Orphelia's POV
The grey orbs stare into my emerald ones as I sit there, dumbstruck.
"Fuck no." I clip before reaching for the door to get out.
"I think not," is all he says as he clicks the lock.
"I SWEAR TO GOD JAMIE, IF YOU DON"T LET US OUT NOW I'M CALLING THE POLICE!" I all but scream.
"Now, now, let's all just take a deep breath. In, out." Frankie stared me down as she said this, "Lets all just calm down and talk this out hmm? Say, Jamie," she turned her attention to our driver, "do you possibly think you could… I don't know.. Like let us out of your fucking car before we call the police on you?" She gave him a sweet, yet threatening smile.
"Nah, I'll pass. And just so you know, calling the police won't work, Andriano already basically has full control over the police so…"
I let out an excited exhale when I finally pry the lock up and open the door. Before Frankie and even respond, I grab her by the arm, and race off, leaving our luggage in the trunk, with only our clutches and some small shopping bags.
"HEY! WAIT!... LIA!" He exclaims as he rushes to slam the door shut and rushing to drive after us.
"This is sooo not how I expected Vegas to be," Frankie whines, "why can't it just be normal!"
"It can, we just gotta get off their radar," I commented, searching for the nearest store we could hide out in.

After finally losing Jamie, we settled down in a cute little cafe, deciding our next move.
"Welp, if they found us in Vegas they probably know about our hotel reservation.." Frankie observed.
"I just canceled it but if we were to get another room it wouldn't be in our best interests to use a name that they can trace back to us…" I murmured.
"OOHH! I KNOW!" Frankie's sudden exclamation drew many eyes to us.
"Shoot,"
"Camilla!" She made jazz hands at the name.
"Girl, I thought you had an idea about our living situations, the name ain't gonna help."
"Oh, I just thought we would use the name for the reservation. They'd probably overlook it considering they aren't about to check like every hotel reservation…" she trailed.

Three hours after our short cafe brainstorm session, here I am, spread out in a queen-sized bed.
"Re-lax-ation, at last," Frankie sighed, contemptuous.
Looking to my right, the clock read 7:06 PM. I was too tired to go anywhere. I wasn't hungry either after our run-in this afternoon. All I wanted was to slip into a relaxing slumber that lasted forever. As my eye-lids grew heavier, my will to keep them up faded. Eventually scrummaging into the depths of darkness.

"OH, EM, GEE! LIA! WAKE UP!"
I shot straight up, looking around for any sign of danger. Finding none I turned to the source of the unnecessary scream.
"Seriously Frankie?!" I exclaim, annoyance easily detectable in my voice.
"What?"
My eyes drifted to the time displayed on the clock next to me.
10:38 AM
It wasn't necessarily early, in fact, it was quite late. Thus, I couldn't blame her for waking me up late.
"Lia, I got a text from an unknown number.. It said some… questionable things,"
I tensed.
I knew he could easily get our numbers due to his endless funds and resources.
"Let me see," I grit out.
I see you
The message read.
My face paled.
No.
No.
No, no.
How?
How did he find us so fast!
We just landed!
I pulled at my hair in both frustration and fear.
My emotions spiraled.
Breathing became hard, a chore.
Gasping for the oxygen that refused to enter my lungs.
"...Lia..Lia…"
"LIA! Calm down! It's okay! We'll get out of this okay? Just breathe!" Frankie shook me out of my spiraling thoughts.
Following her lead, I took a deep breath mirroring her timing.
In for three, hold for three, out for three, hold for three, repeat.
"Good," Frankie praised as my breathing evened out, "now, are we going to find a way out of this together or are you just going to hyperventilate again?"
"Let's figure this out," I smiled.
DING!
Frankie's phone vibrated with another text.
We both peaked over at the number.
Unknown.
Our breathing stilled as she rushed to unlock and open the message.
That was close… it'd be a shame if you died just like that.
We looked at each other. I was sure my face mirrored the panic in her ocean blue orbs.
I felt my breathing still before it sped up again, however, before it could reach a concerning speed, Frankie tapped my hand.
I followed her gaze, my face hardening when it landed on a hidden camera in the leaves of the peace lily.
Storming over, I tossed the camera to the floor, crushing it along with the bugging device next to it.

We had decided to check the room for more cameras and bugs, finding another 4. A camera and bug in the kitchen, two cameras in each bedroom and a bug in the bathroom.
Afterwards, we had decided to head out to get some food and think of our next move.
"So…" Frankie started as the waiter left after bringing us both our food and drinks.
"Do you wanna stay or leave?" I ask.
"I say, we stay unless another message pops up. You deserve a chance to relax. I'll look for anything suspicious while you go get some rest and relax. Deal?"
I froze.
In doing this, we would be indirectly telling whoever it was that was messaging us that we weren't scared. She knew this too.
"...Sure," I finally agreed, weighing the pros and cons, "but under the condition that at the first sight of danger we leave, deal?" I continued, laying out my conditions to our agreement.
She nodded, signaling that she understood.
Coming to an agreement, we stood up with our trash, ready to leave.
As I went to toss my empty cup I bumped into a man.
Muttering my apologies I caught up to Frankie and we left together.
However, what happened the moment we left was unexpected.
I guess we wouldn't be staying in Vegas for long…
