

Once the music started playing, Dante activated his blood line ability, [Devil Trigger]. Then, his eyes turned red, and cracks appeared on his arms and legs. Then, once his transformation was complete, Dante shot forward with rebellion pulled back ready to be stabbed forward. When he was within range, Dante shot Rebellion forward, only to have it blocked by Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi. However, instead of pulling back for another attack, Dante continued to stab forward in a rapid-fire manner.

When his flurry of stabs came to an end, Dante swung Rebellion upward, knocking Yamata no Orochi into the air. Then, Dante followed him. In midair, Dante slashed yamata no Orochi nearly twenty times in the span of three seconds. All the while, he seemingly teleported around the suspended foe before dropping a heel kick that sent the Evil Dragon back to the ground.

*Boom!*

*Bang!* *Bang!* * Bang!*

After Yamata no Orochi crashed into the ground, and using the momentum of his kick, Dante flipped himself upside down, sheathed his sword on his back, drew his pistols, and began to spin as he rapidly pulled Ebony and Ivory's triggers.

"Gah!" Yamata no Orochi shouted in pain as he was shot. "I'm going to kill you!"

"Haha!" Dante laughed as he holstered his pistols and spread his wings.

Dante then shot down toward the ground, drawing Rebellion once again along the way. Then, when he was close enough, he swung his sword with all his might.

*Boom!*

Due to the impact, a mushroom shaped cloud of dust was shot up into the sky.

"Damn, was Dante always this strong?" issei asked while covering his eyes from the debris.

"Well, he is the Son of Sparda." Rias said, also covering her eyes. "And this is the first time we've ever seen him use his [Devil Trigger]."

"{Bang, bang, bang! Pull my devil trigger!}"

The lyrics of the song Dante played rang out as Dante, back in his human form, walked out of the dust cloud. Then, he pressed the pause button and stopped the music.

"*Sigh*, That was some seriously stylish slaying." Dante said in a tone that suggested he was feeling refreshed.

"You're so over the top." Lady said while rolling her eyes.

A few moments later, the dust cloud settled. When it did, the group could see the outcome of Dante's last attack. Laying in the bottom of a crater was Masaomi, unconscious, with the broken Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi lying next to him.

"You managed to break the sword?" Irina asked in awe.

"Yeah, no biggie." Dante said with a smile.

Once again, lady rolled her eyes at Dante. However, because it was Christmas, she decided not to rain on his parade again. However, before they could continue, a tall, silver-haired, middle-aged man appeared next to Masaomi.

"Who is that?" Xenovia asked while she took her stance again.

"Is that the son of the original Lucifer?" Rias asked.

Hearing that, the rest of the group also went on alert.

"*Sigh* I wasted all that time resurrecting you." Rizevim said. "And this is what I get for it? I should have let the eight headed snake have control from the beginning."

Once he finished speaking, Rizevim raised his hand and pointed his palm toward Masaomi.

"Oh, well, let's return you to where you should be." Rizevim said as demonic power began amassing on his palm.

Before Rizevim could fire his attack, which was strong enough to wipe the entirety of Kuoh off the map, his wrist was grabbed. Then, his whole arm was forced upward just as he fired his attack.

"So, the son of Hades' abomination is here already, huh?" Rizevim said with a nihilistic smile on his face.

"*Sigh* Is it really a good decision to give me another reason to kick your ass, Rizevim?" James asked with a battle hungry smile on his face.
