She knew she shouldn't have run around aimlessly causing everyone to worry – moreover, she knew she shouldn’t be lying.

But she couldn't reveal her uncle's actions. She didn’t want him to be discovered by everybody. Her uncle’s mood had finally improved a bit, no longer as gloomy as before. She hoped his mood could continue to improve.

She knew the man she called uncle was not a bad person and wouldn’t harm her, so, she thought that there should be no problem in helping to cover for him.
