Chapter 1471: A Twist in the Tale(1)
Bit by bit, Wen Ruqing's lips curved into a smile, graceful and gorgeous. Yet, inexplicably, Mr. Han felt a chill down his spine whenever he saw this. He suddenly had a niggling feeling that something bad was about to happen. Something really bad.
Staring at him, Wen Ruqing continued to smile. "Very strict rules..."
She deliberately paused halfway through her sentence, then slowly added, "Hearing you say that, I seem to recall something..."
As she once again purposefully paused, Mr. Han felt as though his breath got stuck in his throat. Seeing that Wen Ruqing didn't seem to have the intention to continue, Mr. Han grew anxious, "What did you recall?"
On saying this, Mr. Han swallowed hard, stretching his neck as he stared fixedly at Wen Ruqing, his expression resembling a man anxiously awaiting his judgment day.
Xiao Jiu sneered at Mr. Han's demeanor, finding him utterly clueless and out of his depth.
