"Let's begin this historical meeting!"
Erik Said, announcing to the three delegations the official start of the meeting. The meeting went on for five hours in total, where small thirty minutes pauses were made for the participants to rest a little and to restock their energies with tea, coffee, and snacks every two hours.
During it, the three factions, from the start, agreed that they wanted peace. The past wars had hit them with too much strength and nobody wanted to see a new great war repeating itself. With that common goal between them, they started to talk of ways to get there with the current setting of the world. Agreements were made and commitments were taken from all parts.
As the meeting was coming to an end, they started to talk about the inclusion of other pantheons in their peace agreement. Names were said, and reasons were given for the inclusion of the names. Pantheons like the Nordics, Greeks, and Shinto were just some of a few that were talked about. Erik's opinion on some of the matters discussed had been asked various times during the meeting. He, as a neutral third party, had a different vision of everything said and honestly contributed to it with his sincere opinion on the matter asked. Even Issei Hyoudou and Vali's opinions were asked on some points. With the two of them being the hosts of the two Heavenly Dragons of this generation, it would only be just a matter of time for their strength to reach a height that could not be ignored.
"Well, I think that this concludes this meeting."
Erik said while getting up from his seat. He then looked at Calypso, his assistant for the day, and smiled.
"Calypso, dear, if you could, please, prepare the parting gifts?"
Erik asked Calypso, who smiled back at her husband.
"Of course, dear. It will just take an instant."
Calypso said and walked to one of the corners of the room, where a strange machine with a computer station was standing.
"Now, before we all go back home to digest everything that has been said in the meeting, does anyone have anything to add?"
Erik asked them, implying that anything said now would not be centered on peace.
"Ah yes, I have."
Azazel said while de-wrinkling his blazer with some smart use of magic.
"It was just that I was expecting some attack of sorts during the meeting by the people that don't want to see the peace happening. But since it didn't happen, I say that it is good for us."
Azazel commented while giving the other his traditional smile. The other two leaders nodded their heads in agreement with Azazel's words. They too had expected some sort of interruption during the meeting.
"I agree with Azazel. This meeting would be a perfect target to attack and make a point."
Sirzechs Lucifer added. At that, Michael noticed the small smirk that had appeared on Erik's face.
"You seem to know something about this lack of attack that we three expected, Erik. Is there anything that you would like to say to us?"
Michael said and asked Erik, whose smirk intensified. He now looked like the image of the cat that caught the canary.
"About the lack of attacks. It is not that there were no attacks at the meeting. It is just that all of them had been securely held back by the wards around the place."
Erik said to them.
"And of how many attacks are we talking about here?"
Azazel asked Erik with curiosity brimming in his voice. The Fallen Angel's senses were very sharp, mostly due to his passion for experimenting and research, and he had not felt a single fluctuation in the energies around during the entire meeting.
"Well. The first attack came after the first half-hour of the meeting. They then continued coming with intervals of about fifteen minutes between each of them and stopped about an hour ago. So, in total, we had about… fourteen attacks on the wards."
Erik said to the group, shocking them all.
"Fourteen attacks? And how come we didn't hear or feel anything?"
Griselda Quarta asked from behind the delegation of Heaven.
"Because the wards had done the job that they were designed to do, of course."
Erik simply said, replying to Griselda Quarta's question.
"But then, there must have been single individuals that attacked separately?"
Griselda Quarta continued asking, making Erik shake his head negatively. At that, Calypso came back while holding a small basket. Inside it was a stack of papers and a collection of about nine crystals.
"Ah, good timing as always, Calypso. Asia, Akeno, Rias. If you please, could you come here and deliver some of these to each delegation?"
Erik said to his wife and turned to face the contents of the basket while calling for the guides of each delegation. The three girls quickly walked to the center, where Erik was standing, and were given a set of three crystals and four stacks of clipped papers each.
"Now, ladies and gentlemen, the crystals contain a magical video recording of this meeting for you all to see again or share it with other people from your factions as you please."
