Leaving

"We will leave tonight. I hope you get pregnant soon," Maha Lakshmi said.

Laya's mother-in-law gave a lecture to her. She left dejectedly. She went to her room and sat on the bed.

She felt that Rahul was quite understanding, unlike his mother. But she felt anger, deception, and betrayal. Everything he said was a lie!! Rahul, who came inside, saw his wife looking angry. He went behind her and hugged her.

"You don't need to act like this! I know you need a child before a year. And want me to be your baby maker?! I will sleep with you tonight! We can make babies for you and your family! Don't worry! And keep some distance from me!" Laya growled at him.

Laya felt like her whole world completely collapsed. She didn't expect her dreams would be burned completely. She didn't expect her parents would do this kind of deal. She felt tears threatening to fall. This is not what she expected, she wanted to achieve her dreams, and her family pressured her, which made it hard for her. Tears kept falling from her eyes and Rahul panicked for a minute.

"Laya, what happened? Is it hurting somewhere" he asked, checking her hands. She slapped his hand away then slapped him on his cheek.

"D-don't dare to touch me," she said while hiccuping. Rahul couldn't understand what was happening, but still, he gave her water so she would stop hiccuping.

"Now tell me what happened," he asked, sitting beside her but maintaining his distance.

"You lied to me!!" she said in an accusing tone.

His confusion was displayed across his features as he asked, "What are you saying? I'd never lie to you."

"But you did!!" Laya shouted, "My career, my dreams are all going to go down just because your family wants grandchildren." And with this outburst, even Rahul was left shocked.

"What? Who said that to you?"Rahul asked her still not able to come out of the shock.

"Your Mother!" With this answer Rahul was even more shocked.

"I will solve it for you. My parents never asked for any demands. I don't know why they are behaving like this! I will get to know everything. Give me a day" Rahul pleaded.

Laya was torn between believing him and calling him out for lying, but she decided to trust him after seeing his pleading eyes and the caring actions of the previous days.

"Fine, but if you don't have answers…then leave me," she said. She knew she was wrong. The heartbroken face of Rahul made Laya change her statement which made him smile like he used to.

"If you find answers, I will give my all to you," she said and kissed his face. They went inside the bathroom to wash her face. Rahul, seeing her calm down, felt relaxed. But he was still angry at how his mom could do such things. When he promised Laya that he would help her achieve her dreams, he was damn sure about it and no one could change it now, not even his mom. Rahul was so angry that he felt like killing someone.

Rahul decided to have a talk with her mother after they returned to their house. And anyhow… They were building a new branch in Chennai. He would go there and fasten the thighs for her. Rahul knew that Laya was an interior designer. If she wanted, she could have lots of good opportunities.. It already turned night by the time he had finished working and made calls to his workers in Chennai.

Since they were having Ghattam nights, today was the second day, the day they should not eat dinner. They could only eat fruits. Rahul was waiting for Laya to enter the bedroom. He couldn't wait to tell her.

As he waited, his wife entered the bedroom wearing a white saree like yesterday but the design and model were different. But this saree was a bit see-through. Her skin could be seen through her saree. He smiled at her. When she entered, she usually gave a warm milk glass to him and settled herself to the other side of the bed, intending to sleep. Rahul drank the milk in one gulp and kept the glass on the table.

He went to the other side where Laya was facing. He hugged her as he settled himself beside her. "My little chilly, We will go to Chennai after some time. I got my employees to fix things for us. So endure with my mother for a few days.We will live alone. There won't be my parents or my family. Only you and me, okay?" Rahul said.

"Doesn't it mean, I separated a son from his parents? Rahul, can you think before you do things?" Laya said she didn't want to break someone's relationship with anyone.

She just wanted everyone to respect her as a person. Just because she was a woman, doesn't mean that she had to listen to everyone's words. She had her future dreams and goals. Can't she achieve that? Isn't she allowed to do so? Rahul didn't think that way. He understood that Laya wanted her dreams and thoughts to be respected and be appreciated.

"I will solve it for you. But you have to be at least happy that your dreams wouldn't stop here," Rahul said.

Laya turned around and kissed him on his forehead and snuggled close to him. But will Rahul leave her? No. He took that as a chance and gave her a deep passionate kiss. He took their session to another level. Laya wanted to stop him but she didn't. She burned in the flames of passion. She allowed him to do anything. Rahul left marks on her here and there on her body. Laya didn't even know what happened, but she only remembers that she wanted more. But Rahul stopped at the main point. He left her and then he hugged her to sleep.

The third day went like usual. As usual they slept in the same bed sharing a kiss with each other. After they finished their Ghattam nights they left Laya's in-law's house. After three hours of arduous car ride. They reached her husband's house.
