Chapter 1: The Boy Who Runs A Shop

Chapter 1: The Boy Who Runs A Shop

On the busy street of the Cloud Sword City.

"Let's go, I want to try out my new sword." A red-haired young man was excitedly waving a long brown sword on his hand.

Following behind the young man, were two women and one man. The two women were shaking their heads as they looked at the red-haired young man behaving childishly. While the other man was staring at the bow on his hands, eyes shining brightly.

One of the young woman said, "You guys are lucky that there are weapons that suits you. I can't find any good spears in this city."

This young woman was wearing a white light armor, with golden lines forming mysterious runes. She looked like a typical woman knight would, paired with her blonde hair tied into a ponytail. She is a beautiful woman, judging by the number of headturns given to her.

The other woman beside her, with short black hair, patted her shoulders.

"I'm sure there will be something that suits you in the next city. We still have to finish the mission so we are in a hurry."

"Don't worry Shane, we'll accompany you to look for a new spear. If we can't find one, we can just order a customize one for you." Said the young man with the bow.

The dispirited young woman, Shane, just nodded her head. Her father had already ordered a customized spear for her, the only problem is that it will take time before its done.

She was only planning on looking for a temporary weapon but there were no suitable spears in this city. Shane was not that disappointed as the city they were in is known for their swords.

"I told you to just buy a sword. The spear you're using now is about to break, it will be a huge problem if it breaks during the battle." Said the red-haired young man after he was done trying out his sword. He did not even bother to care about the nasty glare the passer-by were giving him due to his behavior.

His skin is too thick to be ashamed.

"Shane specializes in spears, so it would be weird if she uses a sword. And she's nothing like you, Roan." The black haired woman said. "Shameless."

"Hey! I was just saying, it's not like she'll use it for long." Roan answered.

Jason, the young man with the bow suddenly pointed at a certain direction.

"Is it just me, or that shop looks out of place?" He asked.

Roan and the black haired woman, Liza turned to look at where he was pointing.

"It is not that it is out of place, there must be some kind of hiding spell casted on that shop." Shane expressed her thoughts, she was the first one to notice the weirdness of that shop.

"Woah! You're right, that shop feels weird." Roan exclaimed as he looks at the shop. He started walking towards the shop followed by everyone.

They were already used to Roan's straightforward behavior, it may have caused some misunderstanding between them at the beginning. But after some time together, they just labeled him as someone "simple-minded".

The shop was not that far as they soon arrived in front of it. They stared at it and was once again assaulted by a weird feeling none of them could explain.

Liza looked seriously as the door of the shop, "Once we open that door, we would have no way to know what's behind it. This shop is really weird so I want everyone to- Hey!"

Before she could even finish what she was saying, Roan had already opened the door.

Road turned to look at Liza, "What?"

Shane and Jason also stared at Roan, after seeing that nothing happened after a while. Jason couldn't help but ask.

"You... Are you fine?"

"Of course, what are you guys standing there, come on." Roan gave Jason a look that said 'Why are you even asking' as he then entered the shop.

The other three stared at each other for a while before Shane step forward as she also entered the shop.

She was then followed by the other two.

Inside the shop, it was much more spacious than it looked on the outside.

The shop was divided into three, on the left were full of bottles, which should be potions. On the center were what looks like to be accessories encased in glass. While at the right were armor stands and weapons on display.

The design on the shop was minimal and simple. There was not even any lucky charms or attractions to make it look like interesting. But strangely enough, they were still captivated by this simple shop.

While Jason, Liza, and Roan were admiring the simplicity of the shop. Shane's eyes were instantly drawn towards a spear on the display.

The spear was 2 meter long and about 3.2 cm in diameter. The shaft was made out of an unknown wood but it was giving off a bright luster. The pointed head of the spear was made out of a very sharp material, Shane even felt threatened just by looking at it. The connection between the shaft and the pointed head looks seamless that it looks like it is made out of one material.

"Such a beauty, right?" A voice suddenly came beside her as Shane nodded subconsciously.

Admiring the spear, Shane suddenly realizes something as she turns to look beside her. She saw a young boy, wearing what seems to be an oversize clothes. His hair was silver white, the same as his eyebrows and eyelashes. But his eyes were bright blue with a golden hue.

Seeing that she was looking at him, the boy smiled at her as he walks toward the spear and took it out from the display.

"Here, try her out. See if you're comfortable with each other." He handed the spear at her.

Shane only then came out of her daze when the spear was already on her hands. She look at the boy in front of her and was just about to ask a question when she felt a sudden jolt of electricity coursing throughout her body.

Then after that, an inexplicable sense of comfort invaded her senses as she felt a connection with the spear on her hands.

"Made out of the tip of a Stark Wood, flexible and sturdy. The pointed head is made from Stormcobalt, which gives it the ability to tear through the wind. She can easily decimate a platoon in a flash." The boy describe the spear on her hands as he stared at her with a smile. Shane felt that his smile was weird but she can't point out which is weird.

"What's it called?" She asked, she was going to ask something different but that was the question that came out of her mouth.

"She's called Tempest Breaker."

"Tempest Breaker..." Shane stared at the spear on her hands, feeling the connection between them. She let out a smile.

"Shane this shop is a sham, the potions here are... Who are you? Shane?" Liza walked towards Shane while complaining about the prizes but stopped when she saw the boy.

"Who I am?" The boy asked them, he let out a smile.

"My name's Aiden." He greeted them with a bow as he continued.

"And I'm the owner of this shop."
