Why Egypt as the first starting point:

Kim's last expedition was in ancient Indonesia, now submerged as well; he went there looking for an artifact. Before the attack of the super Megalodon on the team, he managed to find this key piece, which would give him clues that would lead him directly to Egypt. Of course, there were pyramids all over the ancient world, but Kim managed to rule out many after finding the artifact.

It was a small pyramid carved in black granite with an eye at the top; it was the second of its kind found and was called the black pyramid of Orion. I analyzed it in depth, and we found that, when placed in a position aligned with Orion's belt, plus moonlight, it became legible, and we see the names of several pyramids.