Erik started saying as the three girls delivered what was asked to the delegations. The members of it nodded their heads at that. A magical recording of the meeting would be very useful when remembering what had been agreed or said during the five hours-long meeting.
"Now, while you all will think that the magical recording is very useful, the good part is what the clipped stack of papers had to say to us. In it, you will encounter a list with the names and affiliations of each person that had attacked this place today."
Erik said to them all, who had already started to go through the pages-long list of names. In it were lots of names of people that were wanted for one reason or another.
"How could you get such detailed information in such a small time frame, Erik?"
Sirzechs Lucifer asked while going through the list. Some of the names there were people that were wanted by the Underworld for hundreds of years.
"Because they all had said their names and affiliations when asked, of course."
Erik replied simply, making Satan Lucifer deadpan at the answer.
"Of course, not everyone was cooperative with the questions."
Erik said and received some hard looks from the Angels.
"And so, my people had to make use of some truth potion to compel them to answer."
Erik added while the looks that the Angels were giving him went back to normal. They had thought that Erik's people had tortured the prisoners to obtain the information desired and, even with them being enemies, torture was not something that they were cool with. So, when Erik said that they had used truth potions, they were cool with it.
"The truth is, that protecting the place is not the only thing that the wards do. At first, they will only block the intruder's passage. If the person tries to force their way in, their intentions to the people inside, in this case, us, would be judged and an action would be taken. If the person had no ill intentions, They would be warned to wait while some of my people would be warned to talk with them personally. Now, if they do have ill intentions, A third ward would immediately knock them out while binding their movements. With the 'threat' neutralized, a fourth ward would come into action to transport the unconscious person to an empty holding cell. Then, it was just a question of time until they were rounded up by my people. The result of it is the list of names that you all see in your hands."
Erik said, finishing his explanation about the security system that he had put up.
"And what do you intend to do with all these people?"
Grayfia Lucifuge asked Erik. Some of the names there were of people considered highly dangerous and were wanted since the end of the Devils' Civil War. Mainly the two descendants of the Old Satan's Leviathan and Asmodeus, Katerea and Creuserey respectively. The two of them, together with Shalba Belzebub were known to be the leaders of a resistance movement that wanted the old system back with them in the power, of course. Erik just shrugged at that question.
"Personally, I would just ask my people to get rid of them. But it is of my understanding that a lot of the people in this list are wanted by your factions for something or other, so you all have just to make another list with the list of names of the people that you want to take care of personally and my people will arrange a delivery meeting or something like that."
Erik said, explaining what could be done. If only his opinion mattered, Erik would just get rid of the worst of the bunch while offering a way to pay for their crimes to the others. But he understood that some of the people there, like the two descendants of the Old Satans, needed to be seen imprisoned by the people that they had wronged and justice be made just after that. Or vengeance, whichever fits their taste better.
"And what will happen to those whose names are not in any of the three lists?"
Gabriels asked Erik out of curiosity.
"They will, under the effects of a potent truth serum, be asked to list their crimes, and, in accord with each person, actions will be taken."
Erik replied to the kind Angel, who nodded her head in agreement with his decision. Gabriel was all in favor of pardoning people that repented of their sins, but she understood that to pardon someone, that person should be sorry for what they had done. There was no use in letting go of someone who would do the same as before in the first opportunity that they had.
With everyone in accordance and with their lists of names safely stored for a better review later, the three delegations were escorted back to the designated transportation point by Erik, Calypso, and their guides. After some goodbyes and the promise to contact Erik again when they were ready to sign the official documents of the treaty, group by group went back to their headquarters, leaving behind, in the school, two groups of tired Kings and their Peerages. Since it was Sunday, both groups still had some job to do before having their well-earned rest. After all, the school needed to be ready to receive the students on Monday. While the teenagers went back to put things in order, Erik and Calypso, together with Asia, went back to the Nexus for the day. The wards around the school's ground would stay in place until Erik found it safe to put them down.
