The night sky twinkles
As we both watch it, sharing giggles
The moon and the stars
We both loved them even from a far
"I love you to the stars and back"
I said under my breath, waiting for you to answer me back
But seeing you busy staring at the moon, that's now half full
I now know the answer, and it was so cruel
"I love you to the moon and back"
Finally he answered back
A tear suddenly escaped my eyes
Hope he'll not see, the silent cries
Witnessing their vow
Maybe I should stop now
Yes I maybe part of his universe
And I may not be the brightest in the entire universe
But I am Antares
The star that's closest to moon than the rest
The person who's always here
Yet my voice he wouldn't hear
His vision locked with Polaris
The brightest star and might as well the prettiest
He turned his back on his Antares
And chased and begged to be with Polaris
"One, two, three..." *click*
Even if it's not me
"And pose! Good job everybody"
Please be happy
Maybe the universe just let two lovers of the night sky together
But they'll never look at each other the way the guy looks at the moon and the girl looks at the stars.
I wrote this when my bestfriend fell for the man I love the most. They are both lovers of the moon, yet I am here loving the indistinct stars all alone.
